It was built about 1820 and consists of a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay, Federal-style brick house with a two-story, two bay by one bay log house appended. The main section measures 33 feet by 36 feet. Also on the property is a contributing garage (1940). It was built by Jacob Newcomer, a son of Christian Newcomer (1749–1830), one of the founders of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ denomination.In conjunction with a Section 106 study associated with improvements to Route 9, Newcomer Mansion was determined eligible for the National Register by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Officer on August 7, 1997; this Determination of Eligibility was affirmed by the Keeper of the National Register on July 24, 1998.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The John VanMetre House is a log and brick Federal-style house built in Kearneysville, Berkeley County, West Virginia around 1780, and enlarged with a log ell about 1800. Also on the property is a log smoke house, timber frame barn, and two sheds.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Opequon Golf Club, also known as the Stonebridge Golf Club and Martinsburg Golf Club, is a historic country club clubhouse located at Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia. The clubhouse was built in 1922, and is a one-story, Adirondack Lodge Style stone building with a wraparound porch on the north and west sides. It has a steep gable roof with a chimney at the west end. The porches have hip roofs and feature exposed rafter ends and stone columns. It sits on a raised basement. The building was added to on the east end in 1955. West Virginia Senator Charles James Faulkner (1847 - 1929) was a founding member and served as first president of the Opequon Golf Club.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Van Metre Ford Stone Bridge is a historic stone arch bridge located near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia. Built by Pennsylvania builder Silas Harry, it was built in 1832, and is a three span bridge crossing Opequon Creek. It is 132 feet long and constructed of ashlar limestone. The center span measures 32 feet and the two side spans are each 29.5 feet long.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. A historic marker at the bridge says: Named for the property owners this stone bridge built in 1832 across Opequon Creek was major improvement for travellers on Warm Springs Road connecting Alexandria and Bath Va., site of famous mineral waters. The Berkeley County Court established a commission to study and contract for construction of bridge. Silas Harry erected at local expense 165 foot bridge at reported cost of $3,700. The bridge was replaced by a modern, two-lane bridge in 2016. The historic stone bridge remains as a pedestrian bridge.

Tuscarora Creek in Berkeley County, West Virginia, is an 11.4-mile-long (18.3 km) tributary of Opequon Creek, which drains into the Potomac River in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.Located in the tip of the Mountain State's Eastern Panhandle, Tuscarora Creek flows through the city of Martinsburg before draining into Opequon Creek near the Van Metre Ford Bridge. The stream's headwaters are on the eastern flanks of North Mountain, upstream from Poor House Farm Park. The creek was named after the Tuscarora Indians.

It was built about 1850, and is a two-story, L-shaped, clapboard sided log house in the Greek Revival style. It has a gable roof and a one-story, one-bay, period entrance porch with a flat roof. The oldest section of the rear ell was built about 1810 and connected to the main house between 1860 and 1880.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Winebrenners Crossroad is a small unincorporated community along the Warm Springs Road southeast of Martinsburg in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. It is centered on the intersection or "crossroad" of the Warm Springs Road with Van Clevesville Road and Winebrenner Road. The Crossroad area is the site of the 18th century Strayer-Couchman House listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
