Tureberg

Sollentuna is one of the five stations of the Stockholm commuter rail in Sollentuna Municipality. It is situated in the neighbourhood of Tureberg 13.3 km north of Stockholm Central Station. The station was originally called Tureberg and was opened in 1866 in a rural setting along the railway Stockholm–Uppsala. The name was changed to Sollentuna in 1968 at the request of the municipality, since Tureberg is the de facto centre of the municipality. The area around the station has developed into a suburban centre with high rise buildings, a bus terminal and a large shopping mall.

Uppland Runic Inscription 100 is the Rundata designation for a memorial runestone that is located in the forest where a path meets a bog near Skälby, which is about two kilometers northeast of Sollentuna, Stockholm County, Sweden, which was part of the historical province of Uppland.

Sollentuna Municipality (Sollentuna kommun [ˈsɔ̂lːɛnˌtʉːna kʊˈmʉːn] ) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east-central Sweden, north of Stockholm. Its seat of local government is located in Tureberg, which is a part of Sollentuna urban area.

Sollentuna Köping was a köping in Sollentuna Hundred. In 1971, it was reformed into Sollentuna Municipality.

Edsbacka krog ("Edsbacka inn") is a restaurant on the banks of the Edsviken in Sollentuna, Sweden, just north of Stockholm. It closed in February 2010, and was then one of two Swedish restaurants with two stars in the Michelin Guide.

Husby is a station on the blue line of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Husby, northern Stockholm. The station was inaugurated on 5 June 1977 as part of the extension from Hallonbergen to Akalla. The distance to Kungsträdgården is 15 km (9.3 mi).

The main construction of modern Husby, with its multi-level concrete apartment buildings, started in 1972 as part of the Million Programme. The subway station was opened in 1977 and the train takes approx. 20 minutes to Stockholm City. The name of the suburb was taken from a former royal farm, still located in the area. The streets of Husby are named after cities in Norway. There are many runestones in the surroundings of Husby, remnants from when Vikings used to live here. Husby has the lowest income per capita of any district of Stockholm. In 2014, more than 80% of the population had minority background, mostly from Middle East and Africa.In its December 2015 report, Police in Sweden placed the district in the most severe category of urban areas with high crime rates.On 30 December 2016, shopkeepers decided to close their businesses from 1300 onwards due to the high number of robberies and burglaries targeting them.In 2017, local authorities decided to hire security guards to help the businesses, but no private security company wanted to take on the job.

Edsbergs slott (Edsberg Manor) is a manor house and estate located by the bay of Edsviken in Sollentuna Municipality, north of Stockholm, Sweden.

Kista Torn (in English, Kista Towers) is a pair of 19- and 40-storey apartment buildings, connected at their base. The towers are situated on Borgarfjordsgatan in the Kista district of Stockholm, Sweden. The highest tower ("K1") stands at 117.9 m (387 ft) tall, which made it the tallest residential skyscraper in Stockholm on its completion in 2015. This feat is set to be matched by Norra Tornen in Hagastaden, upon completion of that project.The complex was designed by Brunnberg & Forshed Arkitektkontor AB, and is situated 200 m (660 ft) from Kista Centrum bus station and Kista metro station, alongside Kista Galleria shopping mall.

Akalla is a station in the Stockholm metro in the Akalla district of Stockholm. The station was opened on 5 June 1977 as the northern terminus of the extension of the Blue line from Hallonbergen. This is the final stop on Line 11 of the Blue Line. As part of Art in the Stockholm metro project, the station features an ochre colored grotto. The work includes ceramic pictures illustrating the ideals, daily life, leisure and work of all people, created by Birgit Ståhl-Nyberg in 1977.

Edsviks konsthall (Edsvik Art Gallery) was a Swedish art gallery situated at Edsberg, an 18th-century estate at Edsviken in the north of Stockholm, Sweden. The gallery focused on Swedish and international contemporary art. Some 15–20 exhibitions of Swedish and international artists were held at the gallery each year. Edsviks konsthall was the second largest art gallery in Sweden. The art gallery consisted of two main buildings; gallery east and gallery west. The director, Ricardo Donoso, was hired by Sollentuna Municipality in 2004.

Akalla is a district (Swedish: stadsdel) in Rinkeby-Kista borough, Stockholm, Sweden. Akalla has a population of roughly 9,100 as of 2018, in which immigrants, mostly from Asia and Africa, make up 60.4% of the population.Akalla is located on the blue metro line. Modern Akalla, with its concrete apartment buildings, as well as smaller houses, was constructed in the mid-1970s as a part of the Million Programme. The suburb is built close to, and named after an old farm from the 17th century. The name of Akalla is known from 1323. Between 1905 and 1970, the area was used by the Swedish Army as training grounds. The street names in Akalla are Finland related. The main street is called Sibeliusgången, in honour of the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, and it is reserved for pedestrians only. Right outside Akalla is Barkarby Airport, until its closure in 2010 Sweden's oldest active airport, due to Barkarby Amma M Nid Programme
