Gardens by the Bay

Marina City Park was a park in Singapore formerly located at Marina South, with entrances at Marina Boulevard and Marina Park. It is about 26.2 ha. Standing on reclaimed land, this park was planned to be a premier park of Singapore's proposed "city of the 21st century", as part of Singapore's vision to be a "City in a Garden". The park was closed on 1 June 2007 to make way for the Gardens by the Bay.

Operation Jaywick was a special operation undertaken in World War II. In September 1943, 14 commandos and sailors from the Allied Z Special Unit raided Japanese shipping in Singapore Harbour, sinking six ships.

The Marina Reservoir is a reservoir in Singapore formed in 2008 by building a dam across the mouth of the Marina Channel. With the completion of the Marina Barrage on 30 October 2008, the reservoir, which contained mainly salt water, became freshwater and started operations at 7 pm on 20 November 2010 after a process of natural desalination, when excess water was released out to the sea after heavy rains. The reservoir will provide 10% of the island's water needs. The catchment area that feeds the reservoir is about one-sixth the land size of Singapore, making it the largest of all the Singaporean reservoirs. Two of the island's most notable rivers - the Singapore River and Kallang River are part of the reservoir. The Geylang River and the Rochor River, both tributaries of the Kallang River form part of this reservoir as well. The reservoir was a competition venue for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games, where the canoeing and rowing events were carried out.

Operation Rimau was an attack on Japanese shipping in Singapore Harbour, carried out by an Allied commando unit Z Special Unit, during World War II using Australian built Hoehn military MKIII folboats. It was a follow-up to the successful Operation Jaywick which had taken place in September 1943, and was again led by Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Lyon of the Gordon Highlanders, an infantry regiment of the British Army. Originally part of a much larger operation called Operation Hornbill, the aim of Rimau was to sink Japanese shipping by paddling the folboats in the dark and placing limpet mines on ships. It was originally intended that motorised semi-submersible canoes, known as "Sleeping Beauties", would be used to gain access to the harbour, however, they resorted to folboats. After the raiding party's discovery by local Malay authorities, a total of thirteen men (including raid commander Lyon) were killed during battles with the Japanese military at a number of island locations or were captured and died of their wounds in Japanese captivity. A group of ten commandos were transported to Outram Road Jail in Singapore after capture by the Japanese, were tried with perfidy and espionage in a Japanese court and executed on 7 July 1945.

Opened in January 2011 at Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore, db Bistro & Oyster Bar was founded by Daniel Boulud as a spinoff of his db Bistro Moderne in New York City. It specialized in fresh seafood more than the original location due to its coastal real estate and was a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The restaurant featured a bar area where guests could try a variety of cocktails and other drinks. The bar also featured live music on certain nights.

Marina Channel is a waterway in southern Singapore that connects the Kallang Basin in the north and Marina Bay in the west to the Singapore Straits in the south. Formed as a result of land reclamation in the 1980s, the Marina Channel effectively shifted Singapore's southern coastline further southwards from the Kallang Basin area. Marina Channel serves to separate Marina East and Kallang in the east from Marina South in the west. Both sides are connected by Singapore's tallest bridge, the Benjamin Sheares Bridge. The Marina Barrage that opened on 1 November 2008 dams up the Marina Channel as well as various other rivers and canals to form the Marina Reservoir, Singapore's first and only reservoir in the downtown.

The Singapore Flyer is an observation wheel at the Downtown Core district of Singapore. Officially opened on 15 April 2008, it has 28 air-conditioned capsules, each able to accommodate 28 passengers, and incorporates a three-story terminal building. The flyer has made numerous appearances in media and popular culture that features Singapore. The Flyer has an overall height of 165 metres (541 ft) and was the world's tallest Ferris wheel until the 167.6 m (550 ft) High Roller, which is 2.6 m (9 ft) taller than the Flyer.

The Helix Bridge, officially The Helix, and previously known as the Double Helix Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge linking Marina Centre with Marina South in the Marina Bay area in Singapore. It was officially opened on 24 April 2010 at 9 pm; however, only half was opened due to ongoing construction at the Marina Bay Sands. It is located beside the Benjamin Sheares Bridge and is accompanied by a vehicular bridge, known as the Bayfront Bridge. The entire bridge was opened on 18 July 2010 to complete the entire walkway around Marina Bay.

Singapore Comic Con is a comic book convention and multi-genre entertainment event held annually in Singapore since 2008. Prior independent conventions were held in 1986 and 1987. The current series was first mooted in 2008 as Singapore Toy & Comic Convention, and quickly expanded into Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention. It was brought online during COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Since 2019, the convention has been rebranded as Singapore Comic Con.

ArtScience Museum is a museum within the integrated resort of Marina Bay Sands in the Downtown Core of the Central Area in Singapore. Opened on 17 February 2011 by Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, it is the world's first ArtScience museum, featuring major exhibitions that blend art, science, culture and technology.Although a permanent exhibition at the ArtScience Gallery has been planned, the Museum mainly hosts touring exhibitions curated by other museums.

Bayfront MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the Downtown line (DTL) and Circle line (CCL) in Downtown Core, Singapore. Located under Bayfront Avenue, it is near Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. First announced in 2005 as part of the Downtown Extension, the station opened as part of the CCL's extension to Marina Bay in January 2012, while the DTL platforms commenced operations in December 2013.

Youth Olympic Park is Singapore's first art park. It is located at Raffles Avenue, at the junction of Raffles Avenue and Bayfront Bridge.
