Leicester's Corn Exchange stands in the City centre of Leicester, England. The exchange is sited at the centre of the Market Place and is a Grade II* listed building. The exchange currently operates as a Lloyds No. 1 bar. There have been buildings on the site since the 16th century. The present building was built in the 1850s by William Flint as a market place. In 1856 an upper floor and external stone staircase were added by F.W. Ordish to house the Corn Exchange.A corn exchange was a building where farmers and merchants traded cereal grains, common up until the 19th century in towns and cities of Great Britain and Ireland. The Leicester Bike Park is a bicycle parking facility in Leicester Town Hall, England. It is managed by the City Council. Facilities include secure bike parking, showers, changing rooms, lockers, and advice. The Bike Park was developed as the result of research into public attitudes to cycling, carried out by Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire (then trading as Environ) in the 1990s. These studies showed that, in addition to the need for safe cycle routes, the lack of secure bike parking and changing facilities for commuters were barriers preventing people from cycling. The Bike Park was opened in 1997. Through the Bike Park and other initiatives, Leicester City has seen an 81% growth in commuter cycling (2004 to 2009) and the average daily number cycle journeys in the city has grown to 10,500.

It is the largest settlement in the East Midlands. The city lies on the River Soar and close to the eastern end of the National Forest. Leicester City Centre is Leicester's historical commercial, cultural and transport hub and is home to its central business district. Its inner core is roughly delineated by the A594, Leicester's inner ring road, although the various central campuses of the University of Leicester, De Monfort University and Leicester College are adjacent to the inner ring road and could be considered to be a continuation of the City centre. In a similar way, the Leicester Royal Infirmary precinct, the New Walk business district (Southfields), the Welford Road Stadium of Leicester Tigers' RUFC and the King Power Stadium of Premier League Leicester City to the south, and the Golden Mile to the north could also be deemed to be extensions to the central core. The city centre incorporates most of Leicester's shopping, with the Highcross and the Haymarket Shopping Centre as well as the 'Old Town' around Leicester Cathedral, Leicester Market and the Magazine Gateway. Politically, the city centre is split between the Leicester City Council wards of Abbey and Castle. A£19 million regeneration project transformed Leicester's city centre. The work won three awards: The Urbis Urban Regeneration Award in 2007 for Gallowtree Gate, The BCSC Town Centre "Gold" Best in Britain award in June 2009 and the Transport Times Walking & Public Realm award in July 2009.

Silver Arcade is a Grade II listed building in the centre of Leicester, England. A former shopping arcade, Silver Arcade was built by Amos Hall in 1889. The top floor was closed off in 2000, leaving the units on the ground floor occupied by a number of independent retailers. In 2008, the centre was the focus of a campaign by the Leicester Civic Society to reopen it.In 2010, plans were announced to reopen the top floors. Later plans in 2019 were announced to convert two floors of the building into office space.

The Haymarket Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in the city centre of Leicester, England. It was opened on 4 June 1973 as part of the Haymarket Centre and was the country's second shopping centre after the Bull Ring, Birmingham. It is located east of and adjacent to the Clock Tower.The Haymarket Shopping Centre has around 65 outlets and shares the Haymarket Centre with a bus station, a two-stage theatre, and a Travelodge hotel in the former Haymarket House. The Haymarket Centre previously featured two nightclubs (located either side of the clock tower entrance), Dino's restaurant (adjacent to the theatre entrance) and two enclosed foot bridges (one crossing Charles Street in to Kildare Street and the other crossing Humberstone Gate linking to Lewis's department store). During 2021 Leicester City Council purchased the shopping centre for £9.9million

ISKCON Leicester is a Hindu temple located in central Leicester, in the East Midlands region of England. The temple is one of sixteen religious and cultural centers run by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in the United Kingdom. The temple follows the Krishnaism or Krishna-centric traditions of the Gaudiya Vaishnava denomination within Hinduism. Their philosophy is based on Sanskrit texts known as the Bhagavad Gita (The Song of God) and the Bhagavat Purana. Unlike broader Hinduism, the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition is monotheistic and worship Krishna as the highest form of God and the source of all the avatars of God.
