The Big Texan Steak Ranch

Splash Amarillo Waterpark was a family-friendly waterpark located in Amarillo, Texas. It was originally built as FireWater Waterpark in May 2000. It sat on a 13-acre (53,000 m2) site just half a mile down Interstate 40 from the Big Texan Steak Ranch. Attractions consisted of a 14,000-square-foot (1,300 m2) wave pool, 845-foot (258 m) long lazy river, a tower housing six separate slides, kids pool, and kids play tower. It also features a gift shop, concession stand, volleyball courts, and an arcade. It closed in 2016, and all the slides will be relocated to a new park in Plainview called Royal Splash Texas, which will open in 2017.

KIXZ (940 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a News Talk Information format. Licensed to Amarillo, Texas, United States, the station serves the Amarillo area. The station is currently owned by Townsquare Media and is licensed to Gap Broadcasting Amarillo License, LLC. The station features programming from Fox News Radio, Compass Media Networks, Premiere Networks, Radio America, Texas State Network, and Westwood One. Its studios are located on Southwest 34th Avenue in Southwest Amarillo, and its transmitter tower is based southeast of the city in unincorporated Randall County. KIXZ's format was flipped from Nostalgia/Big Band to News/Talk, as "News/Talk 940" in late March 2003 during the beginning of the Iraq War. The initial lineup included Glenn Beck 8a-11a, Dr. Laura (tape delay from previous weekday) 11a-2p, Sean Hannity 2p-5p and Michael Savage 5p-8p. KIXZ ran a top 40 format in the 1960s, going up against KPUR. Wink Martindale was a prominent DJ on the Jones Radio Network, Nostalgia/Big Band format, featured in the late 1990s and early 2000s on KIXZ.

The Amarillo National Center is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Amarillo, Texas. It was built in 2000. Along with the Amarillo Civic Center, it hosts local concerts and sporting events for the Amarillo area. The arena contains 5,000 permanent seats and its 45,000-square-foot (4,200 m2) arena floor can hold an additional 5,000 floor seats. The center is named for locally owned Amarillo National Bank.

Potter County Memorial Stadium is a baseball-only stadium in Amarillo, Texas. It was most recently home to the Texas AirHogs, a professional baseball team and member of the American Association, and the West Texas A&M Buffaloes baseball team, which is a member of the Division II Lone Star Conference. It was home to the Amarillo Dillas of United League Baseball until 2010. It broke ground in 1948, and opened in 1949. It is nicknamed Dilla Villa, dating back prior to Amarillo National Bank's purchase of naming rights when the Dillas made their first appearance in Amarillo in 1994. Following the 2016 season it was announced the AirHogs would not be returning to Amarillo citing "deplorable" field conditions.

The 15,000-capacity Dick Bivins Stadium is a stadium in Amarillo, Texas, USA, located at 800 S Marrs Street on the city's east side. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the Amarillo Independent School District (AISD). During the season, many Texas Panhandle area high school football teams play regular and post-season games here. These schools include the four AISD-affiliated high schools: Amarillo High, Caprock High, Tascosa High, and Palo Duro High. The stadium is named after Dick Bivins, Amarillo civic leader and nephew of Lee Bivins. It has the distinction of being the first stadium in the world to use the next-generation artificial turf surface FieldTurf (an artificial turf that closely resembles natural grass by using sand and rubber as an infill material), which it first installed in 1998.

Pullman was an unincorporated community in Potter County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is now within the city limits of Amarillo.

The Nathaniel J. Neal Unit is a state prison for men located in unincorporated Potter County, Texas, near Amarillo. It is owned and operated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. This facility was opened in December 1994, and a maximum capacity of 1732 male inmates held at various security levels. Sergio Perez, Senior Warden - Charles Bristow, Assistant Warden. The prison is immediately adjacent to the state's Clements Unit. The Neal Unit was closed due to "maintenance" issues in 2020 and set to re-open in 2022, it has not been opened since.

Caprock High School is located in Amarillo, Texas in Potter, County, which is part of the Texas Panhandle. Caprock is one of four high schools in the Amarillo Independent School District and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. Caprock was built in 1964 and celebrated its 50th graduating class in 2014. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

The William P. "Bill" Clements Unit (BC) is a state prison of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) located in unincorporated Potter County, Texas, United States, east of Downtown Amarillo. It is located on Spur 591 off of Loop 335.As of 2016 it had 3,700 inmates.

St. Laurence Catholic Church, formerly St. Laurence Cathedral, is a parish church in the Diocese of Amarillo located in Amarillo, Texas, United States. It served as the cathedral church of the Diocese of Amarillo from 1975 to 2011.

Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (IATA: AMA, ICAO: KAMA, FAA LID: AMA) is a public airport six miles (10 km) east of downtown Amarillo, in Potter County, Texas, United States. The airport was renamed in 2003 after NASA astronaut and Amarillo native Rick Husband, who died in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster in February of that year.

Folsom was an unincorporated community in Potter County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. The area is now within the city limits of Amarillo.
