The Universidad de Morón (University of Morón) is a private university located in Morón, Buenos Aires province, Argentina, and was founded in 1960. Ten faculties offer courses on Agronomy and Agro-alimentary Sciences; Architecture, Design, Art and Urbanism; Law, Political and Social Sciences; Exact, Chemical, and Material Sciences; Philosophy, Education Sciences, and Humanities; Information, Communication Sciences, and Special Techniques; Engineering; Medicine; Applied Tourism Sciences and Population.

Catedral Basílica Inmaculada Concepción del Buen Viaje is located in Morón, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is the seat of the Diocese of Morón and is dedicated to the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception of Good Voyage. It was completed in 1885.

It forms part of the urban conurbation of Greater Buenos Aires.With a surface of 6.11 km², it had 38,068 inhabitants as of 2001, down 13% from the 1991 census. Nonetheless, it is the fourth most populated unit (localidad) in Morón Partido, with a 12% of the total. This city was the place of residence of the Buenos Aires governor Manuel Fresco located between Caseros 200 and Llavallol 1220.

The 2013 Buenos Aires rail disaster occurred on 13 June 2013 at about 07:30 local time (10:30 UTC), in Castelar, Buenos Aires Province, about 30km (19 miles) west of Buenos Aires, Argentina. A passenger train travelling in the morning rush hour hit a stationary train that was empty. At least 3 people were killed and another 315 were injured. This crash took place on the Sarmiento line between Once railway station and Moreno, the same line which was the scene of the 2012 Buenos Aires rail disaster.Following official investigations which determined that the brakes were in working order and that the driver sped through three warning signals without attempting to apply them, the driver, Daniel López, was formally charged with negligent homicide on October 2.

The National Aeronautics Museum "Brigadier Edmundo Civati Bernasconi" (Spanish: Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica) is an Argentine museum located in the city of Morón, Buenos Aires. Established in 1960, the museum is dedicated to the history of aviation, in particular the Argentine Air Force. Its collection includes some unique aircraft, like the Pulqui I and Pulqui II jet prototypes, the Urubú flying wing glider, the I.Ae. 22 DL trainer, and a Latécoère XXV flown by Antoine de Saint Exupéry.

Morón Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto de Morón) (ICAO: SADM) is 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) southwest of the center of Morón, a western suburb of Buenos Aires in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. The airport is located within a densely populated metropolitan area. The runway length includes a 515 metres (1,690 ft) displaced threshold on Runway 20. The El Palomar VOR-DME (Ident: PAL) is located 4.1 nautical miles (8 km) north-northeast of the airport.

El Palomar Airport (IATA: EPA, ICAO: SADP) is a commercial and military airport in El Palomar, Argentina. It is the home base for the 1st Air Brigade (Spanish: Primera Brigada Aérea) of the Argentine Air Force, which is mainly a transportation unit. It is located 18 km (11 mi) west of Buenos Aires, near the El Palomar station of the San Martín railway line. It was created in 1912 to accommodate the Army Aviation School, which was the base for the future Argentine Air Force. Commercial flights in and out of El Palomar were stopped in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As of 2022, commercial flight facilities at El Palomar were reportedly being dismantled and moved to Ezeiza International Airport, limiting hopes that commercial flights would return to El Palomar.

El Palomar is a town in the urban agglomeration of Greater Buenos Aires in Argentina. It is located 20 km (12 mi) north-west of Buenos Aires. The city has the peculiarity of being divided between two partidos of Buenos Aires Province: Morón, where it is called El Palomar, and Tres de Febrero, where it is called Ciudad Jardín Lomas del Palomar. Of its 74,751 inhabitants (2001 census [INDEC]), 57,146 live within the Morón jurisdiction and 17,605 live in Tres de Febrero. El Palomar was established with a station by that name belonging to the Buenos Aires and Pacific Railway (Spanish: Ferrocarril Buenos Aires al Pacífico) opened in 1910. Developer Publio Massini sold the first lots on November 8 of that year, and Juan Manuel Giuffra established the El Palomar Development Council, which obtained electric lighting for the area in its early years. The city is home to the National Military College (Spanish: Colegio Militar de la Nación), the 1st Air Brigade (Spanish: Primera Brigada Aérea) of the Argentine Air Force, and El Palomar Airport. The Italian Society of Tiro al Segno (Target Shooting) (S.I.T.A.S.), is located in Palomar. Horse riding, tennis, soccer, yoga, shooting, hockey, bodybuilding, and other sports can be practiced here. In an annex is the training venue for rugby and hockey. French automaker PSA Group had a manufacturing plant in the area as well, which is now owned by PSA's successor Stellantis. El Palomar is served by Ferrocarril General San Martín commuter rail service at El Palomar station with easy access to Retiro Station in downtown Buenos Aires, as well as by National Route 7.

The Battle of Caseros (Spanish: Batalla de Caseros; Portuguese: Batalha de Caseros) was fought near the town of El Palomar, Argentina, on 3 February 1852, between forces of the Argentine Confederation, commanded by Juan Manuel de Rosas, and a coalition consisting of the Argentine provinces of Entre Ríos and Corrientes, the Empire of Brazil, and Uruguay. The allied forces, known as the Grand Army (Ejército Grande), defeated Rosas, who fled to the United Kingdom. This defeat marked a sharp division in the history of Argentina. After the battle, Justo José de Urquiza, a caudillo and governor of Entre Ríos, became the provisional Director of the Argentine Confederation and sponsored the creation of the country's constitution in 1853, later becoming the first constitutional president of Argentina in 1854.
