The Casa dello Scugnizzo (House of the Scugnizzo), is a multifunctional foundation of social assistance in the district of Materdei in Naples.

San Raffaele (also known as San Raffaele a Materdei or properly, Santi Raffaele e Margherita da Cortona) is a church on Via Amato di Montecassino, in the quartiere of Materdei in Naples, Italy. The church was founded in 1759 built on designs of Giuseppe Astarita, adjacent to a hospice for women called a Ritiro delle Pentite, or hospice for prostitutes. The interior has a Greek cross layout. The interior has a highly decorated polychrome altar surmounted by a baldacchino of gilded wood with angels and a crown. The frescoes were completed by Angelo Mozzillo. San Raffaele (St Raphael), the patron of fishermen, and often represented in paintings with fish. The saint of this church was often revered by infertile couples.

Santa Maria Maddalena de’ Pazzi, also known as the church dei Pazzi or dei Pazzi del Santissimo Sacramento, is a Roman Catholic church in central Naples, Italy; its baroque facade opens on via Salvator Rosa, near vico Nocelle.

Materdei is a station on Line 1 of the Naples Metro and is located in Piazza Scipione Ammirato in Naples. According to the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph it was ranked in 16th place as the most beautiful metro station in Europe.

The Accademia Pontaniana was the first academy in the modern sense, as a learned society for scholars and humanists and guided by a formal statute. Patronized by Alfonso V of Aragon, it was founded by the poet Antonio Beccadelli in Naples during the revival of classical learning and later led by Giovanni Pontano who gave it a more official character to the meetings.

Avvocata (Italian: feminine form of "avvocato", "advocate" in reference to the Madonna as the advocate of humanity) is a quarter of Naples, southern Italy. It is just outside, to the west, of the original historic centre of the Greco-Roman city of Naples. It is the first area beyond the original city developed under the Spanish viceroyship when the Spanish moved into the Kingdom of Naples in the mid-16th century. The most prominent landmark in the area is the large square, Piazza Dante.

Santa Teresa degli Scalzi (previously known as the church of Santa Teresa al Museo, or of Santa Teresa agli studi or della Madre di Dio) is a church in Naples, Italy, located in via Santa Teresa degli Scalzi, a wide street opened during 1806–1810, to connect the historic center of Naples to the zone of Capodimonte. The church is generally closed to the public. Church construction began in 1604 and the church was consecrated in 1612 under the Order of Discalced Carmelites thanks to the donations obtained by the Spanish Carmelite follower of St Teresa of Avila, the preacher Pietro della Madre di Dio.

The church of the Santissima Trinità alla Cesarea (or Santa Maria del Rimedio a Salvator Rosa) is a Baroque-style church, located in Piazetta Trinità alla Cesarea, in central Naples, Italy.

San Giuseppe delle Scalze a Pontecorvo is a church, located in Salita Pontecorvo, in the historical center of Naples, Italy. The church was built in 1619 in the site where the Palazzo Spinelli a Pontecorvo stood, and was rebuilt in 1643 and 1660 by Cosimo Fanzago. Decoration in the exterior and interior were added in 1709 by Giovanni Battista Manni. The church first was linked to Tersian monks, and then to Barnabite priests. The earthquake of 1980 brought down the frescoed ceiling, and failure to protect the fragments led to their degradation, as well as the interior. Vandalism further despoiled the interior or marble and balustrades. The building has not been reconstructed or deconsecrated. The interior has a Greek cross plan with four corner chapels. Much of the interior artwork has been removed, including a St Joseph and Young Jesus (1660) by Luca Giordano, and now in the Museo di Capodimonte. A Calvary and a St Teresa and St Peter of Alcantara by Francesco di Maria are now kept in the Museum of San Martino.
