The Kirks Mills Historic District is a national historic district that is located in Little Britain Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Little Britain Township is a township in southeastern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,134 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Solanco School District.

Drumore Township is a township in southwestern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 2,568.It is named after Dromore (Irish: Droim Mór), County Down, now in Northern Ireland, with which it has been twinned since 1996.

The Robert Fulton Birthplace is a historic house museum at 1932 Robert Fulton Highway (U.S. Route 222) south of Quarryville, Pennsylvania. Built in the mid-18th century and reconstructed after a fire demolished it in 1822, it was the birthplace of inventor Robert Fulton (1765–1815). Fulton is best known for the development of commercially viable steamboats as a means of transportation. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1964. The property is owned by the Southern Lancaster Historical Society which gives weekend tours of the house from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The White Rock Forge Covered Bridge or White Rock Covered Bridge is a covered bridge that spans the West Branch of the Octoraro Creek in southeast Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A county-owned and maintained bridge, its official designation is the West Octoraro #2 Bridge. It was first built in 1847 by John Russell and Elias McMellen, but the original was destroyed and last rebuilt in 1884. The wooden burr bridge crosses the West Branch of the Octoraro Creek. It is 103 feet long and 13 feet wide. The bridge has a single span, wooden, double Burr arch trusses design with the addition of steel hanger rods. The deck is made from oak planks. It is painted red, the traditional color of Lancaster County covered bridges, on both the inside and outside. Both approaches to the bridge are painted in the traditional white color. The bridge's WGCB Number is 38-36-18. Added in 1980, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as structure number 80003522. It is located at 39°49′28.8″N 76°5′24″W (39.82467, -76.09000).

William Penn State Forest is a Pennsylvania State Forest in Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry District #17. The main offices are located in Elverson in Chester County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The forest is named for William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. It was originally named "Valley Forge State Forest", for the camp at Valley Forge in the American Revolutionary War. Valley Forge State Park was the first state park in Pennsylvania, and the headquarters of the state forest were located there as well. The state park was transferred to the National Park Service and became a federal park in 1976 for the American Bicentennial. The state forest retained the Valley Forge name for thirty one years. After the July 1, 2005, realignment of Pennsylvania State Forest Districts, what was then Valley Forge State Forest and District #17 acquired the northern parts of Berks and Lehigh Counties from Weiser State Forest and District #18. In August 2007, "In a bid to eliminate public confusion over the name of the federal park and the state forest district, the Bureau of Forestry renamed the Valley Forge State Forest District in honor of one of Pennsylvania's first conservationists -- William Penn."William Penn State Forest is located on 901 acres (365 ha) in ten tracts: 10 acres (4 ha) in Lancaster County; 200 acres (81 ha) on Little Tinicum Island in the Delaware River in Delaware County; and 602 acres (244 ha) of the Goat Hill Serpentine Barrens in Chester County. Also included are the David R. Johnson Natural Area in Bucks County and the Gibraltar Hill and George W. Wertz Tracts in Berks County. District #17 also includes Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, and Philadelphia counties.

Solanco School District is a large, rural public school district located in the southern end of Lancaster County (SoLanCo - Southern Lancaster County), Pennsylvania. Solanco School District encompasses approximately 180 square miles (470 km2). Solanco School District serves: Providence Township, Eden Township, Quarryville Borough, Little Britain Township, Bart Township, Colerain Township, Drumore Township, East Drumore Township and Fulton Township. According to 2008 local census data, it served a resident population of 30,566. By 2010, the district's population increased to 31,871 people. In 2009, the district residents’ per capita income was $17,040, while the median family income was $49,432. In the Commonwealth, the median family income was $49,501 and the United States median family income was $49,445, in 2010.The district operates seven schools: four elementary, two middle/junior high, one high school and a virtual academy (K-12). Wakefield is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) within Fulton Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 609. It is the largest community within the "Peach Bottom" ZIP code, with the area post office on Pennsylvania Route 272, just north of town.

The Horseshoe Scout Reservation is a Boy Scouts of America camp, owned by the Chester County Council, and located on the Mason-Dixon line separating Pennsylvania and Maryland. The name of the camp derives from the Octoraro Creek, a tributary of the Susquehanna River, that makes a meandering 4-mile horseshoe through the property. The Horseshoe Scout Reservation is divided into two camps: Camp Horseshoe (in Rising Sun, Maryland), a Boy Scout-only camp, and Camp John H. Ware, III (in Fulton Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania). Before 1985 as Campe Ware was known as Camp Jubilee, which was first opened in the 1950s as an Explorer base. The Reservation is a "multi-use" facility and hosts Boy Scout, Cub Scout, Venturing and other programs, including a Disabled Scout camporee, every year since 1994. In 2004, Camp Ware opened its "Cub Town," allowing barrack-style sleeping accommodations to Cub Scouts, while several "Webelos sites" allowed 4th and 5th graders to sleep on platform tents similar to those found on most of the tent sites at both Camps Horseshoe and Ware. National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), Wood Badge and Powder Horn are some of the adult and Scout youth leadership training courses are held at Camp Ware during the off-season period.

Fulton Township is a township in southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States, and it is the only municipality in the county to touch the Maryland border. At the 2020 census the population was 3,227. It is part of the Solanco School District.

The Pine Grove Covered Bridge is a covered bridge that spans the East Branch of Octoraro Creek on the border between Lancaster County and Chester County in Pennsylvania, United States. It is the longest covered bridge in Lancaster County. The bridge was built in 1884 by Elias McMellen.

The Rock Springs Generation Facility is a 684 MW natural gas-fired electric generating peaking plant located in Rising Sun, Maryland. The plant comprises four gas turbines and went online in 2003. The plant was originally co-owned by Old Dominion Electric Cooperative and Consolidated Edison, and was sold to AllCapital and Industry Funds Management in 2007. The Carlyle Group, an asset management company, acquired the plant in 2016.
