Lamar is a census-designated place in Porter Township in southern Clinton County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 562.The community is located along Pennsylvania Route 64 in southern Clinton County and is bordered on the west by Nittany in Walker Township, Centre County. PA 64 leads northeast 1 mile (2 km) to Exit 173 on Interstate 80 and 11 miles (18 km) to Lock Haven, the Clinton County seat, and southwest through Nittany 23 miles (37 km) to State College. The community is named for Revolutionary War Major Marien Lamar, who was killed in the Battle of Paoli, as stated in the "History of Centre and Clinton Counties, Pennsylvania" by John Blair Linn. Major Lamar was born in Maryland.

Snydertown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Walker and Marion townships in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 483.The village center lies in Walker Township in the Nittany Valley, between the communities of Hublersburg and Nittany near Pennsylvania Route 64. The CDP boundaries extend west to include a residential development on the summit and slopes of Sand Ridge. Interstate 80 in Marion Township on the northwestern side of Sand Ridge forms the northwestern boundary of the CDP, although there is no direct access at this point.

Clintondale is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The CDP is in southern Clinton County, in the west-central part of Porter Township. It is bordered to the southwest by Fishing Creek, across which is the CDP of Lamar. Fishing Creek is a northeast-flowing tributary of Bald Eagle Creek, part of the West Branch Susquehanna River watershed. Pennsylvania Route 64 forms the northwest boundary of Clintondale; it leads northeast 6 miles (10 km) to Mill Hall and southwest 26 miles (42 km) to State College. Interstate 80 passes just north of Clintondale, with access from Exit 173 (PA 64). I-80 leads east 38 miles (61 km) to the Milton area and west 56 miles (90 km) to Clearfield. Clintondale is in the northeast part of the Nittany Valley, with 2,100-foot (640 m) Big Mountain rising 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south and 1,680-foot (510 m) Bald Eagle Mountain 3 miles (5 km) to the north.

Bald Eagle State Park is a 5,900-acre (2,388 ha) Pennsylvania state park in Howard, Liberty, and Marion townships in Centre County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The park includes the Foster Joseph Sayers Reservoir, formed by damming Bald Eagle Creek and other smaller streams and covering 1,730 acres (700 ha). Bald Eagle State Park is at the meeting point of two distinct geologic features. The Allegheny Plateau is to the north and the Ridge and Valley area of Pennsylvania is to the south. The park is in the Bald Eagle Valley off Pennsylvania Route 150 in Howard, between Milesburg and Lock Haven.

Hublersburg is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Walker Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located about 3 miles (5 km) northeast of the community of Mingoville, along Pennsylvania Route 64. As of the 2010 census, the population was 104 residents. The founder of Hublersburg was Jacob Hubler.

Beech Creek is a 27.3-mile-long (43.9 km) tributary of Bald Eagle Creek in Centre and Clinton counties, in Pennsylvania in the United States.Via Bald Eagle Creek, its water flows to the West Branch Susquehanna River, then the Susquehanna River, and ultimately to Chesapeake Bay. Beech Creek is born at the confluence of the North and South Forks, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) upstream of Kato, and flows for 27.3 miles (43.9 km) to join Bald Eagle Creek, 1.8 miles (2.9 km) downstream of the borough of Beech Creek. The abandoned grade of the Beech Creek Railroad follows it along its length, running from its mouth up to the North Fork. At one time it was called North Branch of the Bald Eagle. It was a thoroughfare for the lumber industry, which made canals alongside the stream so it could be useful during the low water season of summer. There are 3 towns alongside it: Beech Creek borough, and 2 villages: Orviston (Centre County), and Monument (Centre and Clinton Counties). The lower half of the creek has no fish population due to high sulfur concentrations from coal industry. The creek is not clearing up as fish can't survive in the water. However, some small amounts of moss, mushrooms and wildlife on the banks are returning. Frogs, wolf spiders, bears, squirrels, snakes, groundhogs, bald eagles, deer, skunks, and many other Pennsylvania wildlife can be found alongside the stream, especially in its upper region. Animals tend to avoid drinking the water, but favor the contributing tributaries. Additionally, on Beech Creek Mountain, one can find active sulfur springs. Evidence is available on Sproul State Forest (41.111978, -77.664207). The south fork of the Beech Creek stream which flows in Centre County gets stocked with trout every year.Beech Creek flows through Beech Creek Township (Clinton County), Liberty Township (Centre County), and Curtain Township (Centre county).The stream is abundant with sand stones, flint and granite, though in some spots clay can be found. Beech, oak, maple, ash, trembling willow and sumac trees grow along with elephant ear tall grass, fern, barberry and other plants like skunk cabbage. The stream is a good swimming stream but in certain spots it is posted,

The population was 1,196 at the time of the 2020 census, a decline from the figure of 1,224 tabulated in 2010. Part of Bald Eagle State Park is in Marion Township.

Christian Bechdel II House is a historic home located at Liberty Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1831, and is a two-story, five bay rectangular brick building measuring 42 feet 8 inches (13.00 m), across and 32 feet 6 inches (9.91 m), deep in the Georgian style architecture. The front facade features a Palladian window in the central bay of the second story. It has a medium pitch, gable roof and a center hall plan interior.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
