Gyldenløves Høj is a high point on Sjælland, used to be the highest at 125.5 m above mean sea level. Kobanke near Rønnede is the highest natural point, however, at 122.9 m, as Gyldenløves Høj is only 121.3 m without the artificial mound constructed at the summit. Gyldenløves Høj is located in the Bidstrup forests in the parish of Jystrup between Ringsted og Hvalsø. Gyldenløves Høj is named after Ulrik Gyldenløve, half-brother of Christian V and owner of the nearby Skjoldenæsholm. In the late 17th century he raised an artificial hill on the original hilltop. Without this Gyldenløves Høj would be only 121.3 m above mean sea level placing it below Kobanke at Rønnede. During World War II the Allies airdropped weapons for the resistance movement at the hill. The hill is surrounded by trees obscuring the view and the fact that the hill is the highest point on Sjælland. During winter there is a bit of a view to the West. There is a Triangulation station marked GS (Generalstaben) at the foot of the artificial part of the hill.

OZ7IGY is a Danish amateur radio beacon, and the world's oldest VHF and UHF amateur radio beacon and active since the International Geophysical Year in 1957. It is located near Jystrup, in Maidenhead locator JO55WM54, and transmits on the frequencies detailed in Table 1. Since 30 October 2012, when the Next Generation Beacons platform came into use, the 2 m and 6 m beacons have been frequency and time locked to GPS.Since 30 March 2013 all the beacons using the Next Generation Beacons platform transmit PI4 (a specialized digital modulation system), CW and unmodulated carrier in a one-minute cycle. The frequency precision of the Next Generation Beacons is typically better than 5 mHz. Over time all the OZ7IGY beacons will use the Next Generation Beacons platform.

Ortved is a small village with a population of only 255 (1 January 2023) in Ringsted Municipality in the central part of the island of Zealand, Denmark, and is a part of region Sjælland. It lies on Roskildevejen main road close to the city of Ringsted. Ortved is also the village with Denmark's 5th most popular camping.

Hvalsø is a town and a former municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in east Denmark. The former municipality covered an area of 72 km2, and had a total population of 7,856 (2005). Its last mayor was Virginia Holst, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. She was the first foreign national becoming mayor in a Danish municipality.

Hvalsø railway station is a railway station serving the railway town of Kirke Hvalsø between the cities of Roskilde, Holbæk and Ringsted on the island of Zealand, Denmark. Hvalsø railway station is situated on the Northwest Line from Roskilde to Kalundborg. The station opened in 1874. It offers regional rail services to Holbæk, Roskilde and Copenhagen operated by the national railway company DSB.

Tadre Watermill (Danish; Tadre Mølle) is a watermill on Taderød Bæk, a tributary of Elverdams Å, in Lejre Municipality, between Roskilde and Tølløse, some 30 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is now operated as a museum and nature centre under Roskilde Museum. It used to belong to Aastrup Manor.

Ringsted-Hallen is an indoor sports arena in Ringsted, Denmark primarily used for handball. The arena was built in 1997 and holds 1,600 spectators (approx. 600 seated). It is home to the Danish Handball League side TMS Ringsted.

Zealand (Danish: Sjælland [ˈɕeˌlænˀ]) at 7,031 km2 is the largest and most populous island in Denmark proper (thus excluding Greenland and Disko Island, which are larger in size). Until 1 January 2007, Tølløse municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in the northeastern part of the former West Zealand County on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 126 km², and had a total population of 9,832 (2005). Its last mayor was Poul Erik Jensen, a member of the Danish Social Liberal Party (Det Radikale Venstre) political party. The main town and the site of its former municipal council was the town of Tølløse. Tølløse municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Holbæk, Jernløse, Svinninge, and Tornved municipalities to form a new Holbæk municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 583 km² and a total population of 66,611 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Sjælland ("Region Zealand").
