Mansfield Road Baptist Church

Carrington railway station was a railway station in Nottingham on the Great Central Railway main line, the last main line to be built from the north of England to London. The station opened with the line on 15 March 1899, and served the Nottingham suburb of Carrington until 1928.

Redcliffe Road Methodist Church was a Methodist church on Redcliffe Road, Nottingham from 1884 until 1969.

The Norris Almshouses were erected in 1893 on Berridge Road in Sherwood Rise, Nottinghamshire. They comprise a row of eight one-bedroom houses for Ladies, designed by the architect Fothergill Watson and paid for by Mary Smith Norris (1827-1909) in 1893 in memory of her brother John Norris. The charity objectives were to provide a residence available for poor widows or spinsters or married couples of not less than 60 years of age resident in the City of Nottingham or within a distance of 6 miles therefrom. Preferences shall be given to persons so qualified who are members of the Church of England or some orthodox Protestant dissenting denomination. A restoration in 1991 included the manufacture of hand-cut bricks, a terracota dragon for the roof ridge and a specially commissioned weather cock and sundial. The almshouses are now managed by Nottingham Community Housing Association and the Norris Homes Charity (236206) which formerly managed the properties was wound up in 2008.

Church Cemetery, also known as Rock Cemetery, is a place of burial in Nottingham, England which is Grade II* listed. It is situated at the south-east corner of Forest Recreation Ground.

The Juggernaut of Nought is a steel and cast iron sculpture by Richard Trupp. The sculpture was originally exhibited in 2011 in the grounds of Great Fosters Hotel. Of this installation Trupp said "I intended the site-specific sculpture to look like a sculptural exclamation mark in the rural environment. It asks questions of its own existence. Where did it come from? What is it doing here? Is it safe?"The work was displayed in the University of Leicester's eleventh "Annual Sculpture in the Garden" exhibition in the Harold Martin Botanic Garden. It was exhibited at Burghley House's Sculpture Garden in 2015, and as of 2016 it is installed outside Nottingham Trent University's Arkwright Building in Shakespeare Street. The piece was installed in 2012 for the exhibition Since 1843: In the Making, celebrating 170 years of the university's School of Art and Design of the university. Trupp said "It creates an interruption of the surrounding environment and creates a moment of pause, a moment to ponder."It was designed as a tribute to Trupp's mentor Anthony Caro, based on a small steel wedge Trupp found in the workshop of Caro and pocketed. Trupp says of the title that: "The word juggernaut implies a fast-moving piece of steel and the nought signifies a beginning". The Nottingham Post described it as a "wedge of black cheese".

The Nottingham Goose Fair is an annual travelling funfair held at the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham, England, during the first week of October. Largely provided by travelling showmen, it is one of three established fairs in the United Kingdom to carry the name, the others being the smaller Goosey Fair in Tavistock, Devon, and the even smaller Michaelmas Goose Fayre in Colyford, East Devon. In recent years, there have been more than 400,000 visitors to Nottingham's fair annually.Now known for its fairground rides and attractions, Goose Fair started as a livestock and trade event, with a reputation for its excellent cheese. The name "Goose Fair" is derived from the thousands of geese that were driven from the Lincolnshire fens in the East of England to be sold in Nottingham at the fair each year.In 1284, a royal charter was granted by King Edward I that referred to city fairs in Nottingham, although it is thought that a fair was already established in the city before then. Goose Fair was originally held for eight days starting on 21 September, but was moved to early October in 1752, when the Gregorian calendar was first adopted in Britain. For centuries, the fair was held in Nottingham's Old Market Square in the city centre, until it was moved to the Forest Recreation Ground in 1928, due to space limitations and planned redevelopment of the market square.Goose Fair was cancelled in 1646 after an outbreak of the bubonic plague, and again during the two World Wars of the 20th century. The fair was not held in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and was cancelled in 2021 for the second year running, after plans for an entrance fee and perimeter fencing were rejected by the organisers. For 2022, as of March, negotiations were underway to extend the fair's normal five-day duration to ten days.

The Forest Recreation Ground is an open space and recreation ground in Nottingham, England, approximately one mile north of the city centre. This urban space is bounded by the neighbourhoods of Forest Fields to the north, Mapperley Park to the east, Arboretum to the south and Hyson Green to the west. It is best known as the site of the city's famous annual Goose Fair.

Addison Street Congregational Church was a church in Nottingham. Built in 1884, it closed in 1966 when its congregation merged with the Sherwood Congressional Church, and the building later became a warehouse, before being demolished.

The Forest New Ground at Nottingham was a first-class cricket venue used by Nottingham Cricket Club in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.Forest New Ground incorporated the old Forest Racecourse and in some sources the cricket venue is referred to as Forest Racecourse or else as "Forest Ground". First recorded in 1771 for the Nottingham v Sheffield match, the Forest ground was used for cricket until 1979, although it was superseded for first-class matches by Trent Bridge from 1840. It is owned by Nottingham City Council and is used for Football and the annual Goose Fair.

Nottingham Girls' High School is an independent selective day school for girls aged 4–18, situated just north of Nottingham city centre. The school was founded in 1875 and forms part of the Girls' Day School Trust.
