Rockland District High School (other common names are RDHS and RD) is a public intermediate and secondary school in Clarence-Rockland, Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Upper Canada District School Board. The school has offered secondary grades 9-12 since opening, and added intermediate grades 7–8 in the 2012–2013 school year. Two new classrooms were built in the summer of 2012 on the second floor to accommodate the additional grades. The student population is 405 as of August 2017.

Cumberland is an unincorporated village on the Ottawa River in Cumberland Ward, in the city of Ottawa. It was part of the historic Township of Cumberland. In 1999, the township became the short lived City of Cumberland which amalgamated into the City of Ottawa in 2001. While the community of Cumberland was located in the City of Cumberland, it only made up a small percentage of the population of the city. Ecole secondaire Hormisdas-Gamelin is a public francophone high school located in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. It is located in the east end of the city in the Buckingham sector on MacLaren Street. It is operated by the Centre de services scolaire au Cœur-des-Vallées which operates institutions in the Buckingham area as well as in the Papineau region of the Outaouais. The school is home to an international program to more skilled students. The program's goal is to initiate schools to be more open and informed about the worldwide realities and cultures. There also additional specific formation programs called voies in which students can have specific courses in some domains including sports, sciences, arts or citizen, environment and visual arts. The school's football team is called the Tigers.

Masson-Angers is a former municipality and now a sector within the city of Gatineau. It is located on the north shore of the Ottawa River, in Quebec, Canada, approximately 30 km (18.6 mi) northeast of downtown Ottawa, Ontario. The Lièvre River (French: Rivière du Lièvre; French pronunciation: [ʁivjɛʁ dy ljɛvʁ]) is a river in western Quebec which flows south from the Mitchinamécus reservoir and empties into the Ottawa River at Masson-Angers. The river is 330 kilometres (210 mi) long and drains an area of 10,400 square kilometres (4,000 sq mi). The river's name is an adaptation of its former French name Riviere aux Lièvres, "River of the Hares". The 1908 landslide at Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette and the earlier 1903 clay landslide at Leda both occurred on this river. At one time, the river was used to transport logs downstream to sawmills located near the river's mouth. In 1928, a paper mill was built near the mouth of the river. On December 18, 1998, this mill was bought from Industries James Maclaren Inc. by private investors and became Papier Masson Ltee. In turn, the White Birch Paper Company bought it in January 2006.There are a number of hydroelectric plants on the river, as well as large and viable deposits of Uranium ore in the district. The river is the subject of Archibald Lampman's poem "Morning on the Lièvre". The award-winning short film Morning on the Lièvre paired a narration of Lampman's poem with footage of two men canoeing on the river.

Buckingham is a former town located in the Outaouais region in the western portion of the province of Quebec, Canada. Since 1 January 2002, it has been part of the amalgamated city of Gatineau, which merged five former municipalities, including Masson-Angers, Buckingham, Hull, Aylmer and Gatineau, into a single entity. According to the 2016 Census, the population of the town was 16,685.

Bearbrook is a dispersed rural community in Cumberland Ward in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is named after the nearby small creek Bear Brook, a tributary of the South Nation River.
