Seven Bumps is a hill located in the West End section of Malden Massachusetts. It is located off Fellsway East, behind Fellsmere Pond. This hill has been used for decades in the wintertime for sledding and snowboarding.It is believed that the sport of mountainboarding originated here. In the summer of 1978 an intrepid skateboarder, named Mike Motta, was challenged by an unidentified person to ride down Seven Bumps on his skateboard with the promise of receiving $1. Mike accepted the challenge and successfully navigated the hill for approximately half the distance. He was never paid. Recently, a minor controversy arose surrounding another location allegedly named "Seven Bumps". A college dormitory now stands where this alleged hill was supposed to be. No reliable resources could be located.

Fellsmere Park is a historic park that was designed by the famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted for the city. The construction began in 1893 and was finished in 1899. Most of the land for the park was donated by Malden's first mayor Elisha S. Converse. After the fire on his rubber shoe factory in 1875, he purchased the swamp planning to turn it into a water reservoir in case of emergency. Later, following the advice of the noted journalist Sylvester Baxter, he donated the land for establishing a beautiful public park with a pond. In 1905 the city turned the park over to the Metropolitan Parks Commission (MPC, predecessor to the Metropolitan District Commission and today's Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR)). The MPC in 1913 designed the boundary roads of the park (West Border Road and Boundary Road), which were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in May 2003 as Fellsmere Park Parkways. Fellsway East, which is part of the Fellsway Connector Parkways, runs through Fellsmere Park on the east side of Fellsmere Pond.During the winter, sledding is popular on a hill called Seven Bumps.

Congregation Beth Israel ( בית ישראל ) "House of Israel" (officially Beth Israel Anshe Litte – "House of Israel, people of Lithuania") is an Orthodox synagogue located at 10 Dexter Street in Malden, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1904 by Jewish immigrants from Lithuania.Facing demographic decline in the early 2000s, the congregation undertook a number of efforts to attract Orthodox Jews to Malden and its synagogue. In 2012 Beth Israel had roughly 100 member families and held services three times daily.Beth Israel's first (and longest-serving) rabbi was Dov Ber Boruchoff, who served the congregation from 1906 to 1939. Yitzchak Zev Rabinowitz joined as rabbi in 1997. As of 2016, Rabinowitz was the rabbi.

First Parish in Malden, Universalist is a Unitarian Universalist ("UU") church in Malden, Massachusetts and a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association. It was gathered in 1648 to support the establishment of the city of Malden. It is one of the oldest churches in Massachusetts. The current minister is the Rev. Otto O'Connor, who was called to be the congregation's minister in 2017.

St. Paul's Parish Church is a historic, Gothic Revival Episcopal church designed by architect Ralph Adams Cram. It is located at 26 Washington Street in Malden, Massachusetts and was built in 1913. The current building replaced an earlier 1871 building that now serves as the church's parish house. Some of the church's stained glass windows were created by the noted glass studio of Wilbur Herbert Burnham. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. Its current minister is the Rev. Stephen Voysey.

The Wilbur Fiske Haven House is a historic house at 339 Pleasant Street in Malden, Massachusetts. Built in the 1860s, this Second Empire house is a remnant survivor of a series of fashionable mid-19th century Victorian houses, known as "Doctor's Row". The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. It is now used for professional offices.

Malden Center is an intermodal transit station in Malden, Massachusetts. Located on an elevated grade above Pleasant Street in downtown Malden, it serves the MBTA's rapid transit Orange Line and the MBTA Commuter Rail Haverhill Line, as well as 13 MBTA bus routes. The current station opened on December 27, 1975, replacing an older brick station which has since been repurposed as a restaurant.

The Fells Connector Parkways are a group of historic parkways in the cities of Malden and Medford, Massachusetts, suburbs north of the city of Boston. The three parkways, The Fellsway, Fellsway West, and Fellsway East serve to provide access from the lower portion of the Mystic River Reservation to the Middlesex Fells Reservation. The latter two parkways continue northward, providing access to the interior of the Fells and providing a further connection to Lynn Fells Parkway. Significant portions of these parkways south of the Fells, which were among the first connecting parkways designed to be part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston by Charles Eliot, were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Browne-Masonic Building is a historic commercial and fraternal organization building at 126-150 Pleasant Street in Malden, Massachusetts. Built in 1894, it is a good example of Classical Revival architecture, designed by the prominent Boston firm Hartwell & Richardson. The building from its inception served as a home for a variety of fraternal organizations, notably housing local Masonic organization for much of the 20th century. The four-story brick building now houses commercial space on the ground floor and residences in the upper stories. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.

Park Street station is a former railroad station in Medford, Massachusetts. Constructed by the Boston and Maine Railroad in 1894, the building was abandoned in the 1930s, although passenger service continued to stop until 1957. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 as Park Street Railroad Station. It is the only extant railroad station building in Medford.

Oak Grove station is a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) intermodal transit station in the northern section of Malden, Massachusetts, just south of the Melrose border. It is the northern terminus of the rapid transit Orange Line and a stop on the Haverhill Line commuter rail service. The accessible station has a 788-space park and ride lot and is served by four MBTA bus routes. The Boston and Maine Railroad opened through Malden in 1845, and a stop at Oak Grove was added by the 1870s. It closed in 1958 amid a series of cuts. The MBTA opened the modern station in March 1977 as the northern terminus of the Haymarket North Extension of the Orange Line. It also temporarily served as the southern terminus of Haverhill Line service in 1984–85 after a bridge fire at North Station. Renovation work on the Orange Line platform, including a new emergency exit ramp, took place in 2013–14. Three new elevators were added in 2019–2022, with one existing elevator replaced. Haverhill Line resumed stopping at the station during a 2022 closure of the Orange Line; Oak Grove was retained as a stop after.

The Old Ship Street Historic District is a historic district on both sides of Pleasant St. from Riverside Ave. to Park Street in Medford, Massachusetts. The district is based around shipyard established in 1803 by Thatcher Magoun, which operated into the 1870s. None of the industrial shipyard facilities have survived, leaving the area as a predominantly residential area. Most of the housing in the area derives from the first few decades of the shipyard's existence, resulting in a significant number of Federal and Greek Revival houses, built roughly between 1803 and 1855.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
