Region Zealand (Danish: Region Sjælland) is the southernmost administrative region of Denmark, established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. Zealand Region has 17 municipalities. The government intends to merge R Sjælland with R. Hovedstaden 1 January 2027. The 41 member regional council will be elected in the 2025 Danish local elections.

The Grevensvænge hoard is a find of the late Nordic Bronze Age (roughly dating to between 800 BC and 500 BC), discovered in the late 18th century at Grevensvænge, Næstved Municipality, Zealand, Denmark. The hoard consisted of seven bronze figurines. Its first mention is in 1779, where it is said to have been found in the ground "a few years ago". After their discovery, they were kept with the pastor at Herlufmagle, Marcus Schnabel. A drawing of four of the figurines was made in 1779, by Schnabel. The drawing shows two kneeling figures of warriors with horned helmets and axes, a leaping acrobat, and a standing woman. Five of these figurines are now lost, while two were bought by the Danish National Museum in 1823 and 1839. Based on comparison with petroglyphs of the same era (e.g. Tanumshede, Sweden), it is assumed that the figurines were originally part of an ensemble arranged on a ship. Both the twins motive and the cultic significance of the horned helmets, seems to have persisted into early Germanic culture. The kneeling warrior figures have been interpreted as the "Ashvins" type divine twins of early Indo-European religion, sons of the sky-god, known by the name of Alcis to Tacitus.

Øbjerggaard is a manor house and estate situated east of Køng, midway between Næstved and Vordingborg some 90 km (56 mi) south of Copenhagen, Denmark. One of 12 new manors created when Vordingborg Cavalry District was dissolved in 1774, it was initially the site of a textile factory established by Niels Ryberg. The current main building from the 1840s is now known as Ny Øbjerggaard (New Øbjerggaard). The old headquarters of the textile factory, Gammel Øbjerggaard (Old Øbjerggaard), constructed by Ruberg in 1780 and listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945, is now home to Køng Museum. The current owner of the estate, Peter Eriksen Oxholm Tillisch, resides at Rosenfeldt, his other estate, while Ny Øbjerggaard is operated as a bed and breakfast. The former Spinning School and Køng Hospital are also heritage listed. Both buildings were constructed by the owner of Øbjerggaard. The spinning school was created to train local girls in the craft of spinning yarn from the flax grown on the fields and used in the textile production.In 1851, Køng Textile Factory was moved to Vintersbølle by a later owner.

Fladså was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Storstrøm County in south Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 133 km2, and had a total population of 7,581 (2005). Its last mayor was Hans R. Hansen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The seat of its municipal council was at Mogenstrup. Neighboring municipalities were Rønnede to the east, Holmegaard to the north, Næstved to the west, and Præstø and Vordingborg to the south. Fakse Bay (Fakse Bugt) made up part of the municipality's eastern border, and Karrebæksminde Bay (Karrebæksminde Bugt made up part of the municipality's western border. On 1 January 2007 Fladså municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It merged with Fuglebjerg, Holmegaard, Næstved, and Suså municipalities to form the new Næstved Municipality. This will create a municipality with an area of 681 km2 and a total population of 78,446 (2005). The new municipality will belong to the new Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region").

Køng is a small town in Vordingborg Municipality, in Region Zealand, Denmark.

Rønnebæksholm is a former manor house located just outside Næstved in south-eastern Denmark. The estate covers 230.5 hectares of land. It was acquired by Næstved Municipality in 1998 and is now run as a cultural centre, hosting a wide range of cultural events, both indoor and outdoor, including art exhibitions, concerts, talks and theatrical performances. Today, the Rønnebæksholm Arts and Culture Centre is a self-owning institution. The main building plays host to four to six exhibitions. The emphasis is on modern and contemporary visual arts.

Lundby is a small railway town, with a population of 843 (1 January 2022), located in Vordingborg Municipality in the southern part of Zealand, Denmark. Lundby Efterskole is located here. Lundby Station serves the Sydbanen line, with hourly departures towards Copenhagen.

Lundbygård is a manor house and estate located in Lundby, Vordingborg Municipality, in the southeastern part of Denmark. It has been owned by the Collet family since 1827. Its current owner is former Danish Defence Minister Bernt Johan Collet. The Neoclassical main building from 1815 was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 6 July 1918.

Næstved Stadium (Danish: Næstved Stadion) is a multi-use stadium in Næstved, Denmark. It is known as MTM Service Park for sponsorship reasons. It is currently only used for football matches and is the home stadium of Næstved BK (until 1996 Næstved IF). The stadium was earlier used for motorcycle speedway races as well, often with crowds of around 20,000 or more. The stadium was opened in 1944 with a capacity of 20,000 spectators. After being renovated in 2002 it now holds 10,000 spectators, including 2,300 covered seats in the main stand.

The Suså or Susåen is a river in Denmark. It is the largest drainage system on the island of Zealand and the fifth largest in Denmark as a whole.

Næstved railway station (Danish: Næstved Station or Næstved Banegård) is the main railway station serving the town of Næstved in southern Zealand, Denmark. It is located in the centre of the town, on the eastern edge of the historic town centre, and immediately adjacent to the Næstved bus station. Næstved station is located on the main line South Line which connects Copenhagen with southern Zealand and the islands of Falster and Lolland. It is also the southern terminus of the Little South branch line from Køge to Næstved. The station opened in 1870, and its current station building designed by the architect Knud Tanggaard Seest was built between 1940 and 1943. The station offers direct regional train services to Copenhagen and Nykøbing Falster operated by the national railway company DSB.

Næstved (Danish pronunciation: [ˈnestve̝ð]) is a town in the municipality of the same name, located in the southern part of the island of Zealand in Denmark. Næstved has several adult education centers, five elementary schools - and has at least one of each type of the four upper-second-level education centers. The city has the largest high school in Denmark, Næstved Gymnasium & HF.
