Illusion Magic Lounge is a 150-seat theater in Santa Monica, California, founded in 1998 founded by magician Steve Spill. The venue was known as Magicopolis from 1998 until 2022. Magicopolis was the permanent home of Steve Spill's magic production, "Escape Reality", until 2019 when he sold the venue. Magicians Penn & Teller cast their hands and feet in cement for the Magicopolis groundbreaking ceremony on March 25, 1998. Robert Holbrook, Mayor of the City of Santa Monica, on behalf of the City Council proclaimed March 25 to be "Magicopolis Day" in Santa Monica. Friday, September 18, 1998, marked the grand opening, and official ribbon cutters and special guest performers Penn & Teller took the stage and over the course of the evening performed some of their classic routines. To finish, Penn delivered a "heartfelt discourse on the value of seeing magic performed live and the importance of Magicopolis". In 2019, Randy Sinnott, Sr and Randy Sinnott, Jr purchased the theater from Steve Spill. The theater and lobby were renovated during the COVID-19 pandemic and the theater reopened as Illusion Magic Lounge in December 2022.

Cradle is a 2010 sculpture by Ball-Nogues Studio, installed in Santa Monica, California, United States. The artwork was commissioned by the City of Santa Monica, and assembled in Burbank. James Jones was the project's lead fabricator.

The El Miro Theater is a partially historic former movie theater on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California. Designed by Norman W. Alpaugh in the Art Deco style, it opened in 1934 as a single-screen, 900-seat movie palace. It operated under several different chains in the 20th century and briefly operated on a Spanish language program in the 1980s. All of the original theater except its facade was demolished and then rebuilt as a four-screen multiplex in 1989. AMC Theatres operated the venue until its closure in 2024.

The Santa Monica Public Library (SMPL) is the public library serving residents of Santa Monica, California and surrounding areas. SMPL is directed by a City Librarian, who reports to the Santa Monica City Manager's Office and is overseen by a Library Board consisting of five members appointed by the Santa Monica City Council.

Britannia Pub is a British-themed bar and restaurant in Santa Monica, California, United States. The pub has served British cuisine such as bangers and mash, fish and chips, sausage rolls, and shepherd's pie. Britannia is known for screening sports events, especially Philadelphia Eagles and Pennsylvania State University games. It has also hosted viewing parties for television shows and events related to the British royal family, including the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales and the coronation of Charles III and Queen Camilla. The bar has hosted various other events such as fundraisers, karaoke, lectures, and musical performances.

La Botte was a Michelin-starred, fine dining restaurant in Santa Monica, California. The restaurant closed in 2014.

Santa Monica Place is an outdoor shopping mall in Santa Monica, California. The mall is located at the south end of Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade shopping district, two blocks from the beach and Santa Monica Pier. The mall originally opened in 1980 as an indoor mall, and underwent a massive, three-year reconstruction process beginning in January 2008 and re-opened as an outdoor shopping mall on August 6, 2010. The mall spans three levels. The mall also features the traditional retailer Nordstrom. The mall's tenant mix is predominantly upscale, featuring Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, Elie Tahari, and AllSaints.

Downtown Santa Monica station is an at-grade light rail station in the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located near the intersection of 4th Street and Colorado Avenue in downtown Santa Monica, California. It is the E Line's western terminal station.

The Third Street Promenade is a pedestrian mall esplanade, shopping, dining and entertainment complex in the downtown area of Santa Monica, California which originally opened as the Santa Monica Mall on November 8, 1965. It is considered a premier shopping and dining district on the Westside and draws crowds from all over the Greater Los Angeles area. Due to easy access to Downtown Los Angeles via the Big Blue Bus rapid transit service, E Line's terminus station and the Pacific Coast Highway-Santa Monica Freeway Interstate, the neighborhood's north-south thoroughfares connecting to Muscle Beach, Venice Canal Historic District, Marina del Rey, Ballona Wetlands and Los Angeles International Airport, and its proximity to historic U.S. Route 66, Santa Monica Pier, Palisades Park, Tongva Park, Santa Monica State Beach and the Pacific Ocean coupled with Los Angeles's mild mediterranean climate, it is also a popular tourist destination.

Angels Attic was a museum of dollhouses, toys, and miniatures located in Santa Monica, California. The museum was established in 1984 by Jackie McMahan, a longtime collector, and Eleanor LaVove, a former fashion editor. McMahan and LaVove had begun a backyard dollhouse exhibition in 1974 to raise funds for a special education school attended by McMahan's granddaughter. The annual exhibitions later moved to the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and drew thousands of visitors. In 1981 they bought a rundown Queen Anne style house in downtown Santa Monica, which had been built in 1895, moved to its present location in 1924, later subdivided into apartments, and allowed to deteriorate. They spent almost a year restoring the house, and opened the museum in 1984.The museum closed permanently in April 2017.

On the afternoon of July 16, 2003, George Weller, then age 86, drove his 1992 Buick LeSabre westbound down Arizona Avenue in Santa Monica, California, toward the city's popular Third Street Promenade. The last few blocks of the street, before it ends at the bluffs overlooking Pacific Coast Highway, had been closed to vehicle traffic for the biweekly farmers' market. Weller's car struck a 2003 Mercedes-Benz S430 sedan that had stopped to allow pedestrians through a crosswalk, then accelerated around a road closure sign, crashed through wooden sawhorses, and plowed through the busy marketplace crowd, traveling nearly 1,000 feet (300 m) at speeds between 40 and 60 mph (60 and 100 km/h). The entire sequence of collisions took at least ten seconds. By the time the car came to a halt, Weller had killed ten people and injured 70. Weller told investigators he had accidentally placed his foot on the accelerator pedal instead of the brake, then tried to brake but could not stop.On May 22, 2008, the Los Angeles Times reported that the City of Santa Monica had thus far paid out $21 million to settle dozens of civil lawsuits stemming from the case. The same article also noted that Weller, age 91, was now confined to his home and receiving 24-hour nursing care.Weller died on December 9, 2010, aged 94.

The Mayfair Music Hall was an English music hall-styled vaudeville theater devised and created by entrepreneur Milt Larsen, located in Santa Monica, California. The theater was originally designed by architect Henry C. Hollwedel, and built in 1910 as the Santa Monica Opera House. On December 12, 1911, it opened under the new name Majestic Theater. When live shows proved unpopular, it featured silent movies and vaudeville acts. Milt Larsen transformed the venue into a Victorian music hall in 1972 and produced British variety shows there. In 1974, the theater was used to film the famous "Puttin' on the Ritz" sequence in Young Frankenstein. In 1974, it was used to film a scene for the pilot movie of The Rockford Files, which featured an acrobat and a dog act. In 1989, it housed the Los Angeles wing of The Second City comedy troupe. The theatre was damaged in the 1994 Northridge earthquake, and the owner gutted the building and removed all the ornate decor. As of 2019, the theater housed a Shoe Palace store.
