Penticton Water Aerodrome

Penticton Regional Airport (IATA: YYF, ICAO: CYYF), also known as Penticton Airport, is a regional airport located 1.8 nautical miles (3.3 km; 2.1 mi) southwest of Penticton, British Columbia, a city in the Okanagan region of Canada. It is owned and operated by Transport Canada, serving the South Okanagan, Similkameen and West Kootenay areas. Initial examination for the airport's construction began in 1937. The proposed locations were owned by the Penticton Indian Band at that time, but expropriated in 1939. Temporary public use of the Penticton Regional Airport was approved in 1945, and in 1956, it was given a permanent airport license. It has a 6,000 by 148 ft (1,829 by 45 m) runway aligned 16–34, and served approximately 80,000 passengers in 2011. The airport has a restaurant, car rentals, weather office, Canada Customs, forestry air tanker base, helicopter base, and administrative buildings. It has seen two accidents and incidents throughout its history. The airport has scheduled flights to Vancouver International Airport and Calgary International Airport, provided by Air Canada Express, Pacific Coastal Airlines, and WestJet Encore. Penticton Regional Airport terminal underwent an expansion in 2016 to add more departure seating and a further upgrade in 2019 — 2021. Car parking is available at the airport.

Cherry Lane Shopping Centre is a 270,000 square feet (25,000 m2) enclosed shopping mall located in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. Prior to opening in 1975, a contest was held in which to decide upon a name for the new shopping centre. Many submissions were received and the present name was selected. Cherry Lane showcases a good mix of retail tenants and services, including the anchor stores, London Drugs, Save-On-Foods, and Hudson's Bay. It is the only enclosed shopping centre in the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley.

Shingle Creek is a tributary of the Okanagan River, joining the Okanagan within the City of Penticton, British Columbia, Canada, after rising on the eastern slopes of Mount Brent in the southern Thompson Plateau to the west of the city, approaching it via the south flank of Mount Nkwala, which overlooks the city. It has been variously mapped as the Beaver River, Beaver Creek, and Riviere aux serpents. The unincorporated community of Shingle Creek, to the west of Mount Nkwala, is named for this stream.

Skaha Lake is a freshwater lake, through which the Okanagan River flows, in the Okanagan region of south central British Columbia. Along the shoreline are Penticton (north), Kaleden (west), and Okanagan Falls (south).

Operated by the Peach City Community Radio Society, the station received approval to broadcast by the CRTC on May 4, 2015. The station began broadcasting at 92.9 MHz (FM) with 49.9 watts on February 1, 2019.

CKOR is a Canadian radio station in Penticton, British Columbia. Bell Media owns the station, which operates at 800 AM with 10,000 watts of transmission power in the daytime and 500 watts at night, and airs an adult hits format under the Bounce brand. CKOR uses a non-directional antenna at all times.

Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a 140-bed hospital located in Penticton, British Columbia. It is operated by Interior Health and affiliated with UBC Faculty of Medicine. Penticton Regional Hospital was incorporated in 1913.

Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. Skaha Bluffs lies within the asserted territory of the Okanagan Nation Alliance. World-class climbing opportunities are found at Skaha Bluffs, recreational climbing has been occurring in the area since the 1980s.

Penticton Secondary School (Pen High or PSS) is a high school located in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. PSS is operated by School District 67 Okanagan Skaha. It is one of two secondary schools in Penticton and one of three in the school district. It is located on the same campus as the Okanagan School of the Arts. The school district's French immersion classes for grades 9-12 are located at the school.

Skaha Bluffs is a rock climbing area just south of Penticton, British Columbia, Canada on a hillside above Skaha Lake. The climbing takes place in three parallel canyons. Notable climbing walls include Fortress, Red Tail, Doctors wall, The Great White Wall and The Grand Canyon. The area is mostly a sport climbing area, though traditional climbing opportunities also exist. The rocks in the area are predominantly a coarse-grained gneiss and are generally under 30 metres tall. Skaha Bluffs is a climbing area with mild weather, easy access and a number of sport climbing routes. Access is from Lakeside Road to Smythe Road up along Gillies Creek.

The Penticton Memorial Arena is a 2,212-seat multi-purpose arena in Penticton, British Columbia. It was home to the Penticton Vees ice hockey team. It was also home of the BC Hockey Hall of Fame (before it moved to the South Okanagan Events Centre), and facilitates Penticton Minor Hockey, the Okanagan Hockey School and the Okanagan Hockey Academy.

The South Okanagan Events Centre is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. It is home to the Penticton Vees ice hockey team. The arena opened to the public in September 2008. Previously, the Vees played at Penticton Memorial Arena. The centre hosted the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Canadian national women's curling championship from January 27 to February 4.
