Wildert is a railway station in the village of Wildert, Essen, Antwerp, Belgium. The station opened on 13 November 1881 on the Antwerp–Lage Zwaluwe railway, known in Belgium as Line 12.

Essen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɛsə(n)] ) is a town and municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp, notable for being bordered by the Netherlands on three sides. As of September 2022, it has a population of 19,029 residents. The town belongs to both the electoral canton of Brecht and the judicial canton of Kapellen and is situated in the region of Noorderkempen.

Nispen (Brabantian dialect: Nipse) is a town in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is part of the municipality of Roosendaal, formerly the municipality of Roosendaal en Nispen. Nispen is located in the valley of the river Kleine Aa. First mentioned in 1157, the village was the centre of a large parish. Surrounding villages separated over time, and Nispen soon was overshadowed by its neighbouring village of Roosendaal, becoming an administrative part of Roosendaal in the early 14th century. Gaining some wealth by the trade in turf, the village was destroyed during the Eighty Years' War. Following the Peace of Münster Nispen has been on both the national and religious borders between Protestant Netherlands and Catholic Belgium. The Molen van Aerden (English: Aerden's Mill) is a windmill located on the Raadhuisstraat 28A in Nispen, Roosendaal, in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands. Built in 1850 on an artificial hill, the windmill functioned as gristmill. It was built as a tower mill and its sails have a span of 23.80 metres (78.1 ft). The mill is a national monument (nr 32716) since 19 May 1971. The Molen van Aerden can be visited by appointment.

Roosendaal en Nispen was a municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It included the villages of Roosendaal and Nispen. In 1997, the municipality merged with Wouw. As the town of Roosendaal had become by far the largest in the new municipality, the name of the new municipality became simply "Roosendaal".

The Kalmthout Heath (Dutch: Kalmthoutse Heide) is one of the oldest and largest nature reserves of Flanders, bordering the Netherlands and part of the Dutch-Belgian cross-border park De Zoom – Kalmthoutse Heide. It used to be part of a vastly larger European heath landscape. Its name stems from its location: the Belgian municipality Kalmthout.It has been protected as a landscape since 1941, and officially became a state reserve (Dutch: staatsreservaat) in 1964 due to a petition of over 100,000 signatures.

De Zoom–Kalmthoutse Heide Cross-Border Park is a cross-border park on the Belgian–Dutch border. It is a merger of two former parks, the Kalmthoutse Heide (Kalmthout Heath) in Belgium and De Zoom in the Netherlands, together extending over 37.50 square kilometres (14.48 sq mi). A very large part of the park is covered with heath. The park is managed by a special commission in which both Flemish and Dutch organisations are represented. The park is owned by the state of Flanders, the municipality Kalmthout, Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten and several private owners. The best known part of the border park lies in Belgium, in the north of the province of Antwerp (Kalmthout and Essen). The Dutch part lies in the municipality Woensdrecht (province North Brabant) and stretches from the border to the villages Huijbergen and Putte.

De Donk (other names: Braankse Donk, and Den Donk) is a hamlet in Molenlanden, which is a municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. De Donk is 2 km northwestern of the village of Brandwijk and consists of some farms on a five-meter-high sandhill.

The Arboretum Kalmthout is a botanical garden in Kalmthout, Belgium. It was started as a tree plantation by Charles Van Geert in 1856. Van Geert developed a collection of rare plants and trees before selling the property after 40 years to Antoine Kort. Kort added an extensive collection of Hamamelis or witch hazel to the nursery, but was forced to close his business due to the Great Depression of the 1930s. In 1952, the property was purchased by the brothers Georges and Robert de Belder, to save it from being destroyed by a housing development. At the site, the year that they purchased the property, the de Belder brothers founded the International Dendrology Society (IDS) to promote preservation and conservation of rare or endangered woody plants. Robert de Belder and his wife, Jelena de Belder-Kovačič worked together to build an internationally known arboretum, where plant enthusiasts could study and exchange knowledge and information about plants. In 1986 it became property of the Antwerp province and is now open to public.
