The West Chester Downtown Historic District is a national historic district that is located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Chester County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building located in the county seat of West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1846 at a cost of $55,346 and was designed by Thomas U. Walter. Walter also designed the dome of the United States Capitol. An addition, designed by T. Roney Williamson and constructed from Indiana Limestone, was added in 1893. Another addition was added in 1966. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 5, 1972, and located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in July 1958.

The William Everhart Buildings, also known as the Everhart-Lincoln Building, is an historic, American commercial building complex that is located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The William Everhart House was listed in 1984.

Bank of Chester County (also known as the National Bank of Chester County, National Bank of Chester County and Trust Company, and Fidelity Bank) is a historic two-story bank building located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, the first bank to be chartered in the county. Following the failure to renew the charter of the Bank of the United States in 1811, states received responsibility over the banking systems within their jurisdiction. Although an initial proposal was rejected by the state legislature in 1813, a 41-bank proposal was passed the following year. An early bank building was utilized in West Chester beginning in 1814 at the Record Office, though the bank was relocated in 1818 to a building across the street, present-day 13 High Street. Following a proposal for a new site in 1835, a bank, to be built at 17 High Street, designed by architect Thomas Ustick Walter (1804–1887). It was built in 1836 in the Greek Revival style at the cost of $33,000, and features a portico with four Doric order columns; the bank was subsequently altered in 1874, 1905, and 1928. The previous building has since been rented to numerous individuals, although it still houses outdated equipment no longer used by the bank. The current building is occupied by Wells Fargo. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District.

The Farmers and Mechanics Building is a historic "skyscraper" located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was completed in 1908 and is a six-story skyscraper building, with a basement and penthouse in the Classical Revival style. The top floor once featured a Roof Garden. The exterior is faced in Indiana limestone and yellow hard face brick, with terra cotta decorative details. In 1918 when the Boy Scouts were founded in Chester County the Farmers and Mechanics Building became their headquarters. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District.

West Chester is a borough and the county seat of Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. Located within the Philadelphia metropolitan area, the borough had a population of 18,461 at the 2010 census. West Chester is the mailing address for most of its neighboring townships. When calculated by mailing address, the population as of the 2010 U.S. Census was 108,696, which would make it the 10th largest city by mailing address in the state of Pennsylvania.Much of the West Chester University of Pennsylvania North Campus and the Chester County government are located within the borough. The center of town is located at the intersection of Market and High Streets.

It was built in 1893, and is a 3+1⁄2-story, three-bay, brick building in an eclectic Romantic Medieval / Late Gothic Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District.

The West Chester Transportation Center is a bus terminal and parking garage in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The $1,250,000 transportation center, upon which construction began in October 2004, was opened in December 2005. It is located on Market Street across from the Chester County Justice Center. SEPTA bus routes 92 and 104 started to run from the Transportation Center beginning February 13, 2006. Bus route 92 connects West Chester with the King of Prussia Transit Center at the King of Prussia shopping mall via Malvern Borough and the Paoli Train Station. Bus route 104 connects West Chester University with Upper Darby's 69th Street Transportation Center. On August 1, 2021, SEPTA began bus route 135 from West Chester to Exton, Downingtown, and Coatesville, replacing Krapf's Transit's "A" bus. In addition to the SEPTA operated services, SCCOOT (operated by Krapf's Transit for the Transportation Management Association of Chester County), which provides service between West Chester and Southern Chester County, also uses the Center. The garage has 157 parking spaces available for use, the majority of which are reserved during normal business hours for county employees.

US Post Office-West Chester, also called the Robert J. Thompson Post Office Building, is a historic post office located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was designed by architect James Knox Taylor for the Office of the Supervising Architect, and built in 1907 in the neoclassical style. It was constructed with Cockeysville Marble taken from a quarry near Avondale, Pennsylvania. Thirty years later, the post office was expanded with an addition to the rear of the building, increasing its size to 20,000 square feet.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the West Chester Downtown Historic District in 1985.In 2006, Congress passed Public Law 109-336, naming the building after Robert J. Thompson, a former Pennsylvania State Senator.In 2013, the West Chester post office was one of the buildings being considered for sale by the United States Postal Service, though as of 2023 it is still a functioning post office.

First Presbyterian Church of West Chester is a historic Presbyterian church located at 130 W. Miner Street in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was designed in 1832 by Thomas U. Walter, who later became the fourth Architect of the Capitol. The church is a stuccoed stone building measuring 75 feet long and 45 feet wide in the Greek Revival style. Additions were built in 1860 and 1955. The front facade features a recessed porch flanked by two projections with pilasters.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Joseph Rothrock House is a historic home located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1858–59, and consists if a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay main section with a 2+1⁄2-story gabled ell in the Gothic style. Later additions have been made to the ell. It is constructed of brick and features a full-width front verandah.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The West Chester Boarding School for Boys, also known as Square House, is an historic, American boarding school and national historic district located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
