Elland Road Greyhound Stadium also known as Leeds Greyhound Stadium was a greyhound racing stadium in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The stadium is not to be confused with the football ground Elland Road or Fullerton Park.

Leeds United Football Club is a professional football club based in Leeds, West Yorkshire in England. The team's traditional kit colours are white shirts, white shorts and white socks. Their badge features the White Rose of York, which is a symbol of Yorkshire. Elland Road is a football stadium in Beeston, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, which has been the home of Championship club Leeds United since the club's formation in 1919. The stadium is the 14th largest football stadium in England. The ground has hosted FA Cup semi-final matches as a neutral venue, and England international fixtures, and was selected as one of eight Euro 96 venues. Elland Road was used by rugby league club Hunslet in the mid-1980s and hosted two matches of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Elland Road has four stands – the Don Revie (North) Stand (also known as the kop), the Jack Charlton (East) Stand (which was once known as the Lowfields Road stand), the Norman Hunter South Stand and the John Charles (West) Stand – and an all-seated capacity of 37,792 Elland Road had recorded its record league attendance on 27 December 1932, where a capacity of 56,796 watched Leeds played Arsenal and then the record attendance of 57,892 was set on 15 March 1967 in an FA Cup fifth round replay against Sunderland. This was before the stadium became an all-seater venue as stipulated by the Taylor Report and the modern record is 40,287 for a Premiership match against Newcastle United on 22 December 2001. Plans are currently afoot to increase the capacity of Elland Road to 50,000, to be achieved by demolishing the West Stand and rebuilding the area.The stadium has hosted concerts, including performances by bands such as Queen, U2, Happy Mondays and the Kaiser Chiefs.

The Recreation Ground, Holbeck held eight first class cricket matches [1]. Yorkshire CCC played 3 county championship games at the site, including a Roses Match in 1868 and the touring Australians twice played there. The Roses Match, the first first class game on the ground, was remarkable in that Lancashire were bowled out for just 30 and 34 and lost the match by an innings and 186 runs, one of the most comprehensive defeats in the long history of the fixture [2]. George Freeman took 12 for 23 in the match while Tom Emmett bagged 8 for 24. Only two centuries were scored on the ground in first class matches, Irwin Grimshaw scoring an unbeaten 122 in Yorkshire's first innings against Derbyshire CCC in 1886 and Billy Bates making 106 in the second. The ground has been lost to development and is currently covered by housing.

Yorkshire Radio was a British digital radio station serving Yorkshire on DAB. The station was owned by Leeds United A.F.C. and broadcast live coverage of all first-team games, alongside pop music from the 1960s to 2013.

Cottingley is an urban area in the south-west of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Cottingley falls within Beeston and Holbeck ward of the Leeds City Council, and is classed as an area of Beeston. The area includes Cottingley Hall Cemetery and Crematorium, run by the Council.

Farnley and Wortley railway station served the districts of Farnley and Wortley in Leeds, England from 1848 to 1952 on the Huddersfield line.

Cottingley Towers & Cottingley Heights are twin high-rise towers of rented-flat accommodation on top of a hill in Cottingley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Cottingley Towers & Cottingley Heights were previously the tallest residential buildings in Leeds, with 25 floors each. The towers are 72 metres (236 ft) tall but are not classed as skyscrapers. They were built between 1971-2 and were refurbished in 1989.The towers were once heralded as the tallest residential buildings in Europe. Much has been done to address crime in the area and levels of crime have subsided notably over the past 10 years. When built, it was decided not to put a flat number 13 in either block as some regard 13 to be unlucky, and this was also the first time buildings of this design had been constructed. The Towers and Heights fall within the Beeston and Holbeck ward of the Leeds City Council.

Wortley ( WURT-lee) is an inner city area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It begins one mile to the west of the city centre. The appropriate City of Leeds ward is called Farnley and Wortley. It was known as Wirkelay until about 1700. Wortley was a weaving township within the parish of Leeds before it became industrial with coal pits, brickworks, railway yards and engine sheds—including a roundhouse, on Wellington Road. This listed building, originally constructed to house a dozen or so steam locomotives, is now the premises of a major commercial vehicle hire company. In the 1880s, Wortley became incorporated into the expanding (then) town of Leeds.Wortley is divided into three areas: New Wortley, Upper Wortley and Lower Wortley.

Cottingley railway station serves the Cottingley and Churwell areas of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It lies 3 miles (5 km) south west of Leeds on the Huddersfield Line. It is the nearest railway station to Leeds United F.C.'s Elland Road stadium. White Rose railway station is planned 2,460 feet (750 m) south of Cottingley station, to open in 2023 and following a review, West Yorkshire Combined Authority has decided that Cottingley station will subsequently close on the grounds of its inaccessibility and that White Rose station will be better connected to businesses and places of education.

Churwell railway station served the village of Churwell, West Yorkshire, England from 1848 to 1940 on the Huddersfield line.
