Mariastern Abbey is a Cistercian nunnery in Hohenweiler, Austria. It is the mother house of Marienfeld Abbey, founded in 1974.

Weißensberg is a municipality in the district of Lindau in Bavaria in Germany. Until 1955, Weißensberg belonged to the Bavarian district of Lindau, which was in the French occupation zone and had special benefits. The entire tax revenue remained “in the state of Lindau” and you could feel the political and economic fate of the highly esteemed District President Zwiesler everywhere. After the currency reform, all school desks were replaced, and in 1949 a third classroom was set up on the first floor.

Achberg is a municipality in the district of Ravensburg in Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

Hofrieden Court was located in Lochau in the state of Vorarlberg (Austria) and officially mentioned in a document for the first time in1354. It is also referred to as Hofrieden District Court, in German: Landgericht Hofrieden. This court was in existence until 1806, when the judicial circuits of that time were rendered unnecessary. It was a consequence to the fact that in the course of the Napoleonic wars Bavaria had become the new sovereign in the area of today's Vorarlberg.

The Vogelinsel is an island in Lake Constance with an area of around 600 square metres. It lies around 230 metres northwest of the mouth of the Leiblach opposite the Gemarkung of Reutin of the town of Lindau. On the island is the red mole beacon at the harbour entrance of the marina in Lindau-Zech. The island has been designated as a bird reserve. According to BayernAtlas, the Vogelinsel does not belong to any plot of land or any Gemarkung and thus does not belong to the borough of Lindau. It is therefore not incorporated, but nevertheless is part of German territory, as it lies within the Halde, the area of Lake Constance up to a water depth of 25 metres.

The Leiblach is a 34-kilometre-long (21 mi) tributary of Lake Constance and the Rhine. The Leiblach source is near the German municipality of Heimenkirch, flowing to the southwest. Near the Austrian town of Hohenweiler, the river joins a small tributary, the Rickenbach. This tributary forms a part of the Austrian-German border, and below the confluence the border continues to follow the Leiblach until it eventually empties into Lake Constance between the German town of Lindau and the Austrian town of Lochau.

Lindau-Reutin station is a junction station in the town of Lindau (Lake Constance), where the Aeschach curve branches off from the Vorarlberg Railway (Lindau-Bregenz–Bludenz). It is also a border station with Austria. In the course of the reconstruction of the Lindau rail hub, which began in 2016, the rail facilities, which were last used only as a goods station, were expanded into Lindau's new long-distance train station, which went into operation in 2020. In contrast to the terminus station Lindau-Insel (until 2020: Lindau Hbf), which opened in 1854, the station in the most populous district Reutin is a through station on the mainland. A station for local passenger services opened at Lindau-Reutin as Lindau-Lokalbahnhof in 1876 and was known as Lindau-Ost from 1911 but the last passenger services to it ended in 1980. The station building is located on Bregenzer Straße, on a level with Berliner Platz.

The Galgeninsel is a peninsula on the shore of Lake Constance near Lindau in the Bay of Reutin in Germany.

Eichenberg (Low Alemannic: Oachebearg) is a municipality in the district of Bregenz in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg.
