Leszno Voivodeship

Kreis Lissa (Polish: Powiat leszczyński) was a district in Regierungsbezirk Posen, in the Prussian province of Posen from 1887 to 1920. Its territory presently lies in the southern part of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland.

Leszno [ˈlɛʂnɔ] is a historic city in western Poland, seat of Leszno County within the Greater Poland Voivodeship. It is the seventh-largest city in the province with an estimated population of 62,200, as of 2021.

Leszno railway station is a railway station serving the town of Leszno, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The station opened in 1856 and is located on the Łódź–Forst (Lausitz) railway, Wrocław–Poznań railway and Leszno–Zbąszyń railway. The train services are operated by PKP, Polregio and Koleje Wielkopolskie.

Leszno County (Polish: powiat leszczyński) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Greater Poland Voivodeship, west-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Leszno, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county). The only towns in Leszno County are Rydzyna, which lies 9 km (6 mi) south-east of Leszno, and Osieczna, 10 km (6 mi) north-east of Leszno. The county covers an area of 804.65 square kilometres (310.7 sq mi). As of 2021 its total population is 58,255, out of which the population of Rydzyna is 9,962, that of Osieczna is 9,311, and the rural population is 38,982.

Alfred Smoczyk Stadium (Polish: Stadion im. Alfreda Smoczyka) is a stadium in Leszno, Poland. It is currently used for speedway matches and is the home stadium of Unia Leszno. The stadium has a capacity of 16,700 people. The stadium is located on ulica Strzelecka 7.

Wilkowice [vilkɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lipno, within Leszno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Lipno, 5 km (3 mi) north-west of Leszno, and 64 km (40 mi) south-west of the regional capital Poznań. In 2016, the village had a population of 2,570.

Boża Pomoc [ˈbɔʐa ˈpɔmɔt͡s] is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Lipno, within Leszno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland.
