The Sun Yat-sen or Zhongshan Memorial Hall is an octagon-shaped building in Guangzhou, capital of China's Guangdong Province. The hall was designed by Lu Yanzhi and was built with funds raised by local and overseas Chinese people in memory of Sun Yat-sen. Construction work commenced in 1929 and completed in 1931. The hall is a large octagonal structure with a span of 71 metres (233 ft) without pillars, housing a large stage and seats 3,240 people.

The Second Battle of Guangzhou was fought between the rival armies of the Liangguang region in Southern China as part of the internal conflicts within the Kuomintang leading up to the Central Plains War. The previous month, the New Guangxi clique had fought the Sichuan clique at the Battle of Yichang in Hubei. The forces of the New Guangxi clique attacked Guangzhou from both their home province of Guangxi as well as Jiangxi. Guangdong forces captured a brigade commander of the New Guangxi clique's army.

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station (simplified Chinese: 纪念堂站; traditional Chinese: 紀念堂站; Jyutping: gei2 nim6 tong4 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Géinihmtòhng Jaahm) is a station on Line 2 of the Guangzhou Metro that started operations on 29 December 2002. It is located under Dongfeng Middle Road (东风中路) and Lianxin Road (连新路) in the Yuexiu District of Guangzhou. The station is named for the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, which was established in 1931 in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, the founder of the Republic of China. The English name of the station is the same as that of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station in Taipei, Taiwan's Metro system.

The Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King (Chinese: 西漢南越王博物館 Cantonese: Sai Hon Nam Yuet Wong Mou Bok Mat Gun; Vietnamese: Tây Hán Nam Việt Bác Vật Quán ) houses the 2,000-year-old tomb of the Nanyue King Zhao Mo in Guangzhou. Zhao Mo ruled from 137 BC to 122 BC, and his tomb was discovered in downtown Guangzhou in 1983. The museum, which opened in 1988, showcases the tomb and its complete trove of artifacts. It was named a Major National Historical Site in 1996 and is renowned for its rare assemblage of funerary artifacts representing the diffusion of cultures throughout the Lingnan region during the Han dynasty.

Guangzhou No.2 High School (Chinese: 廣州市第二中學) is a Chinese public high school in Guangzhou, Guangdong. The school was established in August, 1930.

The Yuexiushan Stadium (simplified Chinese: 越秀山体育场; traditional Chinese: 越秀山體育場; Jyutping: Jyut⁶sau³saan¹ Tai²juk⁶coeng⁴) is a multi-purpose stadium in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, named for its location at the foot of Yuexiu Hill. It is currently mostly used for football matches and also sometimes for athletics. It is located on 4 Yingyuan Road. The stadium is owned by the Guangzhou Sports Bureau. The original stadium at the same location opened before 1926. In 1950, it was completely rebuilt with a capacity for 35,000 people. However, following renovation and the installation of fixed seating in 2012, the capacity is now 18,000.The stadium is best reached by taking Guangzhou Metro Line 2 to Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station.

Yuexiu Park Station (simplified Chinese: 越秀公园站; traditional Chinese: 越秀公園站; Jyutping: jyut6 sau3 gung1 jyun2 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Yuhtsau Gūng'yún Jaahm) is a station on Line 2 of the Guangzhou Metro that started operations on 29 December 2002. It is located under Yuexiu Park at the intersection of North Jiefang Road (解放北路) and Liuhua Road (流花路).

The Zhenhai Tower, also known as the Five-Story Pagoda, is a tower in Guangzhou, Guangdong. It is located in Yuexiu Park, in central Guangzhou. It now houses the Guangzhou Museum.

The Peasant Movement Training Institute or Peasant Training School was a school in Guangzhou (then romanized as "Canton"), China, operated from 1923 to 1926 during the First United Front between the Nationalists and Communists. It was located in a former Confucian temple built in the 14th century. The site now houses a museum to Guangzhou's revolutionary past.
