Eliza Howell Park

The Redford Theatre is an atmospheric theatre in the Old Redford neighborhood of Detroit. The theatre opened in January 1928, advertised as "Detroit's most unique suburban theatre," due to its grand design, featuring Japanese and Chinese motifs. The Redford is part of a series of three grand cinemas in the Detroit suburbs operated by the Kunsky circuit, all of which stand today. The Redford features its original 3-manual, 10-rank Barton organ, which is played regularly. The Redford's ownership passed to the Goldberg family and their Community Theatre chain in the 1930s. The Motor City Theatre Organ Society purchased the theatre in 1977, and continues to operate and renovate the space, presenting organ shows and classic movies. The theatre was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Redford High School was a secondary school in Detroit, Michigan. A part of Detroit Public Schools, the school opened in September 1921 and ceased operations in June 2007. Staffed and operated by the Detroit Public Schools; Redford High School served the sub-communities of Old Redford, Grandmont, Rosedale Park and Brightmoor.

Redford Township is a charter township in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Redford borders Detroit to the west, roughly 15 miles (24.1 km) northwest of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the township had a population of 49,504.

Bishop Borgess High School was a Catholic secondary school in the Detroit suburb of Redford, Michigan. Named after Caspar Henry Borgess, the second Roman Catholic bishop of Detroit, it was founded by the parishes of St. Suzanne (in Detroit), Our Lady of Grace (Dearborn Heights), and St. Hilary (Redford). Later contributing parishes included St. Monica (Detroit), St. Robert Bellarmine (Redford), St. Gemma (Detroit)., St. Valentine (Redford), Christ the King (Detroit), St. Scholastica (Detroit), St. Thomas Aquinas (Detroit), and St. Gerard (Detroit). When the school opened in September 1966, it had 317 students. During the 1970s, Bishop Borgess was the largest coeducational Catholic high school in Michigan, with a peak enrollment of 1,912 in 1978. Soon after reaching this peak, the demographics of northwest Detroit began to change and enrollment began decreasing. The Archdiocese of Detroit closed the school in 2005. Today, the school is a part of Cornerstone Schools under the name, Washington-Parks Academy.

Brightmoor is a neighborhood located in Detroit, Michigan, near the northwest border of the city. Brightmoor is defined by the Brightmoor Alliance as being bordered by Puritan Avenue to the north, the CSX railway to the south, Evergreen Road to the east, and Outer Drive West, Dacosta Street, and Telegraph Road to the west. However, the demographics given here for the neighborhood are the city's statistical Master Plan Neighborhood area, which consists of eight census tracts that includes some areas outside of the Alliance's boundaries, but does not include some areas within its boundaries.

The Samuel D. Holcomb School, or simply the Holcomb School, is a former school located at 18100 Bentler Street in Detroit.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

Duboisville was an unincorporated community in Wayne County, Michigan, USA, in the general vicinity of 7 Mile Road and Berg Road, which is now within the city boundaries of Detroit. It was begun around the lumber mill of James Dubois in about 1850. Some sources say that it was projected around the mill in 1878 but it seems there was a community using this name before then. At the time, it was in what was then Redford Township. Early on, Julius Ziegler, a merchant operating in the village, tried to have the place renamed for himself, but the original name of Duboisville was retained.The town had a school called the Duboisville School. This continued to exist after the area was annexed to Detroit and operated as part of Detroit Public Schools until the 1980s.Starting about 1900, the population of the village went into decline. In 1916, the lumbermill closed. At about this time, Duboisville merged with Sandhill to form the village of Redford. In 1926, the village of Redford voted to become part of Detroit.

Beech is an unincorporated community in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is located within Redford Charter Township. As an unincorporated community, Beech has no legally defined boundaries or population statistics of its own. The community was given a post office under the name Beech on December 4, 1871 with Albert Fisher serving as the first postmaster. Beech was platted in 1872 and was also known by the name Fisher. It had a general store operated by Albert Fisher and a sawmill operated by Dunning, Fisher & Rhode. It was also known as Fishers Station after the railroad depot. The early village of Redford was also platted in 1872. The post office was absorbed into Detroit and closed on September 17, 1906. Today, the community of Beech is part of Redford Township, and the name is retained locally in Beech Daly Road.

Lee M. Thurston High School is a public high school in Redford, Michigan, United States in the suburban Detroit area. The school is a part of the South Redford School District. The school was completed in 1956. Recently THS received the rank of 11th among Michigan schools in Newsweek's top 1,000 high schools list. Thirty percent of Thurston High School receives subsidized lunch.

The Redford Township District No. 5 School is a school building located at 18499 Beech Daly Road in Redford, Michigan. After 1923, the school was known as the Redford Union District No. 1 School, and the building was also called the Beech Road School. It is now known as the John C. Raeside Administration Building. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1994 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

City Mission Academy is a private, non-denominational Christian, charitable organization and K-5 school operating in the community of Brightmoor, Detroit, since 1998.

Communication & Media Arts High School (CMA) is a public, magnet high school and part of Detroit Public Schools in Detroit, Michigan. Kim Woo Gray was principal from when the school opened in 1992 until her retirement in 2008. CMA has twenty-three full-time staff and 512 students. CMA is one of four magnet schools in Detroit, others being (Renaissance High School, Cass Technical High School and Detroit School of Arts).
