Liberty Christian School is a private, college preparatory, Christian school located in Argyle, Texas. Liberty offers Christ-centered education from Preschool (age 3) through Grade 12, and provides state championship programs in academics, fine arts, and athletics.Liberty Christian is part of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Liberty's mascot is the Warrior. In 2021 the school made headlines when it announced the hiring of former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten as its head football coach. Two years later it would hire another notable athlete, three-time Olympic gold medalist Jeremy Wariner, as its track and field coach.Established in 1983, Liberty moved to its current location in Argyle in 2005. It was formerly located in Denton, Texas.

Lantana is an upscale census-designated place (CDP) and master-planned community originally developed by Republic Property Group, 8 miles (13 km) south of Denton in unincorporated Denton County, Texas, United States. The population of the CDP at the 2010 census was 6,874. Lantana had 3,274 occupied homes as of December 31, 2015, with an estimated population of 10,641. Lantana shares the 76226 ZIP code of Argyle. Approximately one quarter of the populace have an annual household income of greater than $150,000, with 34% having incomes from $75,000-$150,000. Almost half of the Lantana population has a bachelor's degree or higher. In 2004, 2006, 2011 and 2012, Lantana won the People's Choice Award for Community of the Year at the Dallas Homebuilders Association McSAM Awards. Lantana hosts regular community events, such as outdoor music presentations in the parks, chili cook offs, festivals, picnics, and other similar functions for its residents. Lantana encompasses 1,780 acres (7.2 km2). It was developed starting in 1999 on land acquired from the Rayzor family (known as Rayzor Ranch). On March 16, 2000, Republic Property broke ground on the community. Larkspur and Sandlin were the first neighborhoods developed. The first residents moved in on July 31, 2001. In the first quarter of 2014, Forestar Group, Inc, an original equity partner along with Republic Property Group, acquired the remaining partnership interest in Lantana and continued the final development of the community.The homes in Lantana are built around an 18-hole golf course, designed by Jay Morrish. In October 2003, Lantana Golf Club became a semi-private facility. In October 2004, a 7,500 square-foot club house expansion was completed. The club went private in early 2009.The Lantana Community Association, Lantana's HOA, is managed by Insight Association Management. HOA dues cover, security monitoring and system installation, front yard maintenance, and amenities. The Board of Directors of the Lantana Community Association are: Tara Boswell, Christi Brownlow and Darrel Amen. The Association is currently in the process of transitioning over to a Resident Board of Directors after the reaching the community size the state of Texas requires to do so. Lantana's monthly Board meetings are open to the public and take place in the Bartonville Town Square. Residents who have individual concerns about their home or the community in general may present those items at the monthly meetings. Lantana residents pay an annual fee, through the Lantana Community Association, to the Argyle Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) for Fire and EMS service. The fee is based on the appraised value of each home and the rate charged by the AVFD. Lantana is located in Development District #4, Fresh Water Supply District #6 and Fresh Water Supply District #7. A Fresh Water Supply District (FWSD) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, authorized by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality, to provide water, sewage, drainage and other services within the district's boundaries. The publicly elected Board of Directors manages and controls all of the affairs of the district, subject to the continuing supervision of the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality. The Board establishes policies in the interest of its residents and utility customers. A district may adopt and enforce all necessary charges, fees and taxes in order to provide facilities and service. Four of Denton ISD's schools are located within the community: Tom Harpool Middle School and Annie Blanton Elementary School, which opened in August 2008, Eugenia Porter Rayzor Elementary, which was the first school to be built and opened in August 2002, and Dorothy Adkins Elementary School, which opened in August 2014. Blanton and EP Rayzor elementary schools are rated "Exemplary" and the middle school is rated "Recognized." Lantana is served by John H. Guyer High School, located in southern Denton, TX, about 3 miles (4.8 km) north of the northernmost neighborhood (Madison). Northwest Regional Airport (FAA LID: 52F) is a privately owned, public use airport 3 nautical miles (5.6 km) northwest of Roanoke, in Denton County, Texas, United States.The airport is used solely for general aviation purposes. There is a landing fee for non-based aircraft and non-based flight school aircraft must obtain written prior permission. The airfield was previously called Aero Valley Airport until around 1988.

Rector Road Bridge is a historic truss bridge in Denton, Texas. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.It is a 5-panel, pinned Pratt through-truss bridge with I-beam approach spans. It is 112 feet (34 m) in total length, with the primary span 80 feet (24 m) in length.It was built by the Austin Brothers Company in 1907–08 to span Clear Creek near Sanger, Texas, costing $1,664. Frank and George Austin were then the Atlanta and Dallas agents of the George E. King Bridge Company, although they later started their own bridge fabrication plant.It was later moved to the John Guyer High School at 7501 Teasley Lane in Denton.

Old Alton Bridge, also known as Goatman's Bridge, is a historic iron truss bridge connecting the Texas cities of Denton and Copper Canyon. Built in 1884 by the King Iron Bridge Manufacturing Company, it originally carried horses and later automobiles over Hickory Creek at a location that once was a popular ford for crossing cattle. The bridge takes its name from the abandoned community of Alton, which between 1850 and 1856 was the seat of Denton County. This bridge is the subject of several ghostlore stories featuring a vengeful ghost. The heavily traveled Old Alton Bridge remained in constant use until 2001 when vehicle traffic was moved to an adjacent concrete-and-steel bridge. Prior to the new bridge, it was necessary for motorists to signal with a car horn before crossing the single-lane span. The new bridge straightened out a sharp curve on both sides of the creek and provided additional travel lanes. With vehicle traffic removed, the bridge became an important link connecting the Elm Fork and Pilot Knoll Hiking and Equestrian Trails. Today, it is a popular location for nature enthusiasts and photographers. Old Alton Bridge was included in the National Register of Historic Places on July 8, 1988.

John H. Guyer High School is a public high school situated in the city of Denton, Texas, in Denton County, United States and classified as a 6A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Denton Independent School District located in central Denton County. This was the third high school built by the district and was opened in 2005. In 2013, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.The school's namesake was a former principal at Denton High School who later served as assistant to the Denton ISD Superintendent. Initially, officials of Denton ISD expected Guyer to be slow to grow, but those thoughts were soon disproved by the flood of transfers from other high schools in the area to Guyer. This unexpected influx of students made it necessary to add twelve portable classrooms to the original school. This upgrade sufficed until 2018 when a new 9th grade wing was built. Two new athletic field houses and changes to the surrounding parking lots were also made at this time. Construction was completed in 2021. Its boundary includes sections of Denton, all of the census-designated place of Lantana, and sections of Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Corinth, Double Oak, and Flower Mound.In 2023, Guyer was named one of the top schools in America by U.S. News & World Report.

Byron Nelson High School is a public high school located in Trophy Club, Texas about 20 miles (32 km) north of Fort Worth, Texas, in Denton County and opened in August 2009 for the 09–10 school year. It is the second high school in the Northwest Independent School District. The school cost $86.5 million dollars to build. It is approximately 504,000 square feet (46,800 m2), with a 32,000-square-foot (3,000 m2) courtyard in the middle. The academic wing seats a 700-seat cafeteria with a mall-style food court serving layout. It is built along the property of the Army Corps of Engineers, along the edge of where Denton Creek flows into Lake Grapevine at the lake's southwestern corner. In 2013, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. In 2019, Byron Nelson High School earned an "A" according to TEA's school accountability rating system.Byron Nelson, which competes as a UIL class 6A school, has been a 4-year campus since the 2011–2012 academic year. The campus features environmentally-conscious design elements such as low-energy light fixtures, a landscape designed to conserve water, and the incorporation of recycled building materials sourced from local suppliers. Students have access to a variety of restaurants, including Grille Works, Asian/Italian Restaurant, and a Mexican Restaurant. The school housed a coffeeshop called Java City until its closing for the 2020-21 school year.
