Branch River (Wisconsin)

Branch is an unincorporated community located in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States. Branch is located on U.S. Route 10, east of Whitelaw. Branch was named for the nearby Branch River, which flows into the Manitowoc River.

Whitelaw is a village in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 737 at the 2020 census.

Reifs Mills is an unincorporated community located in the towns of Franklin and Kossuth, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States. The community was named after the Reif brothers, proprietors of a local mill.

Holy Family College was a private Catholic liberal arts college in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Founded as an academy in 1885 by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, the college achieved four-year college status in 1935 and was then called Holy Family College. In 1972 the college became separately incorporated from the Franciscan order, and was renamed Silver Lake College. The college announced it is closing in 2020, with the final classes in August 2020. The college was connected through the same Franciscan order to Manitowoc's major hospital, Holy Family Memorial.

Manitowoc Lutheran High School (MLHS) is a WELS Lutheran high school located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The school is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The high school was founded in 1956, and has been located in its present campus since 1967. The school typically has about 200 enrolled students. The school's mascot is the Lancer and its colors are red and grey. MLHS is a member of The Big East of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA).

Rockwood is an unincorporated community located in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States. Rockwood is located on County Highway R approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) north-northwest of downtown Manitowoc. U.S. Route 141 passed through the community before it was decommissioned in 1981 after being replaced by Interstate 43 as the major route between Green Bay and Milwaukee. US 141 was renamed as County R.

The Green Bay Road Bridge is a Pratt pony truss bridge across the Manitowoc River in Manitowoc Rapids. The 150-foot (46 m) bridge was built in 1887 by the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company and was the second river crossing built at its location. Originally a road bridge, the bridge is now used for a bicycle and walking trail; it is in good condition and is considered a historically significant example of a pony truss road bridge. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 3, 1998.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2021–2025 categorized it as a local general aviation facility.The first airline flights were North Central DC-3s in 1953–1954; successor Republic pulled out in 1981–1983.
