Fingal is a rural locality of the Mornington Peninsula abutting Bass Strait along Gunnamatta Beach and lying between the suburbs of Rye and St Andrews Beach. St Andrews Beach is a coastal village located on the Bass Strait side of the southern Mornington Peninsula and it is south of Rye, in Victoria, Australia. St Andrews Beach forms part of a 35-kilometre (22 mi) continuous stretch of beach that runs from Cape Schank to Portsea. It is a popular surf location with many good breaks that attracts surfers all year round.The settlement was first subdivided in 1959 and the subdivision was originally marketed as "Capri Beach". In the 1962 a golf course (since closed) was constructed and the subdivision was re-marketed as St. Andrews by the Sea. Originally the homes that were built were small holiday homes but later in the 20th century more substantial homes began to be built as its location became more appreciated. At this time the name St Andrews Beach was adopted by the Council as its official name. Along with much of the Mornington Peninsula, land prices increased dramatically in 2020 and 2021.St Andrews Beach is in the local government area of the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. At the 2001 census, St Andrews Beach had a population of 664, at the 2007 Census the population was 769, at the 2011 Census the population was 1,138, and at the 2016 Census, the population was 889.St Andrews Beach features a unique topography known as The Cups Country, which creates an ideal environment for golf courses. Golfers have a choice of several nearby golf courses including the St Andrews Beach Club on Sandy Road, Moonah Links off Truemans Road, and The Dunes on Browns Road.It is known for its good surf and while popular with experienced surfers, the beach’s history of dangerous rips, fast changing conditions and lack of lifeguards means swimmers should instead choose to swim at one of the Peninsula’s ‘front beaches.’

Capel Sound is a suburb of Melbourne located on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. Its local government area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. At the 2016 Census, Capel Sound, then Rosebud West, had a population of 4,930.A distinguishing landmark feature of Capel Sound is the Tootgarook Swamp, the largest example left of a shallow freshwater marsh in the Port Phillip bay region. The swamp is also described by Melbourne water as a ground water dependent ecosystem. The 381 hectare swamp is found on the lower section of the Mornington Peninsula, called the Nepean Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. A large portion of the Tootgarook Swamp is zoned as residential and industrial, with roughly half of the actual swamp inside the green wedge and half within the urban growth boundary.

Cape Schanck is a locality in the Australian state of Victoria. It is the southernmost tip of the Mornington Peninsula and separates the wild ocean waters of Bass Strait from the slightly calmer waters of Western Port. At the 2016 Census, Cape Schanck had a population of 446.The most recognisable symbol of Cape Schanck is the Cape Schanck Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1859 and was the second lighthouse built in Victoria. A prominent rock outcrop is Pulpit Rock and stands out at the very tip of the cape. Cape Schanck is also home to the RACV Resort Cape Schanck on Boneo Road which includes an eighteen-hole golf course and The National Golf Club on Cups Drive.British-Australian artist Georgiana McCrae produced many of her paintings at Cape Schanck. A keen artist–traveller in the Romantic tradition, Nicholas Chevalier concentrated on effects of atmosphere, mood and dramatic lighting in his depictions of the iconic natural wonders he found at Cape Schanck.

It is wedged between the lower slopes of Arthurs Seat, the shores of Port Phillip and the plains of Boneo. Its local government area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. Rosebud is a popular tourist resort with families who appreciate its sandy beaches and shallow waters.

McCrae is a Melbourne suburb on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. Its local government area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. McCrae is known for the McCrae Lighthouse. No longer an operating lighthouse, it marked the turning point for shipping in the main navigational channels between Port Phillip Heads and Melbourne. Recently a new shopping center called McCrae Plaza opened and it included a Bilo Supermarket, which later became a Coles Supermarket. The area was named after the McCrae family who were the first Europeans to settle the area. The homestead that they built, McCrae Homestead is a National Trust property that is open to the public. In March 2011, McCrae Yacht Club hosted the Victorian Championship regattas for the A-Class Catamarans. They sailed seven races from 12 to 14 March.

Blairgowrie is a seaside town on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, approximately 63 km (39 mi) south of Melbourne's central business district, located within the Shire of Mornington Peninsula local government area. Blairgowrie recorded population of 2,786 at the 2021 census.

The Cape Schanck Lighthouse was built in 1859 as the second coastal lighthouse in the Australian state of Victoria. It is located on Cape Schanck, at the southernmost tip of the Mornington Peninsula. The 21 metres (69 ft) tall tower was built from limestone. The light's focal plane is situated 100 metres (330 ft) above sea level, the light characteristic is the Morse code letter "N", a long signal of 10.8 seconds followed by a flash. Depending on the bearing of the light, the colours are either white (south to west sector) or red (east sector). Due to its powerful lantern of one million candela and a first order Fresnel lens, which was installed in 1915, the light has a range of 26 nmi (48 km). The lighthouse was not only one of the first such buildings in Victoria, it was moreover Australia's first lighthouse tower with stone stairs. During the 1970s and 1980s the facility was restored and has since become an attraction for tourists. Today there is a museum in the old assistants' quarters. Accommodation is available in the old residences of the lighthouse keeper.
