Flintshire (Welsh: Sir y Fflint) is a county in the north-east of Wales. It borders the English ceremonial counties of Merseyside and Cheshire, across the Dee Estuary to the north and by land to the east respectively, Wrexham County Borough to the south, and Denbighshire to the west. Connah's Quay is the largest town, while Flintshire County Council is based in Mold. The county covers 169 square miles (440 km2), with a population of 155,000 in 2021. After Connah's Quay-Shotton (23,000) the largest settlements are Flint (13,736), Buckley (16,127) and Mold (10,123). The east of the county is industrialised and contains the Deeside conurbation, which extends into Cheshire and has a population of 53,568. The adjacent coast is also home to industry, but further west has been developed for tourism, particularly at Talacre. Inland, the west of the county is sparsely populated and characterised by gentle hills, including part of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB. The county is named after the historic county of the same name, which was established by the Statute of Rhuddlan in 1284 and has notably different borders. The county is considered part of the Welsh Marches and formed part of the historic Earldom of Chester and Flint.

Swartz Creek is a 33.9-mile-long (54.6 km) creek located in the Mid Michigan area in the United States. It is a tributary of the Flint River and has two branches, the East and West Branch. Its name comes from the German word Schwarz, meaning "black", as the creek water is muddy.

Flint Wagon Works of Flint, Michigan, manufactured wagons from the early 1880s. One of the world's most successful horse-drawn vehicle makers they formed with their Flint neighbours a core of the American automobile industry. In 1905 Flint was promoting itself as Flint the Vehicle City. The former site is now located in the neighborhood of Flint known as "Carriagetown". Flint Wagon Works brought the automotive industry to Flint by buying David Dunbar Buick's Detroit business and moving it to Flint. Overburdened with debt and litigation Flint Wagon Works shareholders sold their business to William C. Durant as of October 12, 1911. Durant took the useful parts of the business and began to manufacture Little automobiles. Sales were hindered by poor quality product and their unappealing brandname and Durant put Little into Chevrolet in 1913. After GM assumed operations, it became the manufacturing location of what later became Chevrolet Flint Manufacturing.

Michigan School for the Deaf is a public K–12 school for deaf children in Flint, Michigan. It is under the Michigan State Board of Education.

Chevy Commons is a park along the Flint River between Kettering University and downtown Flint, Michigan. Formerly the site of a Chevrolet factory widely known as "Chevy in the Hole", it has been redeveloped and revitalized since 2015 as event space and recreational areas with restored grasslands, meadows, wetlands, and woodlands. It also features green spaces, low-maintenance native plants, and walking trails. In total, the creation of Chevy Commons is expected to cost approximately $17.3 million, and it is part of a broader, $36.8-million project to change the landscape of the Flint River in Downtown Flint. The state of Michigan has committed to developing the site as a state park.

The Superintendent's Cottage at the Michigan School for the Deaf is a single-family home located on Beaver Drive, on the Michigan School for the Deaf campus, in Flint, Michigan, It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Luke M. Powers Catholic High School is a coeducational private Roman Catholic high school located in Flint, Michigan serving students in grades 9–12 under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lansing.

The Durant-Dort Carriage Company Office is a National Historic Landmark owned by General Motors. A late 19th-century office building located at 316 West Water Street in Flint, Michigan, it was built and occupied by GM's parent, Durant-Dort, followed by Dort Motor Car Company, until 1924. This building was the focal point of William C. Durant's efforts in building first carriages and then automobiles, and is the only extant building closely associated with Durant. Here pivotal decisions were made in the development and financing of the Buick Motor Company, the beginning of Chevrolet, and Durant's founding of General Motors.The building was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978.

The Federal Building (also known as the United States Post Office) is a US government office building located at 600 Church Street in Flint, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Durant-Dort Factory One (formally Durant-Dort Carriage Factory No. 1, formerly the Flint Road Cart Factory, and commonly known as Factory One) is a former cotton textile, carriage, and automobile factory in Flint, Michigan, that is now an archive and a center for research, meetings, and the community. The building was constructed in 1880 as a cotton textile factory. It produced carriages for the Durant-Dort Carriage Company from 1886 to 1917 and then produced cars for the Dort Motor Car Company from 1917 to 1924. It is often considered the birthplace of General Motors (GM). Factory One housed numerous businesses between 1928 and 2013, when GM purchased it. Architectural firm SmithGroupJJR restored the interior and exterior of the building, which was reopened on May 1, 2017 as a conference and event space and as Kettering University's automotive archive.

Swayze Court Apartments (also called Swayze Apartments) is an apartment building located at 313 W. Court Street in Flint, Michigan. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 215.

The Elks Lodge Building in Flint, Michigan, also known as Old Elks Building, was built in 1913. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
