Mud Island, Memphis

Mud Island Amphitheater is a 5,000-seat concrete outdoor amphitheater located on Mud Island, a peninsula in Memphis, Tennessee. The structure has been used for concerts and shows since it was built in 1982. A few artists that have performed at Mud Island Amphitheater include Bob Dylan, Journey, Eric Clapton, Heart and Peter Frampton.

The University of Memphis, School of Law building (also commonly known as the Customs House, Post Office, or Courthouse reflecting its prior uses) is a 5-story former federal building, located in downtown Memphis. As of 2010, the building is owned entirely by the University of Memphis and houses its law school. It is located at the corner of Front Street and Madison Avenue. It has 169,000 square feet (15,700 m2) of usable space that has been re-purposed as classrooms, offices, and administrative space. One of the original courtrooms from the building's former use as a courthouse has been restored as the University of Memphis moot courtroom. The building is made of steel and concrete, and employs many decorative elements including Tennessee marble, granite, and detailed plaster work.

The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law is an American Bar Association accredited law school and is the only law school in Memphis, Tennessee. The school has been associated with the University of Memphis since the law school's formation in 1962. The school was named in honor of former University president Cecil C. Humphreys. It is also referred to as U of M Law, Memphis Law, or Memphis Law School. According to Memphis Law's 2017 ABA-required disclosures, 69.69% of the Class of 2017 obtained full-time, long-term, bar passage-required employment after graduation, excluding solo practitioners.

It was replaced by the Exchange Building in 1910, which housed it until a newer Cotton Exchange Building was completed in 1925.

The Memphis Suspension Railway, Mud Island Monorail, or Memphis Monorail is a suspended monorail that connects the city center of Memphis with the entertainment park on Mud Island. Celebrating its grand opening on July 3, 1982, it was located beneath a footbridge over the Wolf River Lagoon connecting to the southern tip of Mud Island. In 2018, multiple malfunctions occurred during passenger service, one of which required the fire department to attend to stranded passengers, and finally the motor failed.

The building is located at the corner of North Front Street and Jefferson Avenue and South Main Street. It is 403.0 feet (122.8 m) tall, including a 61.0 feet (18.6 m) spire, and has 334,668 square feet (31,091.7 m2) of office space.It is currently owned by Orlando, Florida based Parkway Properties, which has owned the building since 1997. The company once owned six other buildings in Memphis, but has since sold them off. As of July 2008, the building was 100% occupied.
