Contemporary Art Museum of Raleigh (CAM Raleigh) is a multimedia contemporary art gallery in Raleigh, North Carolina. CAM Raleigh has no permanent collection but offers exhibitions of works by artists with regional, national, and international recognition. The museum characterizes itself by the statements "We seek the most contemporary art and design. We work to curate it in a way that's always fresh. We create an ever-changing experience that is always in progress." CAM is a collaboration of the College of Design at North Carolina State University and a private 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1983 as the City Museum of Contemporary Art. Since 2011, CAM Raleigh has been housed in a 1910 warehouse in downtown Raleigh providing 20,000 square feet of space. The facility was re-purposed by Brooks + Scarpa.Exhibitions have included works by Angel Otero, Marilyn Minter, Heather Gordon, Leonardo Drew, Sarah Cain, Dorian Lynde and Jonathan Horowitz.

The Federal Building, also known as the Century Post Office, is a historic building located on Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, United States. It was the first Federal Government project in the South following the Civil War. Construction of the building began in 1874 and was completed in 1878. The building's Second Empire design was by Alfred B. Mullett whose more famous works included the Old Executive Office Building located near the White House. The Federal Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and is a Raleigh Historic Landmark. After completion of the building, local offices of federal agencies, such as the post office, were located on the first floor. The United States District Court was located on the second floor and at the time was considered the best fitted courtroom in North Carolina. In 1913, the building was doubled in size to accommodate the effects of city growth. The building was renovated and its original materials and most of its detailing were replicated. In 1939, the building was expanded with the same exterior design being applied to the new addition. Federal Government agencies grew rapidly after World War II. Due to this growth, the majority of the offices located in the Federal Building were moved to rented facilities located throughout Raleigh. A new Federal Building was constructed downtown to consolidate the agencies in 1970. The facility also became the new home of the court and post office's administrative facility. In 1978, the original Federal Building was renovated and renamed Century Station to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its opening. Currently, it serves as a post office for downtown Raleigh and as the United States Bankruptcy Court.

The Raleigh Fire Department (RFD) provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the city of Raleigh, North Carolina. The department, which was formed in December 1912, serves over 460,000 people spanning an area of 145 square miles (380 km2).

The Depot Historic District is an industrial and commercial neighborhood in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina that was the city's railroad and warehouse distribution hub from the 1850s to 1950s. Located two blocks west of Fayetteville Street and to the north and east of the Norfolk and Southern railroad tracks, the district contains four blocks of 35 brick buildings that date from the 1880s to early 1950s. The district encompasses the southwestern portion of Raleigh's original 1792 town plan and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.Nash Square, one of four parks in the city's original plan, is located on the northern edge of the Depot District. The square's Beaux-Arts walkways and gates offer a stark contrast to the surrounding industrialism. Raleigh's former Union Depot sits across from Nash Square. Eight railroad tracks are located in the southwest corner of the district. The Amtrak station and the Freight Depot sit on opposite sides of the tracks. Warehouse, factories, commercial buildings, and parking lots are located between Nash Square and the railroad tracks. The district boundaries include West Hargett, South McDowell, South Dawson, and West Cabarrus Streets.

Raleigh Union Station is an intermodal transit station in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Train service began the morning of July 10, 2018. Its main building serves as an Amtrak train station, while a future adjacent building will serve as the bus terminus for GoTriangle. The station is located at the Boylan Wye, a railroad junction used by CSX and Norfolk Southern, and adjacent to the Depot Historic District in downtown Raleigh. As of fiscal year 2018, it is the second busiest station in North Carolina, behind Charlotte, and one of the busiest in the Southeast.

A statue of Josephus Daniels, the former publisher of the Raleigh News and Observer, was installed in 1985 at the east-facing edge of Raleigh, North Carolina's Nash Square, in the United States.

The Dodd-Hinsdale House was built in 1879 for the family of the Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, city mayor. It was constructed in the Italianate style, with some Second Empire embellishments.

The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law (also known as Campbell Law School or Campbell University School of Law) is a private law school in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Founded in 1976, the law school is one of six graduate programs offered by Campbell University. The school is named after its founder, Norman Adrian Wiggins, former President and Chancellor of Campbell University, and creator of the institution's law division. Originally housed on the main campus of Campbell University in Buies Creek, the school moved to a newly constructed facility in downtown Raleigh in September, 2009.

The Red Hat Amphitheater (formerly the Raleigh Amphitheater) is an amphitheatre in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is adjacent to the Raleigh Convention Center. The Raleigh Amphitheater books acts through an agreement with Live Nation, and is owned and operated by the City of Raleigh. The Amphitheater’s season currently runs from April through October. Capacity is 5,990: 1,800 fixed seats; 2,700 movable seats; and lawn space for 1,000.The venue's name has changed several times during its construction and first few months of operation. Plans to accept $300,000 from the local Budweiser distributor to name the venue the Bud Light Amphitheater fell through when the North Carolina Alcohol Control Board refused to grant an exception to rules which disallow naming rights for public facilities to be sold to alcohol manufacturers. On September 4, 2012 Red Hat struck a deal with the City of Raleigh for naming rights to the amphitheater. The company paid the city $1.175 million for the deal.

The Professional Building is a historic office building located at Raleigh, North Carolina. It was designed by Yancey Milburn of the architectural firm Milburn, Heister & Company and built in 1925. It is an eight-story, steel frame and yellow brick veneer Classical Revival style skyscraper with Beaux Arts style terra cotta ornamental elements. It consists of a two-story "base", five-story "shaft" and one-story "capital" in the Chicago style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The St. Paul A.M.E. Church is a historic American Gothic Revival style African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Raleigh, North Carolina. A red brick and frame structure built in 1884 by black masons, St. Paul's was the first independent congregation of African Americans in Raleigh and is the oldest African-American church in Wake County, North Carolina. Before the end of the Civil War, the future founders of St. Paul's had been slave members of the Edenton Street United Methodist Church. The members of the church began calling their congregation "St. Paul's" in 1848. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in November 1987 and is also a Raleigh Historic Landmark.

The Capital Club Building is a historic office building located at 16 W. Martin St. in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect Frank B. Simpson and built in 1929 in the Art Deco style. It is a 12-story, steel-frame skyscraper in the classic base-shaft-capital form. It was built for the Capital Club, which was one of the oldest and most prominent organizations for men in the South.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
