Zielona Góra Voivodeship (1975–1998)

Gmina Zielona Góra was a rural gmina (administrative district) in Zielona Góra County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. Its seat was the city of Zielona Góra. Since January 1, 2015 the gmina is a dzielnica of the city. The gmina covered an area of 220.45 square kilometres (85.1 sq mi), and as of 2011 its total population was 18,798.

Zielona Góra County (Polish: powiat zielonogórski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lubusz Voivodeship, western Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Zielona Góra, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county). The county contains five towns: Sulechów, which lies 23 km (14 mi) north-east of Zielona Góra, Nowogród Bobrzański, which lies 25 km (16 mi) south-west of Zielona Góra, Babimost, which lies 40 km (25 mi) north-east of Zielona Góra, Czerwieńsk, which lies 11 km (7 mi) north-west of Zielona Góra, and Kargowa, 40 km (25 mi) north-east of Zielona Góra. The county covers an area of 1,349.75 square kilometres (521.1 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 75,626. The most populated towns are Sulechów with 16,831 inhabitants and Nowogród Bobrzański with 5,165 inhabitants.

The University of Zielona Góra was founded on 1 September 2001 as a result of a merger between Zielona Góra's Pedagogical University, which was founded in 1971 and Technical University, which was founded in 1965. It is one of the newer universities in Poland. Main buildings are located in two campuses: "A" on Podgórna street and "B" on Wojska Polskiego street. The President's office is located near the Old Town on Licealna Street.

Zielona Góra (Polish: [ʑɛˈlɔna ˈɡura] (listen); lit. 'Green Mountain'; German: Grünberg in Schlesien, Silesian: Zielōnŏ Gōra) is the largest city in Lubusz Voivodeship, located in western Poland, with 140,892 inhabitants (2020). Zielona Góra is one of the two capital cities of Lubusz Voivodeship, where is the seat of the province's elected assembly, while the seat of the centrally appointed governor is located in the city of Gorzów Wielkopolski. Zielona Góra has a favourable geographical position, being located not far from the Polish-German border and on several international road and rail routes connecting Scandinavia with Southern Europe and Warsaw with Berlin. The region is also closely associated with vineyards and holds an annual Wine Fest.

Zielona Góra Główna (Polish for Zielona Góra Main station) is a railway station in Zielona Góra, the largest city in Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland. According to the classification of passenger stations in Poland, it belongs to Voivodeship station. In 2018, the station served approximately 4,400 passengers a day.

CRS Hall Zielona Góra, officially Centrum Rekreacyjno-Sportowe w Zielonej Górze in Polish, is a multi-use indoor sporting arena that is located in Zielona Góra, Poland. The arena can be used for basketball, handball, futsal, volleyball, and cultural and entertainment events. The seating capacity of the arena for basketball games is 6,080, of which 5,080 seats are permanent and 1,000 seats are retractable. It is the home arena of the Polish League professional basketball club Zastal Zielona Góra.

Łężyca [wɛ̃ˈʐɨt͡sa] (German: Lansitz) is a district of the city of Zielona Góra, in western Poland, located in the northern part of the city. It was a separate village until 2014. Łężyca has a population of 1,046.

Rybno [ˈrɨbnɔ] is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Świdnica, within Zielona Góra County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-east of Świdnica and 4 km (2 mi) west of Zielona Góra.

The Bismarck Tower in Zielona Góra, Poland (until 1945 Grünberg in Schlesien, Lower Silesia, Germany) is one of the best-preserved Bismarck towers outside of present-day Germany. It is also called the Wilkanowska Tower, after the hill on which it stands. Despite its name, the tower is actually located in the village of Wilkanowo, Lubusz Voivodeship (Wittgenau in German), 6 km southwest of Zielona Góra. It is still in use as an observation tower and radio mast.

Przylep [ˈpʂɨlɛp] (German: Schertendorf) is a district of the city of Zielona Góra, in western Poland, located in the northwestern part of the city. It was a separate village until 2014. During World War II the Germans established and operated a subcamp of the Gross-Rosen concentration camp in the village, whose prisoners were Jews.

Krępa [ˈkrɛmpa] (German: Krampe) is a district of the city of Zielona Góra, in western Poland, located in the northern part of the city. It was a separate village until 2014. Krępa has a population of 671.

Wilkanowo [vilkaˈnɔvɔ] (formerly German Wittgenau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świdnica, within Zielona Góra County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Świdnica and 6 km (4 mi) south-west of Zielona Góra.
