Boise High School

Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Lutheran church located in Boise, Idaho. The church was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 17, 1976. It was included as a contributing property in the Fort Street Historic District on November 12, 1982.The church was organized on January 22, 1906, as the Swedish Lutheran Church of the Augustana Synod. It was associated with the Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church, a Lutheran church body founded by Swedish immigrants. The current church building was built in 1908 and was dedicated on September 22, 1915. Because the founders were Scandinavian, the church services were first held in the Swedish language. October 1, 1918, the church decided to change to the English language for church sermons, in an effort to appeal to Lutherans of other ethnic backgrounds. The last remaining tie to the founders' Swedish heritage was severed in 1919, when the church changed its name to Boise Evangelical Lutheran Church. In the 1950s the church was renamed again as Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Immanuel Lutheran Church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The Brunzell House in Boise, Idaho, is a one-and-a-half-story, brick and wood Bungalow designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1908. The house features Colonial Revival decorations, including deeply flared eaves. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It also is a contributing resource in the Fort Street Historic District.

The J.M. Johnson House in Boise, Idaho, is a 1+1⁄2-story Queen Anne house designed by John E. Tourtellotte and constructed in 1898. The house includes a sandstone foundation and features a Tuscan column porch with a prominent, corner entry at 10th and Franklin Streets. A side gable with a shingled dimple window above a prominent beveled window bay are central to the Franklin Street exposure. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.J.M. Johnson was a wool buyer from Mountain Home. He moved to Boise in 1898, the year of construction of the J.M. Johnson House. Among his business activities, Johnson traded in real estate and engaged in ranching. In 1919 he sold the J.M. Johnson House after purchasing a 7000-acre cattle ranch in Alturas.

The Hill City Christian Church (previously Capital City Christian Church) in Boise, Idaho is a historic church at 9th and Franklin Streets. The Romanesque-style church was built in 1910-1911 and individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. In 1982 it was included as a contributing property in the Fort Street Historic District.It was deemed "architecturally significant as a good example of the brick Romanesque style applied to an ecclesiastical building. Following the Joplin plan, a standard Christian church design of the period, it is similar to other Christian churches throughout the nation, including the one in Eugene, Oregon. Its hexagonal dome, offset by the two large gables, is rare in Idaho and makes the building a landmark. The stained glass windows are of high quality and exhibit good craftsmanship, as does the interior woodwork. The Balcom and Vaughan theater organ, manufactured in Seattle, is one of the two extant vacuum operated theater organs in Boise (the other is in the Ada Theater)."Stonework was by mason Charles Storey, who also worked on Boise's St. John's cathedral and the State Capitol.

The R.K. Davis House in Boise, Idaho, is a 2-story Queen Anne style house designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1906. The house features Classical Revival elements, including a pedimented portico with Tuscan columns. Architectural drawings for the house indicated a Bungalow design, but the plan changed during construction to a more formal design that incorporates Queen Anne, Classical Revival, and Colonial Revival details, possibly to blend the house with older homes on the street. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Robert K. and Christine (Orchard) Davis occupied the house from its construction until some time prior to the death of Robert Davis in 1958. Davis and his brother, Samuel T. Davis, were pioneers in Idaho, having moved as children from Oregon to Idaho City with their father, Ben T. Davis, in 1864. Ben Davis was a nephew of Confederate president Jefferson Davis. The Davis brothers moved to Boise in 1901 and purchased an interest in the Idaho Hardware Co., later the Davis Supply Co.

The William Sidenfaden House is a Bungalow designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed in Boise, Idaho, USA, in 1912. The house is part of Boise's Fort Street Historic District, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places November 17, 1982.William Sidenfaden moved to Boise in 1906 and began a partnership with undertaker Adolph Schreiber. Schreiber, formerly of the mortuary firm Schreiber & Brennan, was reelected coroner of Ada County, Idaho, in that year and continued as Sidenfaden's partner in the new firm, Schreiber & Sidenfaden, Funeral Directors and Licensed Embalmers.

The Fort Street Historic District in Boise, Idaho, contains roughly 47 blocks located within the 1867 plat of Boise City. The irregular shape of the district is roughly bounded on the north by West Fort Street and on the south by West State Street. The west boundary is North 16th Street, and the east boundary is roughly North 5th Street. When the nomination form was prepared in 1982 for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), the district contained 318 buildings. The inventory consisted mostly of houses, but schools, churches, and commercial structures were included. Many structures were designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel, and some were designed by Wayland & Fennell. The district contains many sites with individual NRHP listing, and the Boise High School Campus and the St. John's Cathedral Block both are separately listed and contain multiple structures within the larger Fort Street Historic District. The district is itself contained within a larger area known locally as Boise's North End Preservation District, although the North End includes other NRHP listed historic districts.

The M.J. Marks House in Boise, Idaho, is a 2+1⁄2-story Colonial Revival house with "bungaloid features" designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed in 1911. The house includes random course sandstone veneer on first-story walls with flared second-story walls veneered with square shingles under a low pitch hip roof. Room sized porches are a prominent feature of the design.

The Eichelberger Apartments in Boise, Idaho, is a 2-story, Colonial Revival building designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed in 1910. The U-shape, brick and stucco design features corner quoins and keystoned windows with a roofline parapet covered between crested pilasters. It was included as a contributing property in the Fort Street Historic District on November 12, 1982. The building was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 17, 1982.

The H.R. Neitzel House in Boise, Idaho, is a 2+1⁄2-story Tudor Revival house designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed of sandstone by contractor Frank Michel in 1918. The house features a hip roof with half-timber gables.Herman R. Neitzel was an investor in Boise, and he owned the Bannock Motor Sales Company, an automobile dealership and successor to the Central Auto Company, purveyors of Maxwell cars and Garford trucks. He lived at the H.R. Neitzel House from its construction until his death in 1963.

The John Haines House is a 2+1⁄2-story Queen Anne style house in the Fort Street Historic District of Boise, Idaho. Designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1904, the house features a veneer of rectangular cut stone applied to the first story and shingled, flared walls at the second story. Turrets accent the front two corners of the house, and a classical porch with doric columns and a flattened pediment separates the offset main entrance from the street. It was included as a contributing property in the Fort Street Historic District on November 12, 1982. The house was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 17, 1982.John M. Haines was a real estate developer and Republican who served as mayor of Boise City 1907-1909 and as Governor of Idaho 1913–1915.

The Alva Fleharty House in Boise, Idaho, is a 1+1⁄2-story Queen Ann house designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed by H.A. Palmer and Harrison Bryan in 1902. The house reveals a shingle style influence in its gables and front, 2-story beveled bay. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
