Abthorpe is a village and civil parish in the valley of the River Tove in West Northamptonshire, England, about 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Towcester, 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of Silverstone and approximately midway between London and Birmingham. The 2001 census recorded 285 people living in the village: 144 male, 141 female in 123 dwellings with a further 3 homes empty and further 3 second or holiday homes. At the 2011 census the population (including Foscote hamlet) was recorded as 311.

Bucknell Wood Meadows is a 9.2-hectare (23-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Silverstone in Northamptonshire.This site consists of agriculturally unimproved fields on seasonally waterlogged soils. The flora is diverse with many herbs, including bird's-foot-trefoil, meadow buttercup and devil's-bit scabious. Variations in the types of flora are partly due to different soils and partly to previous management practices.There is access from public footpaths which pass through the site.

Slapton is a small village in Northamptonshire, England, about 4 miles (6.4 km) from Towcester and the same from Silverstone. It is close to the A43 road which links the M40 motorway junction 10 with the M1 junction 15A at Northampton. Central London is about 60 miles south of M40 junction 10. At the 2011 Census the population remained less than 100 and was included in the civil parish of Whilton. The village is the home of The Slapton Wall Paintings, an extraordinary and rare set of surviving 14th and 15th century wall paintings in the parish church. The village's name means 'farm/settlement which is slippery' or 'farm/settlement which is muddy'.

The Church of St Botolph's, Slapton, also referred to as Slapton, St Botolph, is the ancient parish church of the village of Slapton near Towcester in West Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. Constructed sometime around the late 12th and early 13th centuries the church is notable for its almost complete surviving set of late medieval wall paintings, widely considered the finest in Northamptonshire. The interior was described by Nikolaus Pevsner as "memorably intimate". The church is designated as a Grade I listed building.

Wappenham was a railway station on the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway (SMJ) which served the Northamptonshire village of Wappenham between 1872 and 1951. Serving a relatively rural area, the station saw considerable goods traffic generated by local farming communities, but passenger traffic was low which ultimately led to its closure.

Syresham Marshy Meadows is a 17.8-hectare (44-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Silverstone in Northamptonshire.This site consists of two nearby areas of wetland in valleys which drain into the River Great Ouse. The northern one is a mire on shallow peat, and the southern one is agriculturally unimproved grassland and marsh on diverse soils, which has over a hundred flowering plant species.A footpath leads into the northern area, but there is no public access to the southern one.

Silverstone is a village and civil parish in the West Northamptonshire unitary authority area of Northamptonshire, England. The village is about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) south-southwest of Towcester and 6.5 miles (10.5 km) northeast of Brackley, both accessed via the A43 main road which now bypasses Silverstone to the south and east. The village is also about 11.5 miles (18.5 km) south-southwest of Northampton, 12 miles (19 km) west-northwest of Milton Keynes, and 13.5 miles (21.7 km) east-northeast of Banbury. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 2,176. The village's name probably means 'farm/settlement of Saewulf/Sigewulf'. The Silverstone Circuit, the current home of the British Grand Prix, is located nearby; it straddles the Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire border. The village is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Silvestone and Selvestone.

Bradden is a village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire, England, about 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Towcester. According to the 2021 census, Bradden has a population of 150. The village's name means 'Broad Valley'.

Force India Formula One Team Limited, commonly known as Force India and later Sahara Force India, was a Formula One racing team and constructor based in Silverstone, United Kingdom, with an Indian licence. The team was formed in October 2007 when a consortium led by Indian businessman Vijay Mallya and Dutch businessman Michiel Mol bought the Spyker F1 team for €88 million. After going through 29 races without scoring points, Force India won their first Formula One world championship points and podium place when Giancarlo Fisichella finished second in the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix. Force India scored points again in the following race when Adrian Sutil finished fourth, and set the team's first fastest lap, at the Italian Grand Prix. The team's other podium finishes are five third-places, in the 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix, 2015 Russian Grand Prix, 2016 Monaco Grand Prix, 2016 European Grand Prix and the 2018 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, all achieved by Sergio Pérez. In October 2011, Indian company Sahara India Pariwar, purchased 42.5% of Force India F1's shares at US$100 million.In 2018, Vijay Mallya, accused of fraud and defaulting on loans, could not afford to continue to run Force India. By July 2018, ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, the team announced that they had been put into administration by the High Court in London. The team's assets were bought by a consortium of investors, named Racing Point UK, led by Lawrence Stroll, the father of then Williams driver Lance Stroll. The consortium used the assets to create a new entry into the sport named Racing Point Force India. The constructor that had been founded in 2008 ceased to exist prior to the 2019 Australian Grand Prix when the new team changed their constructor entry to "Racing Point".

It is 5 miles (8 km) south-west of Towcester, north of Syresham and north-west of Silverstone and forms part of West Northamptonshire. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 266 people, increasing to 294 at the 2011 Census.The village's name means 'homestead/village of Waeppa' or 'hemmed-in land of Waeppa'.

The 2003 British Grand Prix (formally the LVI Foster's British Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held on 20 July 2003 at the Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone, Northamptonshire, England. It was the eleventh round of the 2003 Formula One season. The 60-lap race was won by Rubens Barrichello driving for Ferrari after starting from pole position. Juan Pablo Montoya finished second in a Williams car, and Kimi Räikkönen third driving for McLaren. Jarno Trulli, driving for Renault, started alongside Barrichello on the front row and led the first eleven laps of the race, until a track invasion by a later-to-be-defrocked priest, who ran along Hangar straight, running opposite to the 280 km/h train of cars, wearing a saffron kilt and waving religious banners. As a result, the vast majority of cars pitted under safety car conditions, which led to the Toyota drivers Cristiano da Matta and Olivier Panis, who had elected not to pit, leading the field until Räikkönen assumed the lead on lap 30 when Da Matta pitted.
