The Alcantara Gate (Spanish: Puerta de Alcántara) is a city gate located in Toledo, in Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It gives access to the interior of the historic center of the city, passing through its eastern side the surrounding wall. It is in front of the bridge called Puente de Alcántara, that crosses the Tagus river and that in turn is protected by two gates fortified in its ends. Of Arab origin, it dates from around the 10th century, although important modifications were made during the Christian era. It had great relevance in the defense of the city during the Middle Ages, to be the place through which people and goods entered. The gate is a gateway in a bend, typical of Hispanic-Muslim military engineering, and its main consists of a horseshoe arch located between two square towers and crenellated with arrowslits on its sides.

The Museum of Santa Cruz (Spanish: Museo de Santa Cruz) is an art, archaeology and ethnographic museum located in the historic centre of the city of Toledo, Spain. It exhibits collections pertaining to the province of Toledo, including works painted by El Greco in the city of Toledo. The museum is housed in an architecturally significant 16th-century building, the Hospital de Santa Cruz, which has been protected by a heritage designation, currently Bien de Interés Cultural, since 1902. It is owned by the Spanish State and operated by the regional administration, the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha.

Convent of Santa Fe (Spanish: Convento de Santa Fe) is a former monastery situated in Toledo, Spain. It is situated in the north-east of the historic centre of the city. Included in the heritage listing Bien de Interés Cultural, it has been protected since 30 September 1919. It is built on ancient Muslim ruins.

The Museum of the Army (Spanish: Museo del Ejército) is a national museum located in Toledo, Spain, attached to the Ministry of Defence. The collection was previously housed in Madrid, and the museum opened on its present site in 2010. It occupies two linked buildings, Toledo's historic Alcázar (castle) and a purpose-built extension.

The Alhóndiga is a building in the Spanish city of Toledo, Spain. Situated in the north of the historic ward, its construction dates to the beginning of the 17th century.

The Puente de Alcántara is a Roman arch bridge in Toledo, Spain, spanning the River Tagus. The word Alcántara comes from Arabic القنطرة (al-qanţarah), which means "arch". Located at the foot of the Castillo de San Servando, it was built by the Romans after they founded the city. In the Middle Ages it was one of the few entrances for pilgrims into the city. It currently has two arches. There is evidence of its construction in Roman times, at the founding of Toletum. It was damaged and rebuilt in the 10th century, at which time a third arch disappeared, reduced to a gate with a horseshoe arch. It was one of the only bridges that gave access to the city and in the Middle Ages it was the obligatory entry for all pilgrims. During the reign of Alfonso X of Castile it suffered serious damage and was rebuilt. The western tower belongs to this period, later decorated under the reign of the Catholic Monarchs, whose arms decorate its walls. The fruit of the pomegranate (the emblem of Granada) is missing from them, because the Reconquista had not finished at that time. The eastern tower was replaced by a Baroque triumphal arch in 1721, because of its ruinous state. It was declared a national cultural monument in 1921. The bridge should not be confused with either the Alcántara Bridge in Alcántara or the Alconétar Bridge in the Extremadura region, both Roman bridges which cross the River Tagus further downstream.

The Plaza de Zocodover is a square in the city of Toledo, in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It was the central hub of the city during most of its history, acting as its main square. Part of it was designed by Juan de Herrera during the reign of Philip II. Horses, donkeys, foals, mares, mules and other animals were sold in the square when Toledo was a Spanish-Muslim city. The city's most important market takes place here, as it has for centuries. Today it is held on Tuesdays in the vicinity of Paseo de Merchán or de la Vega.

The siege of the Alcázar was a highly symbolic Nationalist victory in Toledo in the opening stages of the Spanish Civil War. The Alcázar of Toledo was held by a variety of military forces in favour of the Nationalist uprising. Militias of the parties in the Popular Front began their siege on July 21, 1936. The siege ended on September 27 with the arrival of the Army of Africa under Francisco Franco.

The Alcázar of Toledo (Spanish: Alcázar de Toledo, IPA: [alˈkaθaɾ ðe toˈleðo]) is a stone fortification located in the highest part of Toledo, Spain. It is a large quadrangular building measuring 60 meters on a side, framed by four large towers 60 meters high, each crowned by the typical Madrid spire. Most of the building was rebuilt between 1939 and 1957 after the siege of the Alcázar during the Spanish Civil War.

The Statue of Federico Martín Bahamontes is an instance of public art located in Toledo, Spain. It consists of a bronze statue representing Federico Martín Bahamontes, winner of the 1959 Tour de France and adoptive son of the city of Toledo.

The building of the former Casino of Toledo (Spain), whose real name corresponds to the one of Center of Artists and Industrialists, belongs to the trend of Eclecticism that develops In Europe in the 19th century. The architect, Felipe Trigo, mixed elements of the Renaissance, in the configuration and planning of the facade, and Mudéjar, in the use of the brick. The building, whose plant is a quadrilateral, has four floors and a tower; the latter form chamfered corner and houses the main entrance. The materials used in the exterior are very different. Granite has been used in plinth, portal, corners and decorative elements; brick in holes, trim and turret, and masonry in the canvases. Two construction zones can be differentiated, considering the time in which they were erected. The oldest dating from the 1920s and the most recent was built in the 1960s. In 2015 a Saudi Sheikh buys part of the casino for an Islamic interpretation center.

The Puerta del Vado is a city gate built between the late-11th and early-12th centuries and located in the neighborhood of Antequeruela in the city of Toledo, (Castile-La Mancha, Spain). This district was known before and after the reconquest of the city of Toledo like the arrabal of San Isidoro, an area of important potter tradition. This gate, due to its location, in the natural departure of the trough that articulates the mentioned neighborhood of the Antequeruela, and being the place where waste was thrown from the nearby pots, it was gradually covered by materials and sediments; Thus, in the late 15th and early 16th century, a series of remodelings took place such as the elevation of its pavement more than one meter above the original. In spite of that renovations, from the 17th century the Puerta del Vado was falling in disuse; being definitively abandoned at the end of this century and leaving only the upper part in sight. The Puerta del Vado is very similar, both in its typology and its proportions, but covered, to the Puerta de Bisagra Vieja. The part of the gate that is now visible from street corresponds to its upper body.
