All Saints Church is an Anglican church in the town of Winterton, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The church stands close to the center of the town within a Conservation Area, 6 miles (10 km) north of Scunthorpe, to the west of the A15 road. The church is a constituent of the Historic England Heritage at Risk Register and has a priority category of C, signifying slow decay.As of 2018, the church is an active place of worship and local social hub, serving a community of almost 5,000 people. In addition to twice weekly Anglican services, the church hosts a Roman Catholic service each Saturday.

Roxby cum Risby is a civil parish forming part of the district of North Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 479. The main settlement is Roxby. Smaller settlements include Dragonby (grid reference SE904140), High Risby (SE920147) and Low Risby (SE931148). Dragonby was a settlement of the Corieltauvi in the late Pre-Roman Iron Age.

Roxby is a village in North Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 4 miles (6 km) north from Scunthorpe and 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east from Winterton on the A1077. Roxby stands on a prominent part of the Lincoln Cliff and overlooks the Humber Estuary. Roxby has fewer than 500 inhabitants, and forms part of the civil parish of Roxby cum Risby (where population details are included), which also includes the hamlet of Dragonby.Roxby Grade I listed Anglican church is dedicated to St Mary. The church, of 12th century origin with 14th century additions, is of Decorated style, and was restored and partly rebuilt in 1875 by James Fowler.In 1719 a Roman mosaic was discovered near to the church. Several attempts to excavate the mosaic were made but it was not until 1972 when it was accurately excavated and recorded by the curator of Scunthorpe Museum. Later excavations by the Humberside Archaeology Unit concluded that the mosaic was part of an aisled structure with the mosaic forming the flooring for a suite of rooms at one end of the villa which may have been up to 22 yards (20 m) wide and 55 yards (50 m) long.Although no railway line runs directly to Roxby, a major landfill site is situated a few miles away in a disused ironstone quarry. This is served by the remnants of the North Lindsey Light Railway over which trainloads of household rubbish were transported in containers from various locations in the Greater Manchester area.

West Halton railway station was a station in West Halton, Lincolnshire. The station was built by the North Lindsey Light Railway on its line from Scunthorpe (Dawes Lane) railway station to Whitton in north Lincolnshire. The station was opened with the first section of the line (between Scunthorpe, where there was a junction with the Great Central Railway, and West Halton) on 3 September 1906; the line was extended from West Halton to Winteringham Haven on 15 July 1907. Following this extension, the passenger service along the line consisted of three trains each way between Scunthorpe (Dawes Lane) and Winteringham, which called at Winterton and Thealby and West Halton. The station closed on 13 July 1925.

Winterton and Thealby railway station was a station built by the North Lindsey Light Railway in Winterton, Lincolnshire, on their line from Scunthorpe to Winteringham. The station was opened on 3 September 1906 and closed to passengers in 1925. The line closed entirely in 1964.The first train on the line operated from Dawes Lane as far as this station.

Winteringham is a village in North Lincolnshire, England, on the south bank of the Humber Estuary.

Winteringham railway station was built by the North Lindsey Light Railway in Winteringham, Lincolnshire, England and opened for public service on 15 July 1907 although the first train, a village sports club special, had run two days previously.Just north of the station the line divided in two; the "main line" ran to Whitton, and a "branch line" to a wharf at Winteringham Haven on the Humber where the company had installed two shutes for handling coal and slag. A weekly ferry service operated from the Haven to Hull, outward on Monday and returning on Wednesday. The station closed to passengers on Monday 13 July 1925, though in all probability the last train ran on Saturday 11 July. It remained open for goods traffic until 1 October 1951, with local farmers objecting strongly to its closure, citing particularly the station's use for onward transportation of their sugar beet to the Brigg sugar factory.

West Halton is a village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 2.5 miles (4 km) north-west from Winterton, approximately 7 miles (11 km) north from Scunthorpe, and 2 miles (3 km) south from the Humber Estuary. The parish contains part of Coleby, a hamlet south of the village. In the 2001 Census the parish had a population of 331, increasing slightly to 340 at the 2011 census.The settlement at West Halton has existed since at least the Anglo Saxon period when it was traditionally thought to have been founded as a monastery or minster by St Æthelthryth. Excavations by the University of Sheffield confirmed the presence of a 7th-century settlement. West Halton is listed in the 1086 Domesday Book as "Haltone". The name has been translated as "farmstead in a nook or corner of land".West Halton has a central village green. There is a public house, the Butchers Arms, and a village hall which has served as a part-time post office since the village post office closed. There are no shops in the village. The church is dedicated to St Etheldreda; it was built in 1695 as a replacement for an earlier building destroyed by fire in 1692.A public transport bus service is provided by Hornsby Travel, subsidised by North Lincolnshire Council. The now closed West Halton railway station was situated near the village. It was built in 1906 by the North Lindsey Light Railway.
