Castilla–La Mancha (UK: , US: , Spanish: [kasˈtiʎa la ˈmantʃa] ) is an autonomous community of Spain. Comprising the provinces of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo, it was created in 1982. The government headquarters are in Toledo, which is the capital de facto. It is a landlocked region largely occupying the southern half of the Iberian Peninsula's Inner Plateau, including large parts of the catchment areas of the Tagus, the Guadiana and the Júcar, while the northeastern relief comprises the Sistema Ibérico mountain massif. It is one of the most sparsely populated of Spain's regions, with Albacete, Guadalajara, Toledo, Talavera de la Reina and Ciudad Real being the largest cities. Castilla–La Mancha is bordered by Castile and León, Madrid, Aragon, Valencia, Murcia, Andalusia, and Extremadura. Prior to its establishment as an autonomous community, its territory was part of the New Castile (Castilla la Nueva) region along with the province of Madrid, except for Albacete province, which was part of the former Murcia region.

The Hospital de Tavera, also known as the Hospital de San Juan Bautista, Hospital de afuera, or simply as Hospital Tavera, is an important building of Renaissance architecture located is in the Spanish city of Toledo. It was built between 1541 and 1603 by order of the Cardinal Tavera. This hospital is dedicated to John the Baptist and also served as pantheon for its patron, Cardinal Tavera. Initially it began to be constructed under the supervision of Alonso de Covarrubias, being succeeded by other architects, with Bartolomé Bustamante finishing the work. The remoteness with the old part of the city made it known as el hospital de afuera, since within the walls there already existed the Hospital de Santa Cruz. Currently the building remains the property of the House of Medinaceli and inside it is the Museo Fundación Lerma, which houses part of the artistic collections of this lineage, as well as the Section of the Nobility of the National Historic Archive.

The Puerta del Vado is a city gate built between the late-11th and early-12th centuries and located in the neighborhood of Antequeruela in the city of Toledo, (Castile-La Mancha, Spain). This district was known before and after the reconquest of the city of Toledo like the arrabal of San Isidoro, an area of important potter tradition. This gate, due to its location, in the natural departure of the trough that articulates the mentioned neighborhood of the Antequeruela, and being the place where waste was thrown from the nearby pots, it was gradually covered by materials and sediments; Thus, in the late 15th and early 16th century, a series of remodelings took place such as the elevation of its pavement more than one meter above the original. In spite of that renovations, from the 17th century the Puerta del Vado was falling in disuse; being definitively abandoned at the end of this century and leaving only the upper part in sight. The Puerta del Vado is very similar, both in its typology and its proportions, but covered, to the Puerta de Bisagra Vieja. The part of the gate that is now visible from street corresponds to its upper body.

The Alhóndiga is a building in the Spanish city of Toledo, Spain. Situated in the north of the historic ward, its construction dates to the beginning of the 17th century.

The Alcantara Gate (Spanish: Puerta de Alcántara) is a city gate located in Toledo, in Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It gives access to the interior of the historic center of the city, passing through its eastern side the surrounding wall. It is in front of the bridge called Puente de Alcántara, that crosses the Tagus river and that in turn is protected by two gates fortified in its ends. Of Arab origin, it dates from around the 10th century, although important modifications were made during the Christian era. It had great relevance in the defense of the city during the Middle Ages, to be the place through which people and goods entered. The gate is a gateway in a bend, typical of Hispanic-Muslim military engineering, and its main consists of a horseshoe arch located between two square towers and crenellated with arrowslits on its sides.

The Puente de Alcántara is a Roman arch bridge in Toledo, Spain, spanning the River Tagus. The word Alcántara comes from Arabic القنطرة (al-qanţarah), which means "arch". Located at the foot of the Castillo de San Servando, it was built by the Romans after they founded the city. In the Middle Ages it was one of the few entrances for pilgrims into the city. It currently has two arches. There is evidence of its construction in Roman times, at the founding of Toletum. It was damaged and rebuilt in the 10th century, at which time a third arch disappeared, reduced to a gate with a horseshoe arch. It was one of the only bridges that gave access to the city and in the Middle Ages it was the obligatory entry for all pilgrims. During the reign of Alfonso X of Castile it suffered serious damage and was rebuilt. The western tower belongs to this period, later decorated under the reign of the Catholic Monarchs, whose arms decorate its walls. The fruit of the pomegranate (the emblem of Granada) is missing from them, because the Reconquista had not finished at that time. The eastern tower was replaced by a Baroque triumphal arch in 1721, because of its ruinous state. It was declared a national cultural monument in 1921. The bridge should not be confused with either the Alcántara Bridge in Alcántara or the Alconétar Bridge in the Extremadura region, both Roman bridges which cross the River Tagus further downstream.

The Convent of the Franciscan Conceptionists (Spanish: Convento de la Concepción Franciscana) is a Catholic convent of the Order of the Immaculate Conception, founded in 1484 by Saint Beatrice of Silva and located in Toledo, Spain. It is protected by the heritage listing Bien de Interés Cultural. The Chapel of Saint Jerome, which forms part of the complex, was first protected in 1884.

The Castle of San Servando is a medieval castle in Toledo, Spain, near the Tagus River. It was begun as a monastery, occupied first by monks and later by the Knights Templar. In 1874 the castle was named a national monument. The fortress was depicted in El Greco's painting View of Toledo. Lying at the opposite bank of the Tagus than the main urban core, it is connected to the Santa Bárbara residential area through the Cuesta de San Servando.

The Museum of Santa Cruz (Spanish: Museo de Santa Cruz) is an art, archaeology and ethnographic museum located in the historic centre of the city of Toledo, Spain. It exhibits collections pertaining to the province of Toledo, including works painted by El Greco in the city of Toledo. The museum is housed in an architecturally significant 16th-century building, the Hospital de Santa Cruz, which has been protected by a heritage designation, currently Bien de Interés Cultural, since 1902. It is owned by the Spanish State and operated by the regional administration, the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha.

Convent of Santa Fe (Spanish: Convento de Santa Fe) is a former monastery situated in Toledo, Spain. It is situated in the north-east of the historic centre of the city. Included in the heritage listing Bien de Interés Cultural, it has been protected since 30 September 1919. It is built on ancient Muslim ruins.
