Collins Mansion

Chester County Hospital is a private, non-profit, 329-bed teaching hospital located primarily in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1892, the hospital joined University of Pennsylvania Health System in 2013. The hospital's main campus is located in both West Chester & West Goshen Township, with satellite locations located in West Goshen, Jennersville, Exton, New Garden, & Kennett Square. The hospital is affiliated with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

B. Reed Henderson High School is located partially in the borough of West Chester and partially in West Goshen Township in Pennsylvania. B. Reed Henderson is one of the three high schools (Henderson, East, and Rustin) in the West Chester Area School District. It serves portions of the following municipalities: West Chester borough, West Goshen Township, East Bradford Township, and West Whiteland Township. West Chester Henderson serves about half of the Exton census-designated place, entirely in West Whiteland Township.

Barclay House, also known as the Joshua Hartshorne Estate, North Hill, and The Barclay, is a historic home located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The original section was built in 1866–67, and believed to have been designed by architect Addison Hutton (1834–1916). It was a 2+1⁄2-story, brick dwelling in the Italianate style. It was expanded to three stories with the expansion of 1935–36. Also added at that time was a three-story connecting block, three-story west block, and one-story north block. The house was also renovated in the Colonial Revival style. The north block was expanded to two stories in 1998. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house built in 1869. It was converted to a residence in 1925. It was built as a single family residence, but converted to a Quaker boarding home for the elderly in 1935–1936. The boarding home closed at this location in 1997.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Sharples Separator Works, also known as the Gumas Warehouse and Kauffman Warehouse, is an historic, American factory complex that is located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The West Chester Boarding School for Boys, also known as Square House, is an historic, American boarding school and national historic district located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Joseph Rothrock House is a historic home located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1858–59, and consists if a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay main section with a 2+1⁄2-story gabled ell in the Gothic style. Later additions have been made to the ell. It is constructed of brick and features a full-width front verandah.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

US Post Office-West Chester, also called the Robert J. Thompson Post Office Building, is a historic post office located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was designed by architect James Knox Taylor for the Office of the Supervising Architect, and built in 1907 in the neoclassical style. It was constructed with Cockeysville Marble taken from a quarry near Avondale, Pennsylvania. Thirty years later, the post office was expanded with an addition to the rear of the building, increasing its size to 20,000 square feet.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the West Chester Downtown Historic District in 1985.In 2006, Congress passed Public Law 109-336, naming the building after Robert J. Thompson, a former Pennsylvania State Senator.In 2013, the West Chester post office was one of the buildings being considered for sale by the United States Postal Service, though as of 2023 it is still a functioning post office.

The West Chester station, formerly the Market Street Station, is an American train station that is located on Market Street in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It currently serves as a stop on the West Chester Railroad heritage railroad. The location was previously used as a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's (PRR) West Chester Branch, and later became a part of SEPTA's R3 West Chester Line. SEPTA discontinued regular passenger service here in September 1986, due to deteriorating track conditions, Chester County's desire to expand facilities at Exton station on SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line, and the existence of faster and more frequent bus service on SEPTA Route 104 along West Chester Pike to 69th Street Terminal. Heritage service was restored in 1997 by the West Chester Railroad, a privately owned and operated tourist railroad that operates between Glen Mills and West Chester.

Bank of Chester County (also known as the National Bank of Chester County, National Bank of Chester County and Trust Company, and Fidelity Bank) is a historic two-story bank building located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, the first bank to be chartered in the county. Following the failure to renew the charter of the Bank of the United States in 1811, states received responsibility over the banking systems within their jurisdiction. Although an initial proposal was rejected by the state legislature in 1813, a 41-bank proposal was passed the following year. An early bank building was utilized in West Chester beginning in 1814 at the Record Office, though the bank was relocated in 1818 to a building across the street, present-day 13 High Street. Following a proposal for a new site in 1835, a bank, to be built at 17 High Street, designed by architect Thomas Ustick Walter (1804–1887). It was built in 1836 in the Greek Revival style at the cost of $33,000, and features a portico with four Doric order columns; the bank was subsequently altered in 1874, 1905, and 1928. The previous building has since been rented to numerous individuals, although it still houses outdated equipment no longer used by the bank. The current building is occupied by Wells Fargo. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District.

The Warner Theater, also known as The High Street Theater, was an historic, American movie theater that was located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.The auditorium was demolished in late 1986; the remainder of the building was renovated and converted into the Hotel Warner. Hotel Warner today is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The Chester County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building located in the county seat of West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1846 at a cost of $55,346 and was designed by Thomas U. Walter. Walter also designed the dome of the United States Capitol. An addition, designed by T. Roney Williamson and constructed from Indiana Limestone, was added in 1893. Another addition was added in 1966. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 5, 1972, and located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in July 1958.
