Hilliard Middle-Senior High School

Hilliard is a town in Nassau County, Florida, United States; northwest of Jacksonville. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,967. Hilliard was named "2003 Rural Community of the Year" by former Florida governor Jeb Bush, for its collaboration with the YMCA to establish a local chapter, which included a swimming pool and exercise facility.

Jacksonville Center is the fourth-busiest ARTCC in the United States. Between January 1 and December 31, 2017, Jacksonville Center handled 2,515,959 aircraft.Jacksonville Center covers approximately 210,000 square miles (540,000 km2) of the Southern United States, including parts of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and North Carolina. ZJX also covers portions of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Jacksonville Center lies adjacent to 5 different Air Route Traffic Control Centers, including Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center, New York Air Route Traffic Control Center, Washington Air Route Traffic Control Center, Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center, and Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center. ZJX overlies or abuts several approach control facilities (Jacksonville, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Tampa, Valdosta, Tallahassee, Tyndall, Eglin, Pensacola, Mobile, Cairns, Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Beaufort, Charleston, Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Shaw, Florence, Wilmington, Fayetteville, Charlotte).

Nassau County is rated as an "A" School District under the Florida A+ Evaluation System. The School is located off Highway 301 and ½ mile from U.S. 1, at 1 Warrior Drive. The main north/south CSX rail line is located directly behind the athletic complex of West Nassau High School.

The Folkston Railfan Platform is located in Folkston, Georgia along CSX Transportation's Nahunta Subdivision, and provides a location where railfans can safely view and photograph trains. With the help of a $30,000 state grant, the city built the train-watching platform in 2001 and is promoted by county and state tourism agencies.Since that time, the city has attracted thousands of railfans from across the nation who come to Folkston to see the dozens of CSX and the six Amtrak trains (including the daily Amtrak Auto Train) that operate between cities in Florida and cities in the south, midwest, and northeast. The platform is equipped with ceiling fans and a radio scanner that allows railfans to hear railroad-related radio traffic. Wireless internet access is available. The double-track mainline that passes through town sees about 40 trains each day. Most CSX freight traffic into or out of Florida passes through Folkston.
