Fairpark station

Power District Stadium is a proposed baseball stadium to be constructed in Salt Lake City, Utah. It will be home to an expansion/relocated team of MLB. Capacity, ownership, financing and opening are yet to be determined.

The Utah State Fair is held at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The fairgrounds are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The fair takes place each year starting on the first Thursday after Labor Day and lasts for 11 days.

The Albert Fisher Mansion and Carriage House, at 1206 West 200 South in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, was designed by architect Richard K.A. Kletting and was built in 1893. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.In 2006, the Salt Lake City government purchased the house, which was originally the home of a prominent German brewer. Restoration costs were estimated at over $1.7 million, so the city began raising money by arranging tours of the property, and $150,000 was obtained through a federal grant.As a consequence of the Salt Lake City 5.7 magnitude earthquake on March 18, 2020, the mansion was damaged, leading to a closure of the building to the public, boarding up of all the windows and the removal all three damaged chimneys down to the roofline. In September 2020, a plan was approved to renovate the Fisher Carriage House by local preservation firm CRSA, which included fixing damage it sustained by the earthquake and adapting the carriage house into a river engagement center for the Jordan River [1] In March 2022, in what is believed to be the middle of the night, someone stole the fence which surrounded the mansion. The history of the fence isn't as clear as the mansion, which was constructed by Richard K.A. Kletting in 1893. Kletting was the architect behind many distinguished Utah buildings, the Utah State Capitol among them. It's not known if the fence was original to the mansion or if it was added at a later time, but it has been attached to the mansion property in its earliest years, meaning it's possible that Kletting designed the fence during the construction of the mansion. There's a good possibility that it's a unique, custom fence. People with the means of Albert Fisher ... they could hire an architect to design a unique one-of-a-kind piece or they could have used catalogs. It was a very industrial time in the late 19th-turn of the 20th century when the house was built — so it's very possible it could have been ordered from a supplier in San Francisco or perhaps the East Coast. Either way, the designer produced a high-quality fence meant to stand the test of time. While the building has shown signs of wear and tear throughout the years, the fence was as sturdy as ever, though it has since oxidized to black as brass does with time.

Fairpark is a western neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. It lies north of Poplar Grove and south of Rose Park. It is one of the smaller neighborhoods in Salt Lake and is often confused with Rose Park. On the east it is bordered by 500 West and extends west to 1460 West, then following the Jordan River to 700 North, the boundary then curves down to 600 North back to 500 West. On its south, Fairpark is bordered by North Temple which features the iconic restaurant, Red Iguana. This area is rich with diversity, and growing as the city expands west. The neighborhood includes smaller community areas including Guadalupe, Jackson, and Onequa. It has one public school, Mary W. Jackson elementary school. The neighborhood is named after the State Fairpark, which takes up a large portion of the area. Fairpark is home to over 2,800 households and is less than a 5-minute drive to downtown Salt Lake City. Rose Park is a neighborhood located in the northwest area of Salt Lake City, Utah, and is among the most ethnically diverse areas in Utah. Its name comes from the area's original developer, who arranged part of the area's streets in the shape of several roses, with one of its main streets, American Beauty Drive, acting as a long rose stem. This area's original roof shingles were red or green and its street names all feature rose varieties. Rose Park residents enjoy a very short commute (less than 5 minutes) to downtown and many recreational amenities.

First United Methodist Church (historically known as First Methodist Episcopal Church) is a historic church at 200 S. 200 East in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was designed by architect Frederick Albert Hale and was built in 1905. Hale designed dozens of Salt Lake City buildings and a number of churches outside the state, but this was his only church in Utah.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Sun Trapp is a gay bar and nightclub in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The Sun Trapp closed for 42 days and had to restructure staff shifts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Half of staff were laid off. The business joined a lawsuit to challenge alcohol sales rules during the pandemic.

The Chapman Branch Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, is a Carnegie library that was funded by a $25,000 Carnegie Foundation grant and was built in 1918. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
