Lytse Geast (Dutch: Kleinegeest) is a hamlet in Tytsjerksteradiel in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. Lytse Geast is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Tytsjerk.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1543 as Lutke Geest, and means "little higher elevated sand ground", and was a little island in a bog. Lytse Geast was home to 75 people in 1840. It used to have a bakery and a grocery store, however the supermarkets caused the demise of the retail. Nowadays, it consists of about 60 houses inhabited by commuters.The polder mill Swarte Prinsch was built in Lytse Geast in 1900 and was in commission until 1959. In 1967, it became a recreational home.

Swarteweisein (Dutch: Zwartewegsend) is a hamlet in Tytsjerksteradiel in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. Swarteweisein is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Tytsjerk.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1847 as Zwartewegsend, and means "end of the black road" which was the road built from Leeuwarden to Groningen which ended at the location until 1531–1533. An inn was located at the location with that name. The hamlet contains Groot Vijversburg and the Huis met twintig kamertjes (House with twenty rooms) which were twenty little houses for the poor, and are still inhabited.

Gytsjerksterhoek (Dutch: Giekerkerhoek) is a hamlet in Tytsjerksteradiel in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. Gytsjerksterhoeke is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Gytsjerk. It does not have place name signs. The name was first used around 1960. It consists of about 20 houses, and if the west side is included about 30 houses.The hamlet is centred around the St Martin Church which is located outside of the village of Gytsjerk and dates from around 1100. The main settlement moved to the east leaving a tiny hamlet around the church. There is a still a little so-called woudhuisje (wood house) in the hamlet. These were tiny self build houses most of which have disappeared.

Gytsjerk (Dutch: Giekerk) is a village in Tytsjerksteradiel in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 2,300 in 2018.

The Protestant church of Gytsjerk or Saint Martin's church is a religious building in Gytsjerk, Netherlands, one of the numerous medieval churches in Friesland. It is a late 12th century Romanesque church with a 19th-century facade. Over time the church was several times changed/converted but the North wall, South wall and choir show still beautiful signs of the Romanesque tuffstone church. The church is located on the Canterlandseweg 63 and was once a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Martin but became a Protestant church after the protestant reformation. It is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 35654 and is rated with a very high historical value.

He took over the reign of the kitchen in 2006, when chef René Vaartjes left.Frouckje State is in existence from 1976, as a party centre and restaurant. After many changes of ownership, Thom van der Heide and Johan Oordijk acquired the farmstead in 2003. They upgraded the restaurant to a fine dining restaurant. John Oordijk sold his part in the company to Maître d'hôtel Thom van der Heide, effective per 1 January 2010.

Froskepôlemolen is a smock mill in Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands which dates from 1896 but was rebuilt on its present site in 1962. The mill has been restored to working order and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 24507.

On the West gallery is a monumental Pipe organ, built in 1871 by P. van Oeckelen The church was originally a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Mary but became a Protestant church after the Protestant Reformation. It is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 35658. The building is located on the Wijnserdijk 9.
