Estádio Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira

The JK Building is the tallest building in downtown Belo Horizonte, Brazil, named for Juscelino Kubitschek, who was the mayor of Belo Horizonte and later president of Brazil. Standing at 40 stories tall, the JK Building is the third tallest building in Brazil after the Itália Building (45 stories) and Mirante do Vale (51 stories), both in São Paulo. It was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in 1951, to work like a complete town. 13 kinds of apartments are found there (up to 3 or 4 bedrooms) and several kinds of people and families live there, too. Shops on the first floor, with access from the streets, provide inhabitants with everything they need without leaving the building. The JK building succeeded Acaiaca Building (29 stories) as the tallest building in Belo Horizonte, and it still maintains this record.

The Praça Raul Soares is a major square of Belo Horizonte. Built in French style, it is situated at the confluence of four major avenues: Amazonas, Augusto de Lima, Bias Fortes and Olegário Maciel. The square is named in honor of the former governor of Minas Gerais, Raul Soares de Moura. In 2008, the square underwent revitalization that was funded through the municipal Participatory Budgeting program and cost the equivalent of $2,600,000 U.S. dollars. The flowerbeds, sidewalks, large fountain and drinking fountains were restored. The project aimed to give more security and accessibility to the flow of pedestrians. Compromised trees were replaced, lampposts were resized, and advertisements were removed or adjusted in accordance with the appropriate codes. The walks were improved to provide easy access for the disabled and the visually impaired. Praça Raul Soares is listed by IEPHA (Instituto Estadual do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico de Minas Gerais) and therefore cannot be redeveloped, just restored.

The Aureliano Chaves Building is a commercial building inaugurated in 2014 in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, designed by Gustavo Penna Arquiteto & Associados and Trínia Arquitetura. The building is owned by Forluz (Fundação Forluminas de Seguridade Social), a pension fund for CEMIG employees, and is currently the tallest in the city of Belo Horizonte. The building is named after Aureliano Chaves, former governor of the state of Minas Gerais and former vice-president of Brazil.

Rede Minas is a Taft Broadcasting over-the-air public television network based in Belo Horizonte, capital of the state of Minas Gerais. It belongs to Empresa Mineira de Comunicação, a state government body, which also maintains Rádio Inconfidência. It was created in 1984 by a decree signed by then governor Tancredo Neves, who established the Fundação TV Minas Cultural e Educativa, then linked to the State Secretariat for Culture. The third largest public network in the country, in addition to airing its own programming, it relays TV Brasil and TV Cultura, also public, and has affiliates throughout Minas Gerais and other states in Brazil.

The President Itamar Franco Culture Center (Portuguese: Centro de Cultura Presidente Itamar Franco) is a cultural and institutional complex located in the Barro Preto neighborhood, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The Center houses the Sala Minas Gerais and the headquarters of the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the gastronomic space Mineiraria, and the headquarters of Rede Minas and Rádio Inconfidência. The complex was designed by local architects Jô Vasconcellos and Rafael Yanni, with acoustic consultancy by José Augusto Nepomuceno for the concert hall.

Sala Minas Gerais is a concert hall in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Inaugurated in 2015, it was designed and built especially to serve as the headquarters of the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra. It has an area of 32,464m² and a capacity of 1,477 spectators, with areas for orchestra and choir. The room features variable acoustic resources - such as sail-shaped diffuser walls, ceiling diffusers and absorbent chairs - and was designed internally by architect José Augusto Nepomuceno. The building is a part of the Centro de Cultura Presidente Itamar Franco, a cultural center designed by architects Jô Vasconcellos and Rafael Yanni.Since February 2015, Sala Minas Gerais has hosted concerts from the regular series of the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra.

Carlos Prates is a Belo Horizonte Metro station on Line 1. It was opened on 1 August 1986 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Eldorado to Lagoinha. The station is located between Calafate and Lagoinha.

The Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais (Portuguese: Assembleia Legislativa de Minas Gerais) is the state legislature of Brazil's Minas Gerais state. It consists of 77 state deputies elected by proportional representation and is based in Belo Horizonte, the state capital. The Assembly has been based at the Palácio da Inconfidência since the building's 1972 opening; it was made a national heritage site in 2009.Deputies elected in the 2018 Brazilian state elections took office in February 2019 as part of the 19th Legislature. Their terms will end in February 2023. Agostinho Patrus of Brazil's Green Party is currently the Assembly president.

Praça Sete de Setembro (Sete de Setembro Square) normally called Praça Sete, is a square inside Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the center of the city's downtown. It's located at the intersection of two major avenues, Afonso Pena and Amazonas, and by the streets Rio de Janeiro and Carijós.It boasts an obelisk at its center donated by the people of the neighboring Capela Nova do Betim, today the city of Betim, the inhabitants of the state capital, on the occasion of the commemoration of the centenary of the Independence of Brazil, on September 7, 1822. The "Lollipop", as it is known, is made of granite and formed by a 7m needle supported over a square pedestal adorned by a pole in each of its vertices. It was designed by architect Antonio Rego and built by engineer Antonio Gonçalves Gravatá. history.

Lagoinha is a Belo Horizonte Metro station on Line 1. It was opened on 1 August 1986 as the eastern terminus of the inaugural section of the line, from Eldorado to Lagoinha. In April 1987, the line was extended to Central. The station is located between Carlos Prates and Central.

The Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes (Portuguese: Basílica de Nossa Senhora de Lourdes), also known as the Basilica of Belo Horizonte, is a Catholic church built in a predominantly neo-Gothic style, which is located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Its construction was completed around 1923. The author of the project was Manoel Tunes, and the works were made by Antonio Gonçalves Gravatá. In 1958 he was elevated to Basilica by decision of Pope Pius XII. The Church has three naves and has a length of 47 meters in length and 17 in width. In the interior there are three images of the Virgin Mary in her invocation of Our Lady of Lourdes, A wooden one, usually used in processions and coronations; A sculpted one in plaster, more than 100 years old, that is in the Grotto of Lourdes and another on the altar, which was brought from Rio de Janeiro on the occasion of the consecration of the church to the status of basilica, an act formally made in 1958.
