Santiago Bueras metro station

Del Sol is a metro station on the Line 5 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. The station is named for the nearby Autopista del Sol. The station was opened on 3 February 2011 as part of the extension of the line from Pudahuel to Plaza de Maipú.At 17 metres (56 ft) below the surface, the lower level of the station has two side platforms and two tracks, and above these there is a full-length mezzanine. The platforms are 170 m (560 ft) in length. Large rectangular pillars support the upper levels. The station features a caterpillar-shaped street-level bus area, which is covered by a fiberglass-reinforced PVC fabric membrane roof. It is 120 m (390 ft) long and 25 m (82 ft) wide.

Plaza de Maipú is an underground metro station on Line 5 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. The station is located under the Plaza de Armas of Maipú. It was formerly the deepest station in the Santiago Metro system at 28 metres (92 ft) deep. However, this has since been surpassed by the Line 3 platforms at Puente Cal y Canto station. The station was opened on 3 February 2011 as the southwestern terminus of the extension of the line from Pudahuel to Plaza de Maipú.The platform level of the station is built in a mined tunnel with an oval cross section. At their eastern ends, two also tunneled transepts open into a large, deep cut-and-cover box. The ticket hall is on the first level down of this volume. Multi-level escalators, elevators and stairways lead to the surface.

It is one of the three stations built on a viaduct on the just mentioned extension. The platforms and tracks are enclosed by a steel-framed structure. The portal frames are rectangular in shape with rounded corners and have different heights, which creates an undulating pattern along the platforms lengthwise. The structure base is overlapped by an arched tensile membrane structure. This portion of the station is laterally covered with sandwich-structured composite panels of aluminum. The station features a double decker skyway, which connects the platforms to a cylindrical building. The walkway on the lower deck leads to the westbound platform, while the higher walkway crosses over the tracks and connects with the eastbound platform via two stairways and a two-stop elevator.

It also lies parallel to the Route 68 highway which connects Santiago with Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, and the highway crosses over the underground metro line.
