Rivers Casino Portsmouth is a casino located in the Hampton Roads city of Portsmouth, Virginia, adjacent to the Tidewater Community College - Portsmouth Campus. Owned by Rush Street Gaming, it opened on January 23, 2023, becoming Virginia's first full-service permanent casino.

Angelos Bible College is a Bible college in Portsmouth, Virginia. The college was founded by Dr. Allen R. McFarland senior pastor, Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church. Angelos is a member of Association of Christian Schools International and American Association of Christian Colleges and Seminaries. Angelos is approved to receive educational benefits for veterans earning degrees at the college. The college graduated its first class in 2001.

Fort Nelson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter House is a historic Daughters of the American Revolution clubhouse located at Portsmouth, Virginia. It was built in 1935, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, Colonial Revival style frame building. The building appears much like a 20th-century adaptation of a wood-frame Tidewater House. It features a central entrance sheltered by a Classical overhang supported by scrolled brackets.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Manor High School is a public high school located in Portsmouth, Virginia that opened in 1972. The name "Manor" was chosen from two surrounding communities, Hodges Manor and Elizabeth Manor. In 1993, due to a declining student population, Portsmouth Public Schools consolidated three high schools into one building. Woodrow Wilson High School's building was converted into a combined middle school (Hunt-Mapp) and Cradock High School was closed. The Cradock name was applied to the former Alfred J. Mapp Middle School. The Manor campus was chosen for the high school, as the newest of the 3 buildings, but the name would be changed to reflect the school with the longer history, Woodrow Wilson High School. This name change remained in effect until July 2021. Manor High School is administered by Portsmouth City Public Schools. The school colors are red, black and white, and Mustangs are the school's mascot.

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is a historic, general medical and surgical hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia and affiliated with Bon Secours Health System (USA). Adjoining the hospital campus is Bon Secours Maryview Behavioral Medicine Center. Upon the closing of Portsmouth General Hospital, its former hospital services were gradually transferred to Maryview and Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View in Suffolk between 1996 and 1999.

The Circle was a historic restaurant building located at Portsmouth, Virginia designed by Dorothy Pebworth. It was built in 1947, and was a one-story, Moderne style building. It was a stuccoed concrete block structure with a prominent half-circle building mass marking the façade. The half-circle was surmounted by a neon-lit sign with the restaurant's name. The bar had a mural attributed to Al Hirschfeld of mid-20th century celebrities. The Circle was an original curb-service restaurant, which later served as a dine-in restaurant. The building was demolished on August 19, 2013.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006, and was removed from the National Register in 2017.

Truxtun Historic District is a national historic district located at Portsmouth, Virginia. It encompasses 241 contributing buildings in a primarily residential section of Portsmouth. It was developed between 1918 and 1920 as a planned community of Colonial Revival style single family residences. It was developed by the United States Housing Corporation as a result of the rapid influx of workers at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard during World War I. It was the first wartime government housing project constructed exclusively for African-American residents. In 1921 the Federal Government sold it off.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

It encompasses 759 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure in a primarily residential section of Portsmouth. It was developed starting in 1918, as a planned community of Colonial Revival and Bungalow style single family residences. It was developed by the United States Housing Corporation as a result of the rapid influx of workers at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard during World War I.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Port Norfolk Historic District is a national historic district located at Portsmouth, Virginia. It encompasses 621 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a primarily residential section of suburban Portsmouth. It was developed between about 1890 and 1910, and includes notable examples of Queen Anne, Bungalow / American Craftsman, and American Foursquare style single family residences.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
