King City Secondary School, or KCSS, is a secondary education facility in King City, Ontario, Canada. It is a secular public school administered by the York Region District School Board. The school is located at 2001 King Road, and the current principal is Helga Curry. The school day runs from 08:20 to 14:30.A French immersion program was established at the school beginning in September 2019.

King City GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network located in King City, Ontario in Canada. It also serves the nearby communities of Nobleton, Oak Ridges, the northern parts of Maple (in Vaughan), and other communities in King Township. It is a stop on the Barrie line train service.

The Oak Ridges Trail Association (ORTA) is an incorporated charitable organisation whose purpose is to develop, maintain, promote and expand the hiking trail system across the Oak Ridges Moraine in south-central Ontario, Canada. ORTA has ten chapters, each of which maintains a section of the approximately 250 km of trail. The Oak Ridges Trail is connected to the Bruce Trail, Ganaraska Trail, Nokiidaa Trail and Trans Canada Trail. ORTA is governed by a board of directors who have responsibilities for managing the various aspects of the organization. Directors on the board are elected at an annual general meeting. ORTA Mission Statement is "To build and maintain a public hiking trail system on the Oak Ridges moraine, off-road where possible, and To organize and promote hiking on this trail system, and To encourage responsible stewardship of the Moraine's natural environment."

All Saints, King City is a parish of the Anglican Church of Canada in the Diocese of Toronto, Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario. It was established in 1857 in Springhill, now known as King City. The facility was originally built of pine cleared from the site, and was covered with brick in 1871. In 1960, the building was extended with the addition of the parish hall.Weekly services are held on Sundays at 08:00 and 10:30, with nursery care and Sunday School provided at 10:30 am. Oak Ridges—Markham was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 2004 to 2015. Its population in 2006 was 169,645., with 136,755 electors, the highest of any riding in Canada. By 2011, the riding's population had risen to 228,997, the largest population of all ridings in Canada.The district covered part of the suburbs north of Toronto. It included the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, most of the township of King (excepting extreme northeast) the northern portions of the town of Richmond Hill (including all of Oak Ridges), and the northern and eastern portions of the city of Markham. The electoral district was created in 2004 52.5% from Oak Ridges, 30% from Markham, 13% from Vaughan—King—Aurora, and 4.5% from York North riding. Following the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution, the district was split between King—Vaughan, Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill, Markham—Unionville, and Markham—Stouffville.

Its population in 2006 was 169,645, with 136,755 electors, the highest of any riding in Ontario. It was the fastest growing riding in the province, having experienced a 52.5% increase in population from 2001 to 2006. The district covered part of the suburbs north of Toronto. It included the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, most of the township of King (excepting extreme northeast) the northern portions of the town of Richmond Hill (including all of Oak Ridges), and the northern and eastern portions of the city of Markham. The electoral district was created in 2004 52.5% from Oak Ridges, 30% from Markham, 13% from Vaughan—King—Aurora district and 4.5% from York North riding. In 2018, the district was dissolved into Markham—Stouffville, King—Vaughan, Markham—Unionville and Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill.

King City is an unincorporated Canadian community in the township of King, Ontario, located 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Toronto. It is the largest community in King township, with 2,730 dwellings and a population of 8,396 as of the 2021 Canadian census.

The Country Day School (CDS) is an independent, non-profit, preparatory, co-educational day school in King City, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1972.CDS is a member of Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) and the Conference of Independent Schools of Ontario (CIS Ontario). Its Head of School is John Liggett.

Kirby GO Station is a planned GO Transit train station to be built by Metrolinx on Kirby Road in Vaughan, Ontario, as part of GO Transit's Regional Express Rail (RER) expansion program. Approximately 1000 parking spaces will be provided on the east side of the station. A bus loop and a kiss and ride area will also be provided.Although a station in the area had previously been supported by local politicians, it wasn't until 2015 that Metrolinx proposed it, as part of a larger list of possible future station sites. The station was ultimately included on the list of stations to be built in the RER program. In March 2018, a Metrolinx report found that the station would save them C$437 million, with introduction of express service expected to reduce the impact on riders north of Kirby.In December 2018, an Auditor General's report found that Metrolinx improperly approved the station under political pressure from then-Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca and recommended that the MTO conduct an independent review of the station. The report found that the station would cause ridership loss of 57,000 people in 2031. Because of this, the timing of the station's construction and opening is uncertain.

The Maple Leaf Cricket Club is a cricket club in King City, Ontario, Canada, about 30 kilometres north of Toronto, Ontario. It was established in 1954 and operates a turf wicket facility. In 2006, it became the second ground in Canada to be approved to host One Day Internationals (ODI) by the International Cricket Council.The facility has 5 cricket grounds. The North-West ground is the most important, and ODIs and Twenty20 Internationals have been played at this ground since the 2008 season. The Maple Leaf Cricket Club has become the primary cricket venue in Canada, assuming the role from the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club.The facility has hosted major events including games in the 2001 ICC Trophy, two first-class matches in the 2006 ICC Intercontinental Cup, several games in the ICC Americas Championship tournaments of 2000 and 2006, and the 2008 Quadrangular Twenty20 Series. It was the venue for all the matches in the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament.

Temperanceville is an unincorporated community in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada, straddling two geopolitical jurisdictions, King and Richmond Hill. It is located at the southeastern edge of King and northwestern part of Richmond Hill, east of King City and adjacent to the western part of Oak Ridges. The settlement became home to James and Mary Love in 1804, the former being a cobbler and farmer who was also a teetotaler.: 104  Their home would be used for church services, leading to the settlement being named 'Love's Corner'.: 104  The settlement also had an active temperance movement, with at least five temperance societies active in the area by the 1890s.: 104  Its name was changed in the early 1900s when the prohibition campaign became popular through the promotion of 'temperance values'. This campaign would later help cripple the hotel industry in the area. Temperanceville would grow to boast a post office, several businesses, and a market. Today, the most popular part of Temperanceville is the Temperanceville Park, which now has ample parking, a soccer field, and a large children's play area. In King Township, it is part of electoral Ward 1.

Hope is the northernmost community in the city of Vaughan, in Ontario, Canada. The community is mostly rural, with farms scattered along the major thoroughfare. The heart of the settlement is at Keele Street and Kirby Road, with its eastern side stretching as far as Bathurst Street. South of Hope are the communities of Teston and Maple. Recently, due to Vaughan's strong growth, its urban sprawl has had an effect on Hope, and its neighbouring communities as well. In the future urban plan for Maple, the North Maple Park is planned to meet the current heart of the community. Metrolinx has approved for a Kirby GO Station along the Barrie line to be built. A large residential area is also planned.
