Shenantaha Creek Park

Ballston Creek, also called Shenantaha Creek from the Iroquois name for Ballston Lake ("deep water"), is a stream in Saratoga County, New York. It originates at the north end of Ballston Lake and runs approximately six miles (9.7 km) through the towns of Ballston and Malta, descending 100 feet before exiting into Round Lake. "Some geologists find evidence to convince them that there was a period ... when the Mohawk, after its turn at Scotia, continued northeast and flowed through Ballston Lake, then turned southeast coursing its way through the wide valley of Ballston Creek into Round Lake, then down the Anthony Kill to the Hudson."The Rensselaer and Saratoga Railroad, later merged with the Delaware and Hudson, largely followed the path of Ballston Creek north of the village of Round Lake. The former rail bed is now part of the Zim Smith multi-use trail.

Ruhle Road Stone Arch Bridge was a historic stone arch bridge located at Malta in Saratoga County, New York. It was constructed about 1873 and spanned the Ballston Creek. The arch measured 26 feet from the creek surface and 23.5 feet between the abutments.It collapsed in 1993 and was replaced in 2001 with the Ruhle Road Lenticular Metal Truss Bridge.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 and delisted in 2004.

Ruhle Road Lenticular Metal Truss Bridge is a historic Lenticular truss bridge located in Malta, Saratoga County, New York. It was constructed in 1888 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company of East Berlin, Connecticut, and originally spanned the Black Creek in Salem, Washington County, New York. It was moved to its present location in 2001 and spans the Ballston Creek, where it is used by pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles. It replaced the Ruhle Road Stone Arch Bridge that collapsed in 1993 and subsequently delisted from the National Register of Historic Places. It is a single span with an overall length of 57 feet, 7 inches and width of 14 feet. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Malta is a town in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The town is in the central part of the county and is south of Saratoga Springs. The population was 17,130 as of the 2020 census. Malta, along with Stillwater, is home to the Luther Forest Technology Campus, a 1,414-acre (572 ha) site designed for semiconductor and nanotechnology manufacturing and other innovative technologies. This campus includes GlobalFoundries, a company specializing in the semiconductor industry, which in April 2021 moved its headquarters from Silicon Valley, California to its semiconductor-chip manufacturing facility in Saratoga County near a section of the Adirondack Northway, in Malta.

Dunning Street Cemetery is a historic rural cemetery located at Malta, Saratoga County, New York. The cemetery was established about 1775, and incorporated by the Dunning Street Cemetery Association in 1908. It is the final resting place of many important early Malta residents, including veterans of American Revolutionary War and includes a number of notable examples of 19th century local funerary art. It remains an active burial ground.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

East Line Union Cemetery , also known as the Armstrong Corners Cemetery is a cemetery, located at the corner of Round Lake road (county road 80) and East Line road (county road 82) in the southwest corner of Malta, New York, in Saratoga County. The cemetery was designated as a historic landmark by the town of Malta in 1993.

Ballston Spa High School is a public high school located in Ballston Spa, New York, United States. It is part of the Ballston Spa Central School District, which covers the towns of Ballston, Milton, and Malta in Saratoga County. The mascot is the Scottie dog, dedicated to long-time athletic director/coach Coach William R. Scott. The school colors are Purple and Gold but the complementary (alternative) color of black is often used.The high school was shifted to a new building in 1998; it remains on the same campus as the previous high school, which now functions as a middle school. Prior to moving to current complex in the 1950s, Ballston Spa High School was located in what is now Malta Avenue Elementary School. Graduating class sizes range from 300 to 400, resulting in a total student population of around 1,400.

All Saints' Episcopal Church, is an historic Carpenter Gothic church built in 1892 on Simpson Avenue in Round Lake, New York. It is a contributing property in the Round Lake Historic District.

The Verbeck House is located on Church Street (NY 50) just south of downtown Ballston Spa, New York, United States. It is a frame house built in the late 19th century. It was one of the last buildings designed by regionally important architect Marcus F. Cummings. The building is one of the few houses he designed late in his career, and one of his few in the Queen Anne architectural style. It retains much of its ornate period interior decorations. In 1983 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was used for a time afterwards as the National Bottle Museum, which obtained a state matching grant to restore it. The museum later moved to larger quarters in the village's downtown following a legal dispute with its parent organization. Today the house is home to some professional offices.

Ballston Lake is a lake that is located in the hamlet of Ballston Lake, New York in the town of Ballston. This narrow 3.7-mile (6.0 km)-long lake with an unknown maximum depth in the south of the region, was called Shanantaha or Sha-nen-da-ho-ra by natives. It was known to early white settlers as Long Lake. The lake was part of the Mohawk River during the glacial age and archeological digs have unearthed artifacts indicating settlement around the lake as early as 3,500 BCE. For a long time the depth of Ballston Lake was not determined, due to the multiple caves that prevented divers from going to the bottom. There has been an artifact found that is dated 2000 B.C.Fish species present in the lake include northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, carp, pumpkinseed sunfish, walleye, bluegill, black crappie, redfin pickerel and brown bullhead. The lake is meromictic, meaning its deeper waters never mix with the surface layer.In 2021 both the cartop boat launch on Outlet Road and the private one located at Finnigan's On The Lake Restaurant were closed, leaving no public boating access to the lake. In February 2022, the public fishing pier on the north end of the lake was closed due to damage sustained by ice over the winter.

The U.S. Post Office in Ballston Spa, New York, is located on Front Street in the village's commercial center. It is a brick building constructed in the mid-1930s, serving the 12020 ZIP Code, which covers the village and the surrounding areas of the Town of Ballston, Town of Milton, and Town of Malta Designed by Louis A. Simon, supervising architect of the Treasury Department, it uses an extremely restrained version of the Colonial Revival architectural style common on most post offices in small towns from that period. Only one other post office in New York is similar to it. In 1988 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Round Lake Library is located in the village of Round Lake, New York, United States. The village is located in Saratoga County, northeast of Schenectady. The Round Lake Library was established in 1897 by the Woman's Round Lake Improvement Society (WRLIS), a not-for-profit organization of men and women from the community who sponsor activities to improve the village. The mission of WRILS was "to make Round Lake desirable and attractive as a place of residence and in all ways to study to keep pace with the progressive spirit of the age." The Round Lake Library has stayed true to WRILS' mission and is a beloved centerpiece of the Round Lake community that has thrived for the past 110 years.
