Chidda railway station

Ramsay is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It is named after Alexander Ramsay, who was general manager of the South Australian Housing Trust for 25 years. It is a 24.7 km² suburban electorate north of Adelaide—based on the angle between Main North Road and the Port Wakefield Road, Ramsay covers the outer northern Adelaide suburbs of Paralowie, Salisbury, Salisbury Downs and Salisbury Plain, as well as part of Salisbury North. Ramsay was first contested at the 1985 election. Two of three representatives of the electorate have served as Premier of South Australia. It is a safe Labor seat, with the fifth-largest Labor margin in the state at the 1997 election, second-largest at the 2002 election, and largest at the 2006 election where Labor won 71.5 percent of the first preference vote and 78.5 percent of the two-party vote, and the largest at the 2010 election. A 2012 Ramsay by-election occurred on 11 February as a result of Mike Rann's resignation from parliament, Labor easily retained the seat and maintained the largest Labor seat margin. It had the second largest margin following the 2014 election.

Salisbury was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from May 1970 to December 1985.The suburb of Salisbury is currently located in the safe Labor seat of Ramsay.

Salisbury South is a suburb located in the City of Salisbury, Adelaide, South Australia. It is bounded by Frost Road, Main North Road, Kings Road and Cross Keys Road. It is predominantly industrial in character and includes factories for brandnames such as Bickford's and R. M. Williams.

The District Council of Yatala North was a local government area of South Australia on the central Adelaide Plains from 1868 to 1933. It was split from the abolished District Council of Yatala on 18 June 1868. The council area ranged approximately from Dry Creek in the south to the Little Para River in the north.

Salisbury railway station is a railway station and bus interchange in the northern Adelaide suburb of Salisbury. It is on the Gawler line, 20.2 kilometres (12.6 mi) from Adelaide station. Adjoining it is a large park & ride carpark, making it one of the busiest stations on the Adelaide suburban rail system.

Salisbury Downs is a suburb located in the City of Salisbury, Adelaide, South Australia. The suburb is bordered by Kings Road, the Little Para River, Burton Road, Spains Road and the Gawler railway line. Salisbury Downs Post Office opened on 8 July 1991.

Parafield is a non-residential suburb of Adelaide approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to 18 kilometres (11 mi) north of the CBD. The suburb is essentially contiguous with Parafield Airport. There are airport related businesses in the terminal and hangar area of the airport, and a general commercial area in the corner of Kings and Main North Roads. It is bordered by Main North Road to the east, Kings Road to the north and the Gawler railway line to the west, where it is served by Parafield station. To the south it abuts Mawson Lakes and Elder Smith Drive at the boundary of the airport. Parafield Post Office opened on 1 July 1946, was renamed Parafield Airport in 1965 and closed in 1986.

Located in the northern suburbs of the city of Adelaide, South Australia, the parish's boundaries roughly coincide with the limits of the City of Salisbury. In the Salisbury Catholic Parish, there are three mass centres: St Augustine, St Finbar, the Holy Family; three parish schools: St Augustine School, Holy Family School, and Thomas More College; the Pioneer cemetery; and some parish and migrant groups and communities, as well as charities.The Parish celebrates a biannual carnival on the eve of Lent.
