Barry Goldwater High School is a public high school located in Phoenix, Arizona, named after 1964 presidential candidate and well-known Arizona resident, US Senator Barry Goldwater. It is part of the Deer Valley Unified School District and opened in 1986. The school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, which has sent alumni to highly competitive universities such as the University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University, Princeton University, and University of California, Berkeley; it produced five National Merit semi-finalists in the class of 2007. The school is noted for a regional champion chess team for the year 2006–2007. It is an excelling school (top 15% of the state) and maintains an extremely high 68% AIMS pass rate and 99.7% AIMS attendance rate. The current principal is Anita Stulc, Ed.D.

Telephone Pioneers of America Park, also known as Telephone Pioneers Park or Telephone Park, is an adaptive recreation park serving the needs of physically disabled persons in Phoenix, Arizona. The park opened in 1988 from private donations collected by the Telephone Pioneers of America and is the first barrier-free park in the United States. Managed by the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, the park features two beep baseball fields, a therapeutic pool, a wheelchair-accessible playground, an 18-station exercise course, racquetball, volleyball, tennis, basketball and shuffleboard. Picnic facilities with open shelters known as ramadas are available.

The Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve, formerly known as the Deer Valley Rock Art Center, is a 47-acre nature preserve featuring over 1500 Hohokam, Patayan, and Archaic petroglyphs visible on 500 basalt boulders in the Deer Valley area of Phoenix, Arizona. In 1980, the US Army Corps of Engineers contracted Simon J. Bruder to conduct an archaeological investigation prior to the construction of the Adobe Dam at the Hedgpeth Hills. The petroglyphs are between 500 and 5,000 years old. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, and it was also listed with the Phoenix Points of Pride. The preserve and museum are operated by the ASU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences's School of Human Evolution and Social Change. The museum was designed by Will Bruder and was constructed on the site in 1994.

Adobe Mountain School is the only secondary school operated by the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (formerly one of four). It is located inside AZDJC's facility at Interstate 17 and Pinnacle Peak Road in Phoenix, Arizona. It is a member of the Canyon Athletic Association and an associate member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association. Its colors are black and white, and its mascot is the Lions.

Phoenix Deer Valley Airport (IATA: DVT, ICAO: KDVT, FAA LID: DVT) is a public airport 24 miles (21 nmi; 39 km) north of central Phoenix, in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, within the Phoenix city limits. It is owned by the City of Phoenix. The FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013 categorized it as a reliever airport for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.In 2020 the airport recorded 402,444 aircraft movements, making it the 5th busiest airport in the world by aircraft movements and the busiest general aviation airport in the world. The airport's high ranking is attributed to its large general aviation business and its status as the home of two popular flight schools.

Turf Paradise is a thoroughbred and quarter horse racetrack located at 19th Avenue and Bell Road, in the Deer Valley section of Phoenix, Arizona in the United States. It opened in 1956. Turf Paradise is typically open for racing from early November through April. It hosts the Turf Paradise Derby for three-year-olds in February, a prep race for the Kentucky Derby (although the race does not offer any qualifying points).Turf Paradise is owned and operated by local entrepreneur Jerry Simms, along with several partners. The Turf Paradise property had faced redevelopment after a real estate company entered into a purchase agreement in April 2023. It was reported in late September 2023 that the purchase agreement had fallen through and that a new buyer had emerged with the intention of continuing live racing at the track.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is a water park located in Phoenix, Arizona. The park is situated on approximately 35 acres (14 ha) of land, making it the largest theme park in the state. It is located in North Phoenix at Adobe Dam Regional Park.

Northwest Christian School is a private Christian school in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The campus is located at 16401 North 43rd Avenue, northwest of downtown Phoenix. The mission of Northwest Christian School is to provide a Bible-based program of education that enables students to develop a Christian world view. Northwest serves Pre-K through high school students. The school's enrollment is 1,500.

The Adobe Mountain Desert Park a.k.a. "The Railroad Park" is a park complex that houses the Sahuaro Central Railroad Heritage preservation Society, Sahuaro Central Railroad Museum, Arizona Model Railroading Society, and the Maricopa Live Steamers. The approximately 160-acre Adobe Mountain Desert Railroad Park is located south of Pinnacle Peak Road on 43rd Avenue in the City of Glendale, Arizona. In addition, it has several World War II-era Internment Camp Houses, originally intended as temporary housing at the Leupp Isolation Center. This was an Indian boarding school on the Navajo Nation, which was converted to house Japanese-American internees considered to be troublemakers at other internment camps, after these and other Japanese-American citizens had been forcibly removed from the West Coast.

Greenway High School is a public secondary school located in Phoenix, Arizona. It is a part of the Glendale Union High School District. It was named after John Campbell Greenway, a mining engineer and United States Senator. In the 1994–95 and 1995-96 school years, it was honored as a Blue Ribbon school.

Sandra Day O’Connor High School (SDOHS), part of the Deer Valley Unified School District, is a public high school located just west of I-17 and north of Happy Valley Road in Phoenix, Arizona. The school had a 97.1% graduation rate in 2018. SDOHS was first awarded the A+ School of Excellence distinction in 2018 and it was renewed in 2023.The campus, which first opened in fall 2002, is named after former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who grew up in Arizona, served as an assistant attorney general, was member of the state senate, and eventually became the first woman appointed as a Supreme Court Justice.
