Collegiate Basilica of Xàtiva

The natal house of the Pope Alexander VI is located in Xàtiva (Valencia, Spain). It is a small urban house, where the Pope Alexander VI was born and lived in the Kingdom of Valencia, Spain. According to the tradition, at the number 5 of the old square of Aldomar, currently Alexander VI Square, was the birthplace of Rodrigo de Borja. From the original house where Alexander VI was born is preserved the door façade.

The siege of Xàtiva was a siege of Xàtiva in the Kingdom of Valencia. It took place between 8 May and 6 June 1707 during the War of the Spanish Succession. Between 9000 and 11000 Castilan and French troops under Philip of Bourbon commanded by Claude François Bidal d'Asfeld and José Antonio de Chaves Osorio faced an Aragonese and British force of about 2,000 under Miguel Purroi and Josep Marco. The Franco-Castilan forces were victorious and the city's defenders were massacred as an exemplary punishment. Most of the rest of the town's inhabitants were deported to the Manche region and the city was burned down and renamed 'San Felipe'. In reference to this episode in their history, Xàtiva's inhabitants are nicknamed 'socarrats' ('grilled people').

Campo de Fútbol La Murta is a football stadium in Xàtiva in the autonomous community of Valencia. It has a capacity of 9,000, of which 2, 000 are seats. It is the home ground of Sudeva Olimpic Residential Academy who plays in the Tercera División RFEF. The pitch dimensions are 103x63m. The site has been a football field since the late 1920s or early 1930s and is the only home ground Olimpic has used. Until 1960, the ground was very basic, consisting of a simple uncovered tribune on the east side of the ground and a single step around the pitch. In season 1960/61, leading player Richart was transferred to Sporting de Gijón and it is said that this money was used to build the popular terrace at the north end of the ground. Simple improvements to the terracing occurred during the 1980s, but the next major development was the building of a new covered main stand in 2000. Plastic seats and an electronic scoreboard were added in 2002 and artificial turf was installed in October 2005.

The Hermitage of Santa Anna is a religious building located in the surroundings of Xàtiva (València), Spain, built in the 15th century. To reach the hermitage it is necessary to cross the neighboring town of La Llosa de Ranes and to take the way of the Baños that ascends to the territorial part belonging to the municipality of Xàtiva, located at the peak of a conical mount. From this summit the countrysides of Xàtiva, the city, and its castles can be seen as well as, when looking a little bit to the south, the mountains of Mariola, Aitana, and Benicadell. To the north is the riverside of Xúquer, and to the west is the Mediterranean and Castile.
