KIIS 101.1

The Pelaco Sign is a heritage-listed neon sign located in the inner Melbourne suburb of Richmond. It was erected in 1939 as an advertisement for local shirt manufacturer Pelaco. Melbourne-based rockabilly group, The Pelaco Brothers (1974–75), were named after the sign. The Pelaco sign is visible in many scenes of the 1986 film Dogs In Space. High on a building on Richmond Hill, it can be seen from many suburbs away especially when lit at night. The building is located at 21-31 Goodwood Street, Richmond and now houses numerous businesses including radio stations Gold 104.3 and KIIS 101.1, Madman Entertainment and media production company Fremantle Media and Authentic Entertainment.

Pinacotheca (1967–2002) was a gallery in Melbourne, Australia. Established in 1967 by Bruce Pollard (b. 1936), it was ideologically committed to the avant-garde and represented a new generation of artists interested in post-object, conceptual and other non-traditional art forms.

Vaucluse College FCJ was founded in 1882 by the Faithful Companions of Jesus. The school was originally known as Mount St Joseph College and later was changed to Vaucluse College FCJ. The main buildings of the college including the convent were designed by the architect GW Vanheems and constructed in stages between 1897-1904 to supplement the 'Eurolie' building already on site. These buildings, including the small gatehouse are listed as being of historical significance to the Richmond Hill area by the Heritage Council of Victoria. At various times, the college consisted of a junior school (age 5-11), a senior school which offered matriculation and accommodation for boarders. The school officially closed on December 8, 2000 due to changing demographics in the inner-city Melbourne region. The Vaucluse site is currently used as the Waterford campus for St Kevin's College.

Jesuit Social Services is a social change organisation working to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential. The organisation was established by the Australian Jesuits in 1977. Epworth HealthCare is a provider of acute medical, surgical and rehabilitation services in Melbourne, Australia. The group has four divisions: Epworth Richmond, Epworth Eastern, Epworth Cliveden, Epworth Freemasons and Epworth Geelong Epworth Rehabilitation, with rehabilitation sites at Richmond, Camberwell, Brighton and Geelong, Victoria. With over 1,200 beds and more than 4,000 staff, Epworth HealthCare is Victoria's largest not-for-profit private hospital group.

Christine Abrahams Gallery, first named Axiom, was a Melbourne gallery showing contemporary Australian art between 1980 and 2008.

The Royal Melbourne Tennis Club (RMTC) is one of only four real tennis clubs in Australia, and the site of one of less than fifty real tennis venues in the world. The RMTC is the second oldest in Australia and the largest. It is one of only five clubs in the world with more than one court (along with Queens Club in London, Prested Hall, Cambridge University Real Tennis Club and the Racquet and Tennis Club). The RMTC is the home of the Australian Open, as well as the largest (in terms of player involvement) Real Tennis tournament in the world, the Boomerang Cup. Robert Fahey, who holds the record for most World Championship wins, was a professional at RMTC prior to his move to the UK.

Richmond is an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 3 km (1.86 miles) east of Melbourne's Central Business District in the local government area of the City of Yarra municipality. The suburb is well known for its popular factory outlets along Bridge Road, remaining an attraction to the area. Richmond is well known for its vibrant and popular Little Saigon area along Victoria Street; however, the area is also recognised for the illicit drug dealing (especially heroin) that occurs in both street-based and domestic contexts.Richmond was named after Richmond Hill, London, with its outlook of the river bend (Yarra), however the waterfront area was later named Cremorne.The Richmond District in San Francisco (the area north of Golden Gate Park) was named after Richmond, Victoria, Australia. The designer of the Park's Japanese Tea Garden was from Melbourne and bought land in the yet-undeveloped area and named after the then posh suburb of his hometown.

The City of Richmond was a local government area about 2 kilometres (1 mi) east of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The city covered an area of 6.12 square kilometres (2.36 sq mi), and existed from 1855 until 1994.

Jolimont and West Richmond was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria from 1889 to 1904. It was located in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne and included parts of Richmond and Jolimont. Its area was defined as: Commencing at the junction of Victoria-street and Separation-street; thence south by Separation-street and Lennox-street to Swan-street; west by Swan-street to Punt-road or Hoddle-street; south by that street to the Yarra River; westerly down that river to a point opposite the end of Gisborne-street; north to and by Gisborne-street to Victoria-parade ; east by Victoria-parade and Victoria-street to the commencing point. Jolimont and West Richmond was abolished in 1904 when several new districts, including the Electoral district of Abbotsford were created.

Melbourne East Province was an electorate of the Victorian Legislative Council.It was created in June 1904 when Melbourne Province was reduced in size (four members down to two), North Yarra Province and South Yarra Province were abolished. The new Melbourne East Province, Melbourne North Province, Melbourne South Province and Melbourne West Province were then created.Melbourne East was defined by the Electoral Provinces Boundaries Act 1903 (taking effect from the 1904 elections) as consisting of the following divisions: Barkly, Central Fitzroy, Central Richmond, Collingwood East, Darling, North Richmond, South Fitzroy and South Richmond.Melbourne East was abolished soon after the new Doutta Galla, Higinbotham and Monash Provinces were created in 1937.
