Richwood is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that is split between Harrison Township (with 3,400 of the CDP's residents) and Mantua Township (with 59 of the total). As of the 2020 United States census, the CDP’s population was 3,577, an increase of 118 (+3.4%) from the 3,459 enumerated at the 2010 U.S. census. The community was once known as Mount Pleasant.

It was built c. 1860 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 1979, for its significance in architecture. The listing includes the adjacent church cemetery.

The Mount Pleasant School, now known as the Richwood Academy Cultural Center, is a historic school building located at 836 Lambs Road in the Richwood section of Harrison Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. Built in 1870, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 14, 2023, for its significance in architecture and education.

Gloucester County Christian School (GCCS) is a private Christian school located in the Sewell section of Mantua Township, New Jersey, United States. Gloucester County Christian School was founded in 1964 and organized by a group of parents. GCCS is owned and operated by Hardingville Bible Church. The school is a member of the American Association of Christian Schools and the Garden State Association of Christian Schools.As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 317 students and 20.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.8:1. Ewan is an unincorporated community located within Harrison Township, in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is served by the United States Postal Service as ZIP Code 08025.The community is located east of Raccoon Creek and Ewan Lake, near the intersection of Ewan Road and Clems Run, 2.0 miles (3.2 km) south-southwest of Richwood and 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southeast of Mullica Hill.Constructed in 1793, the Iredell House No. 2, located on Ewan Road, was constructed by Thomas Iredell for his second wife. The peak of the front of the house shows the letter "I", underneath that the letters "T.A.R." and below that the number 1793; the three letters are thought to be the initials of Iredell's three children.

The Lipari Landill is an inactive landfill on a 6-acre (2.4 ha) former gravel pit in Mantua Township, New Jersey. It was used from 1958 to 1971 as a dump site for household and industrial wastes. Toxic organic compounds and heavy metals dumped at the site have percolated into the ground water and leached into lakes and streams in the surrounding area. The site has been identified as the worst toxic dump in the United States and was ranked at the top of the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Superfund eligibility list.

The Memorial Presbyterian Church is located at 202 E. Mantua Avenue in the borough of Wenonah in Gloucester County, New Jersey. The church was designed by architect Isaac Newton Pursell in Late Gothic Revival style and built in 1904. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 7, 2013, for its significance in architecture.

Harrison Township is a township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 12,417, reflecting an increase of 3,629 (+41.3%) from the 8,788 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 4,073 (+86.4%) from the 4,715 counted in the 1990 Census.Harrison Township was originally formed as Spicer Township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 13, 1844, from portions of Greenwich Township and Woolwich Township. That name lasted for less than a year, with Harrison Township adopted as of April 1, 1845. The township was named for President William Henry Harrison.Since the institution of Prohibition, Harrison had been a dry township, where alcohol could not be sold. The township's voters passed a referendum in 2009 permitting alcohol by consumption (in a restaurant). A second referendum was passed by the voters in 2015 allowing package goods sales (liquor stores). The first liquor store opened in November 2018 and the first bar opened in July 2019.

The South Jersey Times is a newspaper serving the South Jersey area of New Jersey. It began publication on November 4, 2012, following a merger of three affiliated papers, Gloucester County Times, The News of Cumberland County and Today's Sunbeam of Salem, each of which were founded during the 1800s, and all of which ceased publication after their November 3, 2012 edition. The paper initially focused coverage on Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties before expanding to cover all of South Jersey. The paper, which brought over the staff of its predecessors and launched with a subscriber base of 30,000, is an affiliate of NJ.com.As of July 2015, the publisher was Joseph P. Owens. Initially, the paper's main office took over the Gloucester County Times offices in Woodbury, with a satellite office in the former Today's Sunbeam office in Salem, until all operations were consolidated in a new building in Mullica Hill in 2015.

Mantua Township (pronounced man-CHEW-uh) is a township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 15,217, reflecting an increase of 1,000 (+7.0%) from the 14,217 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 4,143 (+41.1%) from the 10,074 counted in the 1990 Census.Mantua Township was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 23, 1853, from portions of Greenwich Township. Portions of the township were taken to form East Greenwich Township (February 10, 1881) and Pitman (May 24, 1905). The township is named after Mantua, in Italy or for a Mantua sub-tribe of the Lenape Native Americans.
