Lippo Centre (Hong Kong)

The Victoria Barracks (Chinese: 域多利兵房) were a barracks in the Admiralty area of Central on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. The barracks were constructed between the 1840s and 1874, and situated within the area bounded by Cotton Tree Drive, Kennedy Road and Queensway. Together with Murray Barracks, Wellington Barracks and Admiralty Dock, the barracks formed a British military zone in Central. The barracks was named for Queen Victoria, monarch at the time of construction.

Umbrella Square (Chinese: 雨傘廣場), also called Umbrella Plaza, describes a large roadway in Admiralty, Hong Kong occupied by protesters during the Umbrella Movement protests in September 2014. On 11 December 2014, after 74 days of occupation, the area was cleared by the police and reopened to motorised traffic.

The High Court Building of Hong Kong is located at 38 Queensway, Admiralty, and is home to the High Court. The 20 storey building was built in 1985 as the home of the then Supreme Court of Hong Kong, which was renamed in 1997. The structure is a white clad tower and has a water fountain outside its front door. Demonstration and media coverage take place at the entrance of the building.

The Consulate General of South Korea in Hong Kong (Korean: 주 홍콩 대한민국 총영사관; Chinese: 大韓民國駐香港總領事館) is a consular mission of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to Hong Kong and Macau. It is located at 5-6F, Far East Finance Center 16, Harcourt Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong. It is one of the first South Korean overseas missions since the country's foundation, opened in British Hong Kong under approval of the United Kingdom in 1949, going through promotion and expansion in its history. Following the Transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong to China in 1997, the Consulate General was able to keep its presence according to a Sino-Korean agreement concerning foreign missions stationed in Hong Kong.

Queensway is a major road in the Admiralty area of Central, Hong Kong. It was originally a section of Queen's Road East and forms part of the continuum of Queen's Road that had been split into Queen's Road West, Queen's Road Central, Queensway, and Queen's Road East after World War II. At its western end it splits into Queen's Road Central and Des Voeux Road Central while at its eastern end it merges into Hennessy Road, at the junction with Queen's Road East.

The High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is a part of the legal system of Hong Kong. It consists of the Court of Appeal and the Court of First Instance; it deals with criminal and civil cases which have risen beyond the lower courts. It is a superior court of record of unlimited civil and criminal jurisdiction. It was named the Supreme Court before 1997. Though previously named the Supreme Court, this Court has long been the local equivalent to the Senior Courts of England and Wales and has never been vested with the power of final adjudication.

The Court of Appeal of the High Court of Hong Kong is the second most senior court in the Hong Kong legal system. It deals with appeals on all civil and criminal cases from the Court of First Instance and the District Court. It is one of two courts that makes up the High Court of Hong Kong (which was formerly known as the Supreme Court of Hong Kong). Sometimes criminal appeals from Magistrates' Courts with general public importance are also dealt with in the Court of Appeal, either by referral by a single judge from the Court of First Instance, or upon granting of leave on application for review by the Secretary for Justice. This court also hears appeals from the Lands Tribunal and various tribunals and statutory bodies. The Chief Judge of the High Court of Hong Kong serves as the President of the Court of Appeal. Prior to the establishment of the Court of Appeal in 1976, a Full Court consisting of first instance High Court judges was constituted to hear appeals.Cases in the Court of Appeal are decided by a bench consisting of one, two or three Judges. On rare occasions, having regard to the public importance of the issue, the Court of Appeal has been constituted by a division of five Judges. Final substantive appeal hearings take place before a bench of three Judges. In civil cases, interlocutory appeals and leave to appeal application hearings take place before a bench of two Judges. A single Judge can grant leave to appeal on a paper application and make procedural orders/directions not involving the determination of an appeal. In criminal cases, appeals against sentence take place before a bench of two Judges and leave to appeal application hearings take place before a single Judge. A decision by a two-member bench of the Court of Appeal has the same binding precedential value as a decision by a three-member bench of the Court of Appeal or a five-member bench of the Court of Appeal. If a case is heard by a two-member bench and the two Judges differ on the outcome, then the lower court's judgment or order will not be disturbed. In such a situation, any party can apply for the case to be re-heard by an uneven number of Judges in the Court of Appeal.A Judge of the Court of First Instance may also sit as a Judge in the Court of Appeal, including as a single Judge (for example, when determining applications for leave to appeal in criminal cases).

The Court of First Instance is the lower court of the High Court of Hong Kong, the upper court being the Court of Appeal. Formerly the High Court of Justice of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong, it was renamed the Court of First Instance by the Basic Law after the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to China. The Court of First Instance is the highest court in Hong Kong that can hear cases at first instance with unlimited jurisdiction in both civil and criminal matters. It hears predominantly civil cases but only relatively few criminal cases were heard at first instance, mostly involving the most serious crimes such as homicide offences, rape, serious drugs offences and major commercial frauds. It is also an appellate court hearing appeals against decisions made by Masters as well as those of: Magistrates' Courts Small Claims Tribunal Obscene Articles Tribunal Labour Tribunal Minor Employment Claims Adjudication BoardIt is the only court in Hong Kong where cases are tried by a judge with a jury (although the inquisition in Coroner's court may involve a jury). The Basic Law only maintains 'the trial by jury previously practised in Hong Kong' but it does not make jury trial an absolute right. In the case of Chiang Lily v Secretary for Justice, the court confirmed that "there does not exist, in Hong Kong, any absolute right to trial by jury nor any mechanism by which a person to be tried of an indictable offence may elect to be so tried" (per Wright J.). A defendant will only face a jury trial if he is tried in the Court of First Instance, and the decision is the prerogative of the Secretary for Justice. The Court of First Instance is bound by the ratio of previous decisions of higher courts (including the Court of Final Appeal and Court of Appeal of the High Court, as well as all Hong Kong cases previously decided by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council) that have not been overruled.

Flagstaff House, built in 1846, is the oldest example of Western-style architecture remaining in Hong Kong. It is located at 10 Cotton Tree Drive, Central – within the Hong Kong Park. It has been a longtime residence of the Commander of the British forces in Hong Kong during colonial times. Today Flagstaff House houses the Museum of Tea Ware.

Admiralty (Chinese: 金鐘; Cantonese Yale: Gāmjūng) is a Mass Transit Railway (MTR) station located on Hong Kong Island, in an area often referred to as Admiralty. The station's livery is blue and white. The station connects the Tsuen Wan line with the Island line and the South Island line. Before the opening of the Tsuen Wan branch line in 1982, it was part of the Modified Initial System. The station and the region are named after HMS Tamar (a place of land now known as the Tamar site), once the headquarters of the Royal Navy in Hong Kong – this, even though HMS Tamar had never actually been called the Admiralty. It was built on the former site of the Hong Kong naval dockyards, which was built in 1878 and demolished in the 1970s. The Chinese name, which translates to 'Gold or Golde Clock', refers to a clock with gold-coloured numerals and hands that was centred on the main building of Wellington Barracks from 1890 to 1962. In 2011 to 2016, the station underwent major expansion to accommodate two new sets of platforms underneath the original structure to serve two more MTR lines, the South Island line and the East Rail line (part of the Sha Tin to Central Link). One of the East Rail Line platforms opened on 8 October 2021, but the other will open in May 15th of 2022, with the commencement of the second phase of the Sha Tin to Central Link. The South Island line opened in 2016.

The Henderson is a skyscraper under construction in Central, Hong Kong. The 36-story building will rise to a height of 190 metres (623 feet). It is designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. The site at 2 Murray Road was reportedly the world's most expensive plot when it was purchased by developer Henderson Land Development in 2017, leading to the demolishment of the car park at the site. Construction began in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2024. British auction house Christie's, the CPP Investment Board, and Audemars Piguet will be some of the building's tenants upon the building's completion.

The Murray Road Multi-storey Car Park Building (Chinese: 美利道多層停車場大廈) was a building mostly occupied by a public multi-storey car park in Central, Hong Kong. Built in 1973, the building was sold in 2017 and the land plot will be redeveloped. The building was located along Murray Road, after which it was named. Murray Road was named after Sir George Murray, a soldier and politician from Scotland.
